air jordan shoes Lakers vs. Thunder Game 3 Review [23 May 2012|11:38am]

The Lakers just won the first of two must wins.

Now they have to take care of business and win on Saturday. Playing back cheap jordan 13 shoesto back games is never ideal, but at least it gives the Lakers the opportunity to tie the series in one swift motion.

If you watched how the Thunder dismantled the former champs, Dallas, then you understand the importance of game three's victory. Dallas forced OKC into two very tough opening games, and ended up losing both by four total points. Dallas was blown out in game three, and then lost by just six in the closer. With LA's victory comes a dent in the armor of OKC. They finally lost a close game. The Lakers closed out strong and won 99-96, handing OKC their first loss of the postseason.

Usually a win like this for a former championship team isn't all that exciting, but the way the Thunder have been closing, a win like this is monumental, especially following game two's meltdown. The Lakers continued some of the positivesjordan shoes for sale of game two, and even overcame what looked to be a deadly run by James Harden to finish ahead in game three.

During half time of the Boston-Philly game, the ESPN telecast had a gaffe and showed Retro Jordan Shoesa clip that stated, "Thunder at Lakers - Next on ESPN, Thunder lead series 2-1." I joked with some people that the fix was in. Well, 42 free throws later, maybe I was right. Kobe benefited from some interesting calls, and the Lakers sank 41-42 free throws, with Kobe shooting 18-18. But OKC shot 26-28, so I'd say that the refs were just a little happy with the whistle.

The ESPN telecast jumped to the game with the Lakers up 6-0 at the 9:58 mark. This is just one reason why I really dislike national telecasts. As a Lakers fan, I would rather watch the beginning of LA rather than the end of Boston vs Philly. Although entertaining, I care about the Lakers game. I wanted to see how LA would respond in the opening minutes. I guess I'll never know. But the Jordans for cheapcrowd sure was loud, so something good must have happened. I did get to see Ramon Sessions have a nice start. Sessions finished a backdoor cut to make the game 8-0. Then he hit a floater jordans for salein the lane off of a pick and roll to make the game 10-4. Kobe followed with a handoff in the far corner for a 20ft jumper, swish.

air jordan shoes Only eight teams in league history have overcome a 3-1 deficit to win a best-of-sev [23 May 2012|11:19am]

But that's when James and Wade put on a jaw-dropping spectacle, combining for all but two points in a 25-5 run that put Miami up 76-66.

During one sequence, Wade lost his balance and fell and was lucky to push the ball toward JamesCheap Jordans near the top of the key. As Wade scrambled to his feet, James alertly passed him the ball and he calmly knocked down a 3-pointer to give the Heat a 64-63 lead. The pair made easy shots, tough ones and did everything in their power to steer Miami away from a 3-1 hole.

Only eight teams in league history have overcome a 3-1 deficit to win a best-of-seven series. That's what the Heat were staring at with a loss in Game 4.

The Heat took a 76-70 lead into the fourth, and every time Indiana got close, either Wade or James responded.

Miami also got a huge lift down the stretch from Haslem, who hasn't been a factor in the series but made four big jumpers in the final six minutes despite having his head split by an elbow by Indiana's Tyler Hansbrough.

''Those guys carry a large load,'' Haslem said of Wade and James. ''But sometimes we need other guys to Cheap Jordan Shoesstep up and tonight was my turn. Next time it might be somebody else.''

Granger's 3-pointer got the Pacers within 96-91 with 1:33 left, but Haslem hit another short shot and James closed the Pacers out with three free throws in the last 16 seconds.

Following the game, James sat in front of his locker icing both knees and reading a hard copy of ''Hunger Games.''

After finishing a page or two, he set the book down. There'd be time for jordan shoes for salethat later.

The Heat were heading home, feeling good about the next chapter.

