Been AWOL, but I have an excuse.
Work on the game is continuing slowly. I'd wanted to start accepting apps by the first, but I decided that trying to meet that deadline would require too many compromises. Besides, I know from experience that the demands of running the game will make adding information after the start all but impossible. Better to have the groundwork laid out now, even if it means pushing back the launch. In my quest for verisilimitude I've also been quietly running different aspects of the world setting past different people. Even though the premise is pure rubber science, I'd like for things to feel somewhat realistic. Still, despite my best efforts I know that there are going to be weak points in my Alt-History, and this bugs me no end.
At the moment I have my apps written up, and I'm making sample characters to test them out. I've come up with an interesting system for controlling the abilities of the psionic characters, one that'll (hopefully) head off the issues one encounters with such powers in a free-form RP setting.
I'll continue this another time. Feeling a bit more tired than I realized.
