Physical Description: Sasha, like the rest of the men in his family, is incredibly tall topping off at 6'6. Despite his gargantuan height, he has a certain grace that he certainly didn't inherit from his father. He's got quite an intimidating build with wide shoulders and a broad chest. His muscles have developed quite a bit since he started playing quidditch, only making him all the more scary when boys bother his sister.

He dresses casually, wearing t-shirts, baggy pants, converse sneakers, and a watch. He is never caught without his watch and his cross and pentagram necklace, he has always worn it out of supersition. His formal wear is always of a higher quality and quite expensive... what? Alexandra McQueen makes a nice men's blazer!

Unknown to his father, Sasha drunkenly got a tattoo of theTree of Gondor. He says you're a bigger dork if you know what it is.

Detailed personality:
Sasha is usually a gentle giant with a shy streak but if he thinks someone in his family is getting hurt in any way... he looses his temper. It's like poking a bear with a stick really. He has a temper and a violent streak that only comes out when he feels his family is threatened. He is impulsive specifically when it comes to these threats and is not afraid to lash out at people.

He is completely loyal to his friends and family, there is not a question about that. He is quiet but he will talk to nearly anyone, it doesn't always mean it will be a quaint conversation though. Although he looks like a bad ass and has a totally bad reputation he is charismatic, sweet, and gentle. Sasha is incredibly smart and takes his school work very seriously. He is focused and driven to do well. He finds comfort in music and is often quite a peaceful boy. He is quiet and thoughtful, sometimes it comes off as broody but that is not really the case. The boy's smile is brilliant, his laugh is contagious.

A lot of other kids find him intimidating and never really give him a chance. They don't see the non-raging side of Sasha. He is considered a weirdo and an outcast as it seems he has it out for almost the entire student body. This doesn't bother him much because he has his family and his close friends.

Personal History
Sasha was born the second and middle child of Ksenyia and Yevgeni Starikov. He and his siblings are very close in age but couldn't be anymore different in personality. His older brother Abram is athletic and popular while his little sister Katya is more reserved and bookish. He loves them both and gets along with them in his own way but with Katya, he's particularly protective even since they were kids. They grew up in a somewhat peaceful home, their father Yev, a scholar and their mother Ksenyia, a Russian ballerina, would have their spats about the proper way to raise the children. Yev came from a long line of proud wizards and Ksenyia was a muggle, she had known about Yev's powers from the beginning but had been hoping that it wouldn't pass on to their children.

Over time it became clear that all three children had inherited their father's magical lineage, they had all shown their magical talents very early in life and it was that magical talent that had been the last straw. She began cheating on Yev with another man, when Yev found out he was angry and devastated and asked for a divorce. He wanted to have an agreement where they would have shared custody of the children but Ksenyia had other plans. In the middle of the night when she was sure Yev and the children were asleep, she signed the divorce papers, packed her bag, and tried to leave the house undetected so she would never have to see any of them again. She was wrong though, Sasha was still awake, suffering from a nightmare about his mother leaving. He had crawled out of bed and saw her in the hallway. He asked her where she was going. She pet him on the head and sent him back to bed saying she was going some place better.

Sasha was only five years old when he watched his mother walk out on them. He, nor his brother, sister, or father, ever saw her again. It had been devastating for the family to deal with her leaving them all. Yev could deal with loosing her for himself but the children was something else; they deserved a mother who would love them no matter what. Heart broken, the family tried to move on but it was hard. They made little steps, every summer when Yev was on vacation, he would take all three kids hiking. He brought them everywhere, anywhere they wanted and they reveled in their summer vacations. It was a chance to get to see the world and explore new places, try to erase the scars of the past. Yev gave piano lessons to Sasha as their own bonding time. It gave Yev a chance to really get to know his quietest child, the one he worried about most.

When Sasha was ten years old, his father was offered a position at Blue Ridge University in the COMC department as a professor and researcher. Yev moved the family and it was just in time for the boys to go to school. Sasha had the hardest time adjusting to Georgia, he had to speak English all the time and though he was good with language, he missed the sound of Russian, he missed the culture and even the climate. Blue Ridge was a huge change but he got used to it soon enough. Mostly due to the fact that he befriended a mysterious blue haired girl who he fell head over heels for. She was his first friend at Blue Ridge, someone who didn't make him feel totally alien (though she did get him pretty flustered from time to time). He joined a few clubs and started making a few friends but there was something that Sasha could never really let go; his protective nature over his little sister. Every time he saw someone giving Katya a hard time or even if she looked uncomfortable, he would beat the kid up who was responsible for it.

This behavior had him labeled as trouble from the start and his reputation grew. He started getting into fights over the stupidest shit. He let go of a lot of aggression this way by just pummeling other students who were willing to fight and for once he didn't feel as frustrated with himself and his inability to do anything. He has spent more than than any other Quirank student in detention for one thing or another. He can't seem to stop himself from getting into fights despite his hate for spending almost every night in detention. He spent more time doing community service than he did anything else as that was a part of his deal with the previous headmaster. Though he finished his hours a few months ago there's something about community service that makes him feel good so he still volunteers on the weekends when he has time.

Try as he might, he can't seem to reign in his own aggression and continues to get into trouble with fighting. He's been trying his best to avoid it but there are certain kids that know just how to push his buttons and get him going. Quidditch has helped him get into less fights but it's still an issue.
