First strike

[She'd written this all out on IMMIC stationary, folded and addressed the letters to their recipients -- and then she'd thrown the whole thing in the trash, because she'd already been told off once for not being 'personal' enough when it came to working with other facilities. It was no secret that St. Mungo wasn't a fan of the department 'lackey' milling around, and even if she couldn't pretend that she didn't hear them calling her that, she still had to try to do so.]

[ Visible to Rebecca Abercrombie and Nona Pepper ] Hello there -- my name is <strike>Agent</strike> Siobhan Kennedy.

If you're receiving this message, you've been working toward the cure for <strike>the upcoming pandemic</strike> the V2 virus! First of all, congratulations <strike>on not being completely useless at your jobs</strike>!

Second of all, I'd like to get together with you both as soon as possible to discuss your research and compile it with <strike>mine</strike> the IMMIC's gathered data! [ /Visible to Rebecca Abercrombie and Nona Pepper ]

A friendly reminder from me, as a <strike>junior</strike> member of the IMMIC to continue to comply with quarantine regulation! These precautions are in place for YOUR safety.

New Journal

P R O P E R T Y &nbsp O F

S I O B H A N &nbsp K E N N E D Y

A B O U T

You know that girl who's a complete wreck in her school years? Awkward, gangly, and all around sort of -- eccentric? That was Siobhan. Her time at Hogwarts (Hufflepuff, 1967-1974) was something she wanted to put behind her as soon as possible, but that just didn't seem like something that was likely sticking around England or even Ireland. Being raised by a stern German father had afforded her the luxury of knowing the language, so at the first sign that she'd be able to survive in that country, she hopped a floo and all but disappeared off the social map. Siobhan quickly learned that there were a few things she was very good at: understanding convoluted regulations, and observing a situation for just long enough to know exactly what was going on so that she could take charge of it. After a good amount of time doing grunt-work as an intern with the International Ministry for Magical Infection Control (IMMIC) and countless hours working with what her father cheerfully called a 'personality therapist' (thanks, der Vater), Siobhan found herself moving up in the ranks. She's currently in a trial position as a Junior Control Agent, and her success in the Ministry hinges on the successful completion of a number of projects including one she's been recently sent (grudgingly) back to the 'popular' Wizarding world to tend to. While she's eager to show off to her former classmates just how much she's changed, she's more than a little jittery about seeing the people she tried to leave behind again when she's not 100% as confident in herself as she appears.

[Aland] Is this the way things are going to be?

Just so I'm aware. [/Aland]

[Erin] The lab is clean. Impeccably so. And there are protective charms around the contamination in triplicate. [/Erin]

Work, work, work. Most people dislike it, but I find it rather calming.

Things are looking up.

It seems to me that as the number of ill ministry workers increases, the mess I have to deal with each day goes down substantially. That doesn't mean I don't want people to get better, of course.
