Bio:

My name is Rogue...I'm originally from Mississippi. I'm involved in a lil' group of folks called the X-Men. You don't really wanna touch my skin unless you're feeling plucky (i.e. you feel like spending a couple of weeks in a coma).
[OOC: Rogue is based on the comics, not the movies. Personality is heavily smudged by the cartoon (90's).]

Rogue was born in Caldecott County, Mississippi, to parents, Owen and Priscilla (both deceased). They lived in a commune and things were fairly "normal". She also had an aunt, Carrie. After her mother died, Rogue's relationship with her father worsened, and much of the care was taken over by her aunt. She had a rebellious nature and that didn't help her relationship with her aunt or with the town.
Rogue had one good friend (Cody Robbins) and one night he gave Rogue her first kiss. Her powers activated and absorbed she his life-force and memories, leaving him in a coma for 3 weeks. He eventually died (years later).

After she left home, she was discovered and adopted by Mystique/Raven Darkholme (Brotherhood of Mutants) and Destiny/Irene Adler (deceased). She has an adoptive brother, Kurt/Nightcrawler (X-Men). Her (sort-of/technically/depending on the P.O.V.) stepfathers have included Victor Creed/Sabertooth and Azazel (Kurt's father). She also had an adoptive brother Graydon Creed (deceased).

Rogue turned away from the Brotherhood of Mutants and Mystique, and towards the X-Men, after repeated uses of her powers and finally, the absorption of Ms. Marvel's psyche and Kree powers. Ms. Marvel's psyche threatened to take over Rogue's mind and she received help from Professor Charles Xavier. She still has a difficult time keeping the different personalities in her mind contained and controlled.

She eventually earned the respect and trust of the X-Men and became a valued team member. She now considers them to be her family.

PERSONAL:
She's a Southern Belle at heart, and is ALWAYS seen wearing a pair of gloves. This is a little peculiar, as she likes shorter shorts and old shirts tied at the waist. If she's going to be in a heavily populated area, she'll conceal her skin responsibly, but she prefers to run around feeling as much air as she can. She teaches mechanics at Xavier's Institute and loves working on engines, restoring motorcycles and cars, horseback riding, playing her guitar (poorly...she wasn't born to be a musician), and baking.

Her relationship with her mother is...complicated.

ABILITIES:
Rogue absorbs a mutant's abilities, memories, emotions, and psyche through touch. The longer she holds on, the longer she keeps the powers (60x the exposure time) , and the worse the damage to whomever she is touching. If she touches someone long enough, they can die, and their powers can remain with her permanently. In the case of normal humans, her touch hurts them, renders them unconscious, and can kill them.
If she absorbs too much from anyone, their psyche can threaten to take over her mind.

She is not affected by many poisons and can survive outside Earth's atmosphere for a limited amount of time.

She absorbed Ms. Marvel's powers of flying, stamina, durability, and super-strength permanently.

...Note: Due to all of the people she has absorbed into her mind, telepathy does cause her 'pain'. It's not enough to incapacitate her, but it will cause discomfort. It's not something she likes to advertise, however.
Also, she can draw on other abilities she has previously 'drained' by releasing the personality that is trapped in her mind. This is difficult for her, however, and she has a hard time controlling the personality and returning them afterward. This does not apply to all verses.

PHYSICAL: 5'8" 120 lbs Dark auburn hair with a white stripe, green eyes.