NOTES: James, Wade and Haslem combined for 53 of Miami's 55 second-half points. ...air jordan shoes Before the game, Miami F Juwan Howard and Pacers G Stephenson exchanged words. In Game 3, Stephenson mocked James by flashing a choke sign after James missed a foul shot and Howard confronted the Indiana reserve. Pacers assistant coach Brian Shaw stepped between the players. ... Granger was slapped with his second technical in two games after getting in Wade's face late in the second quarter. ... James was one rebound shy of his postseason high. ... The national anthem Jordan Shoes For Cheapwas performed on harmonica by 85-year-old Carl Erskine, who pitched for the Brooklyn Dodgers from 1948-59. Erskine is an Indiana native. ... Heat owner Micky Arison was asked for his autograph by several fans sitting near the Miami bench. ''You must be desperate,'' he cracked.

air jordan shoes Yeah Tiger’s Back | Sport Posts | User Generated Sports Articles and Journalism [23 May 2012|10:47am]

Let’s face it, there isn’t a woman in the world who can resist the scent of a wounded boy. cheap jordanAfter a self-imposed absence from my life, Captain America finally secured a touch down on the 18th hole just as 2011 neared its end.

Now before I go on, I ought to admit my part in the troubled Tiger’s downfall. I won’t say it was my shining hour but … actually, who am I kidding.

I’m reminded of one of our daily editorial conferences when both the news and features head honchos fought for the editor’s attention over top billing in the newspaper with a stream of steamy Tiger kiss and tells. I let out a palpable sigh. Just how far from the pack had Tiger strayed? Seriously, enough already!

I had spent the previous three weeks promoting and syndicating our exclusives kicking off with some subbing brilliance: “Tiger is a Lion Cheetah” and detailing tawdry tales of his sexual encounters with a range of envious cocktail waitresses andjordan retro shoes good time girls.

How many times could I possibly get Sky News to run more News of the World footage of teary mascara Nike Jordanssmudged escorts in pleated crimson frocks detailing their pleasures and heartbreaks to a family audience?

As a fan of the great man, even I was finding this ongoing series of revelations a tad weary. And despite my retro jordansTiger and tabloid loyalties, these emerging encounters with the world’s golf number one were fast becoming tortuous reads and frankly proving tricky to keep up with. Fortunately newspapers routinely updated their readers with birdie tree graphics and for the avoidance of doubt, course layouts charting his latest cocktail inspired conquests.

You’re just jealous because you’re the only female he hasn’t tried to seduce in a downtown restaurantjordan shoes car park,” sniggered a smug-married lad from the picture desk sitting to my left.

Cheap Jordans Hill went up with two hands straight in the air and ended up swatting KD's dunk attemp [21 May 2012|11:21am]

Then Derek Fisher had his only positive moment while guarding Kobe.Hoping to take care of the mismatch, Kobe called for the ball at the free throw line with the much smaller Fisher on him. Metta passed up Kobe and instead hit Blake 2012 Jordansin the near corner. Unfortunately, Blake ended up throwing the ball away, and Fisher scored in transition.

Bynum finished the quarter strong with his pet move. Bynum took two dribbles at the near mid block and turned baseline for the turnaround jumper. He missed, but he was fouled. He sank both of the free throws and the Lakers closed the quarter up 23-15.2012 JordansKobe finished the quarter 3-6 for 6 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists, and 2 steals. Kobe really hurt OKC with quick, decisive moves. Bynum went 1-4 for 4 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists. Pau went 2-5 for 4 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 turnovers. Pau's aggression on the glass was great to see. Westbrook really struggled, shooting 1-4 for 2 points and 1 rebound, and he was subbed out early at the 6:01 mark. Durant went 2-5 for 4 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 turnovers.

In the second quarter, the Thunder closed the gap and cut the deficit to 3 points within the first two minutes. However, the Lakers played some great pick and roll defense and forced Westbrook into a turnover that led to a Blake 3.Westbrook ran the high pick and roll and attacked right. Pau did a great job of hedging, so Westbrook backed out and used the pick again, this time to go left. Pau worked hard, and cut Westbrook off in the lane. Westbrook elevated and tried to kick out, but Barnes shot the gap and ended up pushing the court and hitting Blake for a 3. Blake followed with a backdoor cut and assist from Pau for a layup. Sessions followed with a nice aggressive take to the basket that led to made free throws and then he hit a 9ft fading jumper in the lane.

Despite the game being a must win, coach Brown carefully monitored minutes. Kobe and Drew checked back in at the 6:09 mark, their normal rotation from the regular season, with the score at 32-33. Kobe immediately picked up his third foul, but coach Brown trusted him to play smart and he let Kobe finish the quarter. Following some Kobe free throws, Jordan Hill came up big with an amazing block jordan shoes for saleon Kevin Durant.Durant dribbled at the near wing and Metta popped the ball out. Durant regathered it 5ft behind the far wing 3, danced a bit, and blew by MWP to attack the baseline and get to the rim. With KD coming with a full head of steam, Hill rotated to the far block and met KD at the top of his jump. Hill went up with two hands straight in the air and ended up swatting KD's dunk attempt.

