1. How about a brief introduction?
Liz. 20. Sagittarius. English major. Does not like long walks on the beach (too much sand) or getting caught in the rain (wet wet ugh). Spends too much time on the computer. Actually should be reading Kate Chopin's The Awakening right now. Sigh.

2. What got you into role playing?
Um. All the other cool kids at JediGirl were doing it? Man, I was lame back then. But I had a few characters I actually liked. One from the ROTK RP in particular, although that didn't last too long. I just remember her name was Synne and she was my first real cranky bitch character.

3. What kind of games do you tend to be drawn to?
Whatever sounds interesting, I guess. It helps if there are people I know playing. I like the whole reincarnation thing. I find I kind of suck at fandom games now because I'm no good at playing other people's characters! But I try, anyway.

4. Which character of yours tends to be the favorite of others who play with you, and why do you think this is?
I rewrote the question because the other one was so badly worded. Anyway. People really seem to like Dot, which pleases me, since she's rather a favorite of mine. I think it's because she's right on the line between pathetic and pitiful. Sometimes I genuinely feel bad for her, and sometimes I just want to smack her around a little because she's acting like a baby. I don't know that I try to make her sympathetic, but I think she ends up coming off that way, and I guess some people like that. I'm not sure how well I pull off the witty aspect, but you guys are a better judge of that than I am.

5. What post/thread are you most proud of?
I really liked that one with Dot and Evelyn and the fight and the kissing. "Long Time, No See," I think it was called.

6. Do you find writing easy? Hard? What aspects do you struggle with?
I think it's difficult sometimes. I try so hard to convey certain things in my writing. Show, don't tell - that kind of thing. I'm really moody, too, which sucks, because that affects how and what I write. I struggle a lot with consistency of character - I find it hard to separate myself from the character, which is why mine tend to be too cutesy and less independent of my own personality.

7. Do you tend to use the same PB again and again? Is the character different each time, or the same one tweaked slightly to for each game?
I've used Natalya Piro a couple of times, but it's only because she's the cutest redhead EVER.

8. Write a few sentences on your favourite muse or pairing.
I kind of talked about Dot earlier, so...

9. Do you have any big pet peeves when it comes to RP?
I like the scenes to have some sort of meaning. I really don't like one-off scenes. I find them to be a waste of time and counter-productive to characterization. I like developing relationships in scenes, and it's kind of hard to do so when the characters have no reason to be put into a situation together. I also don't like it when someone asks me to scene and they have nothing in mind. You asked me, pal. :/

10. Are you guilty of any of the pet peeves you hate?
I hope not. I try really hard to be courteous and not waste any of your time. If I ever am annoying you, please tell me to fuck off.

11. What was the first game you joined? Fandom, Original, or Celeb?
Fandom, I think. I used to be a huge LOTR RP dork.

12. Name your favourite muse and what it is about them that you love to write.
Redundant meme is redundant. I guess I'd say that what I love about Dot is the fact that she tries so hard to conceal her vulnerability. She really is a little girl in high heels. She's mean and bitchy because she figures she needs to judge people before they can judge her, so she maintains the power in any relationship. She's scared of real relationships because she's scared about letting her guard down. She falls for people so easily but she finds herself hiding her true feelings to keep from getting hurt, which is not unlike many women. She's young and scared and kind of alone in the world, and I feel like I can kind of relate to some of her problems, which helps a lot in writing her.

13. What would you call your writing style?
I suppose I would characterize it as organized, linear, very continuous. I try to make sure I'm not contradicting things I've said in another part of a scene or story, at least in descriptive prose. When it comes to dialogue and characters? I like characters that I can relate to or find a little bit of myself, which is probably a sign of weakness and shows how lame I am because I can't separate myself from my characters, but that's generally how I design my characters. People always say to write what you know, so... I write what I know so I don't look like an ignorant jackass.

14. Do you have a set group of people you tend to RP with? If so, what is it about them that makes you stick around?
Obviously! I think you guys are the cat's pajamas, seriously. I'm so glad I have you all to bounce ideas off of and be awesome and creative with. You're all really good friends and very talented writers. ♥

15. Name one thing/character you'd love to write/pick up but have been too afraid or shy to do.
I want to stop sucking at writing boys! Any kind of boy I write, they all sound too girly. Ugh.

16. Do you feel uncomfortable taking criticism? Or worse, do you have the dreaded bloated ego?
My ego needs to be stroked once in a while because I lack confidence in all things I do because... well, I don't know why. I should probably speak to a therapist about this issue. Anyway. No, I actually like constructive criticism, because there's no way to become a better writer without understanding what you could be improving on! I just don't like to be told that I suck and there's no hope for me because that kind of thing makes me cry myself to sleep at night.

17. When you write, is there anything that helps?
I kind of have to sit there and think, "Okay, what would this person do in this situation?" It's kind of hard because I try to be true to their personalities, but I think that's a bit of a fault of mine because the whole profile thing kind of restricts me and makes me worry that I'm not doing it right. Music is okay sometimes, but I tend to get distracted. Basically, I agree with Lena - it's nice to know I have time to sit there and think about it before I write it.

18. What inspires you?
You guys! You're all amazing and imaginative individuals and I love to read your work. Also, music, film, television... sometimes I'll make up little scenes in my head from those kinds of things and tweak them to suit my purpose.

19. Lastly, how would you sum up your RP experiences and you as a writer?
It's kind of amazing to see how far I've come in the year I've been playing at Pierian Springs. It's really interesting to see some of the things I've been capable of, and I think roleplaying has really helped me. As a writer, I know there's always room for improvement, but what I'm doing now is certainly nothing I can turn my nose up at, which is nice. (... I think.)
