They'd never gotten back together, not that way; but they'd seen nations rise and fall together. They'd seen humanity reaching the stars become commonplace. They'd seen friends and family grow old, seen the children grow old, and their children as well. Time and time again.

They never looked their age, or even a fraction of it... but time tires everyone. (Except Franklin and Galactus.)

It took the better part of a decade of preparation, hardly a twinkle in the eye to them, but long enough. Wrapping up legal affairs. Doling out belongings. Tracking down and integrating 'copies'.

Eventually, they sat down, watching the sun set over what was once Latveria.

"I still remember when I gave all this to Kristoff... I told him he had one mission. To build the perfect nation."

"I know. It was a good day." She pauses. "I'm afraid. I am not changing my mind... but I'm still afraid."

"I know." Vincent squeezed Andrea's hand. "I've met all kinds of dead... seen all kinds of ways for people to come back.. but there's still no real knowing."

"You don't have any regrets? That you have to go with me?" She bit her lip, pushing the hair from her face as a breeze pushed it askew. She refused to take her gaze away from the horizon.

"None." He closed his eyes. "Let's go exploring again."

She let out a breath, as the last light went over the mountains. "Andrea Rider... END PROGRAM.."

As if the spell going wrong wasn't bad enough, he'd let himself panic and flee to a 'safe place' via one of his contingency spells. He picks up one cookie, and instructs her to do the same. "Normally your dad would teach you this, but he doesn't like junk food. But because we love him, we keep him anyway, and your favorite uncle will always step up to do the stuff that makes your father's back go all stiff.

Now, hold the cookie, that's right... and twist like this.
Vincent von Doom, just as when he had been Vincent Amorason, the name he had reassumed since leaving Latveria, had never been much of an early riser. He loved the simple material comforts of pillows, sheets, and blankets, and would remain in bed for a good few hours after waking. Reading or another activity would usually occupy him. Today, however, things would be different.

Waking up before Kristoff was no simple task. His brother was one of the most industrious people he knew. However, Vincent had been able to make the observation that after any evening Kristoff spent with that Cassandra girl, he was usually a bit more tired the next day.

And so, Vincent decided to cook breakfast in bed for his brother. He was still too short to reach several of the necessary kitchen appliances, but magic and moving furniture about had done well enough. The one brief incident with the smoke alarm had been silenced immediately as well.

"Phral?" Vincent leans his forehead, as his hands were full with a serving tray, against the intercom button outside Kristoff's door. "Time to wake up. I have a surprise for you!"

Victor von Doom came to attention as the portal opened in his throne room. Those Doombots which possessed magic detectors readied their offensive systems.

"Stand down." He issues a command as he recognizes the arriving figure. The Enchantress. Her arrival was not expected, but it was not outside the realm of his preparations.

"Victor, darling, you look well. Have you been getting more sun?" Amora states breezily, although her form flickers faintly.

"Dispense with the illusions, Enchantress. Reveal yourself."

Her image nods, and then fades away, revealing her indeed to be in the same location, but holding a sleeping infant wrapped in swaddling cloth. "We should have words."

His eyes shift behind the mask, and he disables the recording devices in the room, standing, his very posture demanding an explanation.

"Our tryst was not unsatisfying, Victor... this is the result." She strokes her fingers over the infant's cheek, before her gaze stiffens again and returns to Doom. "You will care for him."

Doom slowly advances across the room to her, examining the infant, whose eyes open, as it coos softly. He is silent for a long few moments, before gently laying a gauntlet against the child's head delicately. "He has my mother's eyes." After receiving a nod from her, he takes the child. "To what end do you surrender him to me?"

"Those are my reasons, Doom. Raise him well. I will be watching." She leans down and kisses the baby's forehead softly. "Be well, and grow powerful, my sweet Vincent." She rises, gives Doom one final stare, then leaves.

For a few long minutes, the room is silent, punctuated only by a few gurgling sounds by the baby before it falls asleep.

"Kristoff," Doom intoned over the castle's communication systems.
Kristoff was an excellent teacher, that much was obvious, but Vincent was still slightly nervous about their first practical lesson together. It was a simple enough energy transmission array, that would recharge batteries for small devices from across a room. Vincent found the designs to be wonderfully composed, and greatly enjoyed fabricating the components. Now came the actual assembly, and ultimately, the activation.