Then Russell Westbrook lost his composure and freaked out.Let me just say, if thisair jordan shoes had been Metta who acted so petulantly, he would have been suspended for throwing those elbows. Westbrook dribbled at the far top 3 and got into the lane. Hill rotated and swatted his layup, Ibaka missed the tip, and Westbrook regathered the ball at the near block. Bynum swatted Westbrook again, the ball squirted Cheap Jordans Shoesout, and Westbrook dove for it on the floor. MWP immediately ran over and stood over Westbrook as he went for the jump ball. While on the floor, Westbrook began throwing elbows and swinging his arms wildly to prevent MWP from getting a handle on the ball. Westbrook freaked out, popped Metta in the back of the knee, and got upset that MWP's leg gave out and dropped on him. MWP dropped a knee on Westbrook, and Westbrook got up and acted all hard.

Jordan Shoes For Cheap The Lopezes are the first family of U.S. taekwondo [21 May 2012|11:15am]

:DALLAS -- Biggest brother Jean Lopez, the coach, the instigator, the only sibling not Cheap Jordansto compete for the Olympics in taekwondo, gets choked up for a minute.

He is thrilled to speak about his 33-year-old brother, Steve, who will be aiming for a fourth Olympic medal in his fourth Olympics this summer in London.

Jean can't help but giggle when he speaks about his 28-year-old sister, Diana, who will competeCheap Jordan Shoes in her second Olympics and try to better the bronze medal she earned in 2008.

But it is when Jean speaks about Mark, 30, whom Jean calls "the greatest athlete ever in the history of our sport, our Michael Jordan," that his voice breaks.

Mark was upset by Terrence Jennings in the U.S. Olympic trials and will travel to London only as a team practice partner.

Jean describes Mark's brand of fighting this way:

"He is the most stylish competitor you've ever seen in the sport," said Jean, who admits his family pride jordan shoes for salemight be in play but insists exaggeration is not, just before his voice thickens again.

"It's still hard to talk about," Jean said. "I'm sure it will be even more difficult in London."

Mark was a silver medalist in Beijing but, after dealing with a shoulder injury this year and having to fight from a second-seeded position at the trials instead of the top-seeded spot where Steve and Diana fought, Mark lost to the 25-year-old Jennings of Alexandria, Va.

Even Steve called his own triumph at the trials this year "bittersweet" after Mark lost.

And if Steve were to win gold in London, he would become the 30th U.S. Olympian to have won gold in at air jordan shoesleast three Olympics. And of those, only four-time discus gold medalist Al Oerter earned his medals in a single event rather than a swimmer or track athlete who competes in multiple events.

Steve won gold in 2000 and 2004. In Beijing in 2008 he got a bronze in a competition he Jordan Shoes For Cheapcharacterizes as "a momentary slip-up." Winning had become almost automatic and losing the gold, he said, provided something he needed. "A kick in the butt," Steve said.

Nike Jordans [21 May 2012|11:07am]

CHICAGO (Reuters) - Prime Minister David Cameron savoured Chelsea's win over German club Bayern Munich in the Champions League final on Sunday after watching the deciding penalty shootout with German Chancellor cheap jordanAngela Merkel at a summit in the United States.

"It's not often you get the opportunity to watch a penalty shootout between an English team and a German team and watch the English team win," Cameron told reporters in Chicago before a NATO summit.

"There are many great privileges in this job but to be able to do that with the German chancellor was a great moment - but we did hug and make up afterwards," he said.

Cameron was photographed with his arms thrust aloft in triumph while watching Saturday's final on jordan retro shoestelevision with other world leaders during a break in the Group of Eight summit at the U.S. presidential retreat at Camp David, Maryland, on Saturday.

In the photo Cameron was next to U.S. President Barack Obama, with his mouth open in amazement, and Merkel, who looked disappointed.

Chelsea became the European champion when Didier Drogba made the last kick of the shootout in Germany after the match ended in a 1-1 stalemate after extra time.

It was sweet revenge for Cameron after he and Merkel watched part of Germany's 4-1 thrashing of England at the 2010 World Cup on television at a Group of 20 summit in Toronto.

