[Random] Lappy and Icons
1. Lappy practically snapped in half the other night. This little piece of plastic on the hinge broke off and less than 2 hours later, a lot more pieces were falling off and the screen was only held to the base by one damaged hinge. I have no idea WTF happened. It gets heavy use, yes, but I've never had THIS happen with a laptop before. So, I don't know if it's because Dell's design is shoddy or what. But this is the third time it's had to be sent back to Dell for repair and it's only 10 months old. I could have taken it in earlier; the battery has stopped charging and the clicker on the thumbpad is a little wonky, but those things I can deal with. Having a laptop crack into two pieces? Not so much.
The chick at the Geek Squad (who was a royal bitch and I was moments away from snapping at her for her patronizing attitude) said it should take around two weeks before I get it back. In my experience, it's been more like four. Honestly, I'm hoping they just send me a new one because JESUS H. CHRIST THIS LAPTOP, MAN.
So, this means I won't be as readily available over the next few weeks. The only computer I have now is the old desktop which I loathe for its slowness and tendency to crash. It's better than nothing, though.
2. Yes, I did save all of the icons from robins, like I did for musicaal. The file is over a 1GB large. WinRAR is currently running in the background and making archives for each PB. Once this is finished, I'll create a Mediafire folder and upload them there. I'll post a link to the Mediafire folder when I start uploading. I think I'm also going to go back and make archives for each PB from musicaal as well since that file is huge, too.
3. I'm so fucking tired, man. I've been go-go-go today since 10am which is a lot more than I'm used to doing since I became functional again. I think I might try to catch up on some reading over the next few weeks. Oh, and I got a pair of jeans from Aeropostale today for $8.50 and my jaw all but hit the counter when the chick told me that total. But my pair of jeans that died last weekend via chicken wire have been replaced and for a lot cheaper than I thought they would be. \o/
P.S. My typo percentage is going to increase while my lappy is gone. I'm used to the touch keyboard not this click-clacker.
