IT'S OVER! DONE WITH! God, I feel great! You don't think this day will ever come, but it does and wow. I mean, I still have to wait until we get our results and I know I'll be stalking the mailbox until we do, but I am calm and I am relaxed and I'm going to try my very best to enjoy my last summer before uni.

Anyway, I thought it'd be a bit of fun to do a little superlatives thing before the year was over. I've started a poll with some of the more standard superlatives, but if you want to suggest something else, please comment and I'll add it to another poll in a few days. You can vote for any of the 11th, 12th or 13th years. Just remember not to vote for yourself!

Hello dodgeballers!

You've all heard about the dodgeball match we have coming up against Gryffindor and Hufflepuff! To ensure that we win, Nikolas and I have come up with a few modifications to your diet and exercise schedule so everyone will be in the best shape they can be by next week!

First, I spoke with the school cooks and worked with them to create high protein, low fat, low sugar and low sodium meals that will be served exclusively to Ravenclaw and Slytherin. It's very important that we all stick to it as faithfully as possible. Come next weekend, the Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs will be kicking themselves for consuming all sorts of processed foods and refined sugars. They're terrible for the cardiovascular system.

Second, starting Sunday morning, everyone is expected to be outside the entrance to the fields by 4:30 AM every morning. We will start with a half hour warm-up session, a one hour run followed by 30 minutes of yoga to cool down and relax your muscles. It's strongly encouraged that you wear loose, comfortable clothing that is suitable for training. Believe me, it gets really hot after awhile.

Finally, we've booked the gymnasium for practise sessions. You should find a list of the times posted on your house bulletin board.

Thanks for reading! I look forward to seeing you all on Sunday morning!

I'm not going to claim that dodgeball is a completely safe, harmless sport. With any sport, there is a chance that someone will suffer a minor or a serious injury. I did some research and found an article in a medical journal from earlier this year that examined the percentage of hospital visits from sports Injuries. Dodgeball, along with 6 other recreational sports, fell under the category of "other sports" and accounted for only 4.3% of injuries sustained in children and young adults aged 5-24. Which means dodgeball accounted for even less of that.

Further, many skills are used during dodgeball, including quick movements, quick change of direction, throwing, catching and aiming. It even challenges several major muscle groups and all that running is really good for the cardiovascular system. Plus it's really fun! It's a game anyone can play and it promotes team work and that's exactly what we want!

Fact time! Apart from humans, the only land animal that cries is the elephant.