Cameron said he had to explain some of the finer points of Saturday's penalty shootout to Obama "and he was beginning to catch up on the rules by the time it was over."

"You've got the American president not fully understanding the rules of football, or soccer as he would call it, a very despondent German chancellor and, of course, another happy man in the room, which was the Russian prime minister (Dmitry Medvedev)," he said.

Chelsea's success was built on the millions invested in the club in the past nine years by RussianNike Jordans billionaire Roman Abramovich.

Cameron said the leaders had watched a bit of the game and then he had insisted they get back to their discussion of weighty global matters, including the euro zone debt crisis.

"I got everyone back in the room but when the penalty shootout started Angela Merkel drifted away and after retro jordanstrying to focus minds on what we were talking about I drifted away too, obviously suspecting that an England-Germany penalty shootout was going to be another difficult night for me," he said.

"That is why you see me being quite so elated when Drogba putjordan shoes that great penalty in," he said.

Nike Jordans :Salt Lake Bees: Bees fall behind early, lose to Isotopes 10-7 [18 May 2012|03:18pm]

:"Baseball is a game of momentum," said shortstop Ed Lucas, who drove in two Bees runs. "ItsCheap Jordanseasy to fall into a trap of being down and staying down.

"This is the PCL."

The Bees tried to rally with a three-run second, but the Isotopes added another middling large rallyCheap Jordan Shoes with three runs in the fifth.

When Salt Lake was in the midst of losing 11 of 12 games, multi-run innings were at the root of the Bees’ losing ways.

When Salt Lake turned its fortunes around by recently winning three of four against Round Rock, it benefitedjordan shoes for salefrom a series of explosions, including a five-run ninth to steal a game, 10-9.

But the Bees were fortunate in that game, falling behind when the Express scored four inair jordan shoes the first.

"You’ve got to stay away from big innings and take care of the ball," Salt Lake manager Keith Johnson said.Jordan Shoes For Cheap "It’s just a matter of playing the game and not the score. You’ve got to get 27 outs."

Matt Shoemaker, Salt Lake’s starting pitcher Sunday, struggled from the beginning, allowing five hits in the opening inning, including a triple and a home run.

cheap jordan :Ute football: Freshman QB Travis Wilson making an impact [18 May 2012|03:07pm]

:Wilson capped an outstanding spring Saturday afternoon by completing 8 of 12 passes for 72 yardscheap jordan 13 shoes during the annual Red-White game at Rice-Eccles Stadium.

The Reds rallied behind the play of two other freshman quarterbacks, Chase Hansen and Adam Shulz, for a 22-21 victory.

As a sun-drenched crowd of 13,503 watched, however, Wilson showed the size, arm strength and poise that made Retro Jordan Shoeshim one of last year’s most sought-after prospects.

"He’s played well every single practice," said coach Kyle Whittingham. "All he does is come out and make plays. Jordans for cheapHis ability to digest the offense and get complete command of the offense [is] impressive."

According to Wilson, learning Utah’s system and becoming accustomed to the "speed and tempo" of college footbaljordans for salel has been his biggest challenge.

"… But it’s getting easier because of all the reps I’ve gotten in spring practice," he said. "It’s been a great learning experience — a lot of fun."

Wilson doesn’t turn 19 until December but has already grasped his position better than many players with far morejordan shoes for sale experience.

Said Whittingham: "The mental side of the game is huge for the quarterback — understanding the concepts and what all 11 [players] are doing every snap.

jordan shoes Kragthorpe: Detmer punched Hall of Fame ticket in one night vs. Miami [18 May 2012|03:00pm]

Thats when Detmer took down the Hurricanes, pretty much won himself a Heisman Trophy and, as of Mondays announcement, passed his way into the College Football Hall of Fame.

Detmer is proud of his consistency in college, which "kind ofcheap jordan 13 shoes shows you weren’t a one-hit wonder," as he told The Tribune, and 15,031 passing yards over four seasons endorse his body of work.

Yet if one snapshot ever could capture a quarterbacking performance, this is it: Detmer, a bandage covering a six-stitch cut in his chin, scrambling around and shredding the toughest, proudest, baddest defense in the country.

Actually, other quarterbacks around here have won a higher percentage of games than Detmer’s 29-9-2 record as a starter. In postseason play, he claimed only a Freedom Bowl win over Colorado as a freshman, having relieved Sean Covey in the second half.

