that's totally fine! i was just curious because i would be interested in setting up something there :-) what are the paid account features, if you don't mind further inquiries? specifically, my question is do you get more invite codes that you can pass out to your friends or do you have to pay for every individual journal?

Unfortunately because of the new code base many of the old S1 style themes won't work. Only S2 works on SJ and since it's an entirely new code-base themes had to be redone, so as you can see at this time there's only like 6-7 themes. If you have any additional SJ questions just post em up over there and I'll be glad to assist you!