Yet when it comes down to one night, one opponent, one opportunity to make a national impact,Jordans for cheap Detmer’s signature moment is bigger and better than anybody’s in Utah college football history — including the CougarsRetro Jordan Shoes who have preceded him in the Hall of Fame: quarterbacks Gifford Nielsen, Marc Wilson, Jim McMahon and Steve Young, tight end Gordon Hudson and coach LaVell Edwards. Utah quarterback Brian Johnson’s Sugar Bowl upset of Alabama is also in the conversation, but that was in New Orleans.

This was in Provo, the site of the most anticipated September game ever played in the state. Miami’s aura elevated this matchup beyond anything BYU has been involved in before or since, coming to town as the defending national champion with a preseason No. 1 ranking.

Detmer picked Miami apart in a 28-21 victory. Operating the Norm Chow offense with high efficiency, jordans for salethrowing mostly to running back Matt Bellini and tight end Chris Smith, Detmer completed 38 of 54 passes for 406 and three touchdowns. The Hurricanes didn’t know what hit them.

Detmer was the ultimate gunslinger. Interceptions did not faze him. His roommates teasingly labeled him "Turnover Ty" as a way of keeping him humble — which was not necessary, or especially effective. Playing with a Texan’s swagger, jordan shoes for sale he would just keep throwing, racking up huge numbers in the old version of the Western Athletic Conference and winning a bunch of games.

Cheap Jordan ShoesPatrick wanted to go with Stephen Curry, but Erik seconded my motion for Dorell Wr [17 May 2012|11:12am]

So if we move on to guys who just didn’t perform and start from the top: Russell Westbrook dropped almost a full round from 12 to 23, but Monta Ellis dropped even further, going from 16 to 43. Westbrook underperformed, but still ended up as a second round player, while Ellis just couldn’t find his groove after the fairly shocking tradeJordan Shoes For Cheap that sent him to Milwaukee. Maybe it was the cold weather, or maybe trying to co-exist on the court with Brandon Jennings was just too much to stomach. Either way, he still ended up only 27 spots below his average draft position and even though he played well alongside Stephen Curry in Goldenair jordan shoes State, I don’t think it’s right to fault him for something that he had no control over.

Strange how two of my top candidates are from the Warriors, because my selection for the actual Most Disappointing Fantasy Player is also from Golden State. Dorell Wright was drafted on average at #30, the middle of the third round, and ended up at 81, mid-seventh round. I was forced to tell people to keep hanging on to him week after week but things never got better. Wright managed a respectable 1.7 threes per game, but the rest of his game fell so far off the map that the Warriors were forced to cut his minutes from 38 to 27, and even that was overly generous.jordan shoes for sale

Patrick wanted to go with Stephen Curry, but Erik seconded my motion for Dorell Wright, and so he is the winner. Or loser, I guess.

Best Fantasy Sleeper: On the opposite end of the spectrum of Dorell Wright is Ryan Anderson (another kind of unanimous choice depending on whether you think he’s the Most Improved or Biggest Sleeper). Granted, much of his success is due to the fact that he plays with Dwight Howard, who can draw five to ten players at a time on any given play. When the defense looks like a Lebanese league game it’s not hard to make a lot of three-pointers, and Anderson did, averaging a league leading 2.7 threes per game. He also grabbed 7.7 rebounds per game, made 88% of his free throws, and with so much catching and shooting, he kept his turnovers below 1 per game. All of that adds up to a place at #7 finish on the Player Rater – a full 111 spots above his average draft position. No one else in the Top 10 can claim that Cheap Jordan Shoeskind of jump, and in the Top 50, only Ersan Ilyasova even comes close. He was nominated/mentioned by both Erik and Patrick as well, but since he ended up just barely in the Top 50, I think that Ryan Anderson deserves all the praise and glory. And he also deserves Erik’s question: Is he for real? Cheap JordansOr will he be next season’s Dorell Wright?

air jordan shoes -Get to the line. The Thunder got to the line more per FGA than any team in the lea [17 May 2012|11:05am]

-Run, run, run. The Lakers aren't a good transition team defensively, and OKC is very effective. Plus, the Lakers have just wrapped a long, intense series, and by Game 4 will have played a ton of games in a relatively short period. Run 'em, and test those Lakers legs. Even if it's not effective early, the Thunder could see benefits as the series goes on by wearing the Lakers down early.Jordan Shoes For Cheap

-Get to the line. The Thunder got to the line more per FGA than any team in the league this year. The Lakers were tops in keeping the opposition off the line, and did a great job of that against Denver. If OKC can crack that code, they'll have a leg up against L.A.'s defense.

air jordan shoes

-Pressure Gasol. Pau's value for the Lakers is more as a facilitator of the offense than a scorer (though they need that, for sure). When he's able to survey a defense, Pau can pick them apart, sometimes playing more a point guard's role than Sessions does. Crowd him, and force the ball from his hands.

jordan shoes for sale

Series prediction?

A: I hate to say it, but Thunder in 5. I actually think it will be more legitimately competitive than a typical five game set, with some close games in the mix. And if the Lakers play continuously at the top of their game, maybe they can make this legitimately interesting. Perhaps even shocking. But I just feel like the Lakers' margin for error is very small. At full strength, the Thunder have beaten up the Lakers. They've played like the better team all season, and I don't expect that to change.

B: Thunder in six.

Anything else you want to say.

A: I'd love to be inside the heads of Kobe and Derek Fisher during any scattered possessions matched up against each other. Talk about your twisted psychology!Cheap Jordan Shoes

B: This one could be a lot of fun, but in the end, L.A.'s margin for error is just too small to win. Too many things have to go right.

Nike Jordans I mean, the Big East vote is like any other member's vote [12 May 2012|10:59am]
"I mean, the Big East vote is like any other member's vote; it's the same," he said. "And you've got to be at the table where the Big East is at the table."
Marinatto left after less than three years on the job and a wave of departures by high-profile schools. Pittsburgh and Syracuse made plans to leave for the ACC in September, and West Virginia bolted for the Big 12 the following jordan 13

There has been speculation that plans by the BCS to eliminate automatic qualifier status for conferences could lead Boise State and San Diego State to reconsider joining the league. "There's an expectation market, and then there's the reality market," he said. air jordan shoes We know we can win and play hard. We proved in Game 1 we can come out and play hard [12 May 2012|10:53am]
"We don't think like that," Orlando forward Ryan Anderson said. "We know we can win and play hard. We proved in Game 1 we can come out and play hard and win."
Orlando surprised Indiana in Game 1, forced overtime in Game 4 and led heading into the final quarter of their season. cheap jordan

"We gave a tremendous effort," Anderson said. "We really battled. We played hard. Nobody can say we didn't. It's just tough."
Collison made a layup and hit a 3-pointer to give the Pacers a 78-73 lead with 9:33 to play. After Nelson drained another 3, Collison came back with a layup, then Leandro Barbosa's steal and layup pushed Indiana's lead to 87-80 with 6:49 to play and forced an Orlando timeout. A few minutes later, Paul George stole an inbounds pass and found Granger under the hoop for a layup and a 91-80 lead. The Pacers dominated from there. jordan retro shoes

Indiana led by as many as 15 points in the first half, but as was the case throughout the series, it didn't last. Orlando got hot late in the half, and a 3-pointer by Jason Richardson and a bucket by Davis cut Indiana's lead to 48-47. Indiana's Roy Hibbert made a hook shot to push the lead back to three at the break.
Orlando tied the game at 61 on a fadeaway by Davis before a three by Nelson gave Orlando a 66-64 lead. Nelson hit another three in the closing seconds — he had 15 points in the quarter — to give Orlando a 71-69 lead. Hill added nine points in the period to keep the Pacers in the game before Collison and Granger put it away. Now, Indiana wants more. Nike Jordans

"Huge step for our franchise," Vogel said. "We're not happy with just getting that, though. We feel like this is just the beginning of a big run. We're excited about where we're at as a basketball team." jordan shoes

Notes: The teams combined for just five turnovers in the first quarter. ... Indiana shot 50 percent in the first 12 minutes. ... Orlando made just 1 of 7 3-pointers in the first period. ... Collison's first turnover of the series came in the closing seconds of the third quarter. He finished the series with 23 retro jordans
assists and one turnover in the series. ... Orlando outscored Indiana 24-19 in the third quarter. Indiana had outscored the Magic 108-60 combined in the third quarter of the previous four games.

Jordan Shoes For Cheap History was witnessed tonight, [12 May 2012|10:36am]
"History was witnessed tonight," Washington said.
"It's like anything else — you do something good or something incredible happens, it takes a little bit for it to sink in," Hamilton said. "I think when I get away from everybody and I have some time to myself, I think it might then." Cheap Jordan Shoes

Hamilton is the sixth AL player to perform the feat. The last to hit four homers in a game against the Orioles was Rocky Colavito in 1959, at old Memorial Stadium. Cheap Jordan Shoes

"He's the best athlete in baseball," teammate Nelson Cruz said of Hamilton. "If anybody can do it, he can do it."
Elvis Andrus got on base ahead of Hamilton in each instance, said, "He kept hitting bombs and bombs. It feels really good because I don't have to run that hard to score." jordan shoes for sale

Hamilton, who is in the final year of his contract and could become a free agent after this season, leads the AL with 14 homers and 36 RBIs, and his 5-for-5 effort raised his batting average to .406. air jordan shoes

He also set the Texas single-game club record with five extra-base hits, breaking the mark of four held by eight players. Hamilton has homered in five of his last six at-bats, counting his final trip to the plate Monday night. Jordan Shoes For Cheap

Hamilton's record-setting night is the latest accomplishment in a career that almost never was.
He went from first round draft pick in 1999 by Tampa Bay to out of baseball all together because of drug and alcohol addiction.

Nike Jordans Bruins’ Brad Marchand gets 5-game suspension for Salo hit; agree or disagree? [09 May 2012|01:38pm]
Very interesting piece on Bruce Boudreau of the Anaheim Ducks, in which he talks about the end of his days with the Washington Capitals and his decision to let others influence his style: "I don't know why I got away from it, because everything I had done was right — or it worked." [Washington Post]

Congrats, Bogdan Rudenko. [Observer]

? An incendiary column by BD Gallof on the New York Islanders and Rick DiPietro, looking at the possible amnesty clause in the next CBA and the end of that albatross of a contract: "The fact is if you are the Islanders, focused on turning the corner and still saving some cash, you simply cannot ignore a gift like a possible clearing of a player from the books without a penalty. DiPietro has a high probability to be that one contract discarded if amnesty is part of the new league equation." ? By the numbers, this might be the worst Buffalo Sabres team in the last decade. "This year's squad keeps saying it will be better when healthy. There's no talk of building for the future. If they don't, the question of the worst team in a decade becomes a no-brainer." [Buffalo News]

? Kevin Smith on hockey fighting in today's NHL: "I like fighting as much as the next guy, but Jesus Christ, how many people have to die? Look, man, when one of the greatest hockey players living isn't playing because he's concussed, then something's seriously f—ked." [Toronto Star]

Getty ImagesTrending Topics is a column that looks at the week in hockey, occasionally according to Twitter. If you're only going to comment to say how stupid Twitter is, why not just go have a good cry for the slow, sad death of your dear internet instead?

Buffalo Sabres fans aren't happy, and understandably so.
jordans for sale

The last time their team won a game away from home, most people were still putting up their Christmas trees, and they've taken just 14 points from 22 games since the start of December. They're conceding goals like their lives depend upon it (19 in the last four games) and have had no luck at all finding someone not named Thomas Vanek or Jason Pominville to put the puck in the back of the net.
jordan shoes for sale

They're a Hindenburg-level disaster this season, after the organization and fans spent a whole summer fixated on what they were duped into believing would be a earnest, deep run into the Stanley Cup playoffs. The excitement built around that team, which was good but not great the last two seasons, and flamed out in the first round of both of those playoffs, was really quite something.

So to see them sitting 11th in the East, just three points ahead of dead last, has all involved crushingly disappointed.

People have blamed the players, blamed the coach, blamed the general manager. All of that is relatively fair. But one person who has seemed bulletproof in all this, even as he did everything in his power to become a face of the franchise and win over a bemused fanbase, is Terry Pegula.

? Tapeleg on the Alex Ovechkin All-Star game pull out: The problem is that the All-Star game is looking less and less star-studded right now. There are more players bowing out and injured every day, and losing a player like Ovechkin certainly damages the luster of the game. But the All-Star game is nothing more than a commercial for the league. A poorly produced one at that. They need the stars to show up to make it a commercial worth watching. [Jerseys and Hockey Love]