Vincent would ask where a tool he needed was, and Kristoff would either tell him where in the lab to find it, or in one or two cases, add on "--if you feel that is the best one for the task." In those cases, Vincent re-examined his work, and requested a different tool, as if the first request never happened. Two hours went by, and eventually the array was complete. Now was when the child's nerves began to tighten, as Kristoff gave him permission to turn it on.

He reached for the switch, placing his fingers on it as he watched the receiver at the other end of the lab, then flipped it.

Nothing happened.

He flipped it back and forth again, with the same lack of result, seeming worried.

Vincent couldn't help it.
"Art thou lost?" Vincent crouched down, which scarcely made him any shorter than he already was. He'd decided to go see Moira and Danielle by a different route than usual. Mother was busy talking about magic he apparently wasn't ready for yet, with some girl who laughed like a magpie, so he was able to slip out more easily than usual.

The girl, sniffling and hiding her face behind a mop of sandy hair, shook her head. Vincent had found her at the base of a small outcropping, having managed to get down it with a minor feather charm. "Don't cry. I art going to see my friends. Thou shalt join me." He grins at her, offering a tiny hand.

"Nobody... nobody talks to me.." The girl said, her voice little more than a whisper as she wiped her eyes, reaching for his hand, then shaking her head again and standing up, keeping her hand to herself.

Vincent furrowed his brow and pursed his lips. "I know... other children art most foolish. He smiled at her and waved for her to follow him. Slowly, she did. "I... I art Sigrid."

~~

"Lady Rahne! You desire everything."

Vincent's face curled in displeasure. The tome, whatever lurked at its core which animated it so, was testing him. He would not turn away. "Explain."

"Such a greedy little boy. You desire all that is encompassed by the World Tree. To see and experience all that the Nine Worlds have to offer. To desire everything is to desire to own everything. You would deny that such tyranny is evil?"

Vincent stood his ground, in spite of how familiar the words felt. In spite of how they stirred the most insidious of his recurring fears. Then he spoke.

"To desire everything... is to desire to protect everything. That is enough for one such as I. I end this conversation. My third and final question will wait." This tome was proving more trouble that it was worth. Oracles such as this were known to have leeway with how they could answer, but to be as obtuse as it had been so far with the final question was unheard of. Reflection was in order, to construct the proper wording for the inquiry.

"That is enough for Vincent, unwilling son of an unwanted father and unwanted son of an unwilling mother? You are surprising, enchanter." The voice faded as the tome swung shut again, the oracle's final jab even after Vincent had 'ended' the conversation still falling within expected leeway.

Vincent was quiet again, as he picked up the book and properly secured it, only releasing the breath he unknowingly held once he felt the soft thud as it touched the back wall of the bookshelf.

"I am Vincent... and that is enough."

Had some corner of the Nine Worlds trembled in fear or sighed in relief at those words, for none can say if any did, it would have done so rightfully.

"You stay away from Valeria!" Vincent proclaimed, hands already glowing with energy.

"What he said!" Franklin added as well, in rare agreement with Vincent for once.

"But, but I--" Young MacKenzie Rider feebly tried to explain, hugging the basketball to him. Valeria had told him she'd built a flying hoop.

"We know what you're up to!" Franklin insisted, stomping forward. "You're here to steal away my sister like his royal fishy-smell wanted to steal away my mom!"

"You cannot pass!" Vincent spread his legs and raised an actual wall of force between MacKenzie and the front door, moments before he and Franklin were each hefted by orange rocky hands engulfing their heads, adolescent bodies flailing in mid-air.

"Kid, go ahead 'n' go play. I'll find somethin' fer these yutzes t' do." Petunia Grimm's favorite nephew shook his head and rolled his eyes.

MacKenzie smiled and nodded as the wall dissipated, running off into the building.

"Now, we're hittin' the skee-ball out at Coney Island. Any complaints from the peanut gallery?" Grimm put the boys down.

"No Uncle Ben..." Franklin huffed, folding his arms.

Vincent gestured much the same, along with turning his head and refusing to comment.

"I thought so. C'mon." He pats the boys on the back and ushers them out the door.

Taking the name was such a little thing. A trifle really, to smooth over some of the formalities. He'd outgrown the fear and childish rage. There was no joy in taking the throne, but it was what needed to be done.

He seated himself, then turned to address the assembled collective of administrators and honored guests.

"Kristoff Vernard, step forward."

His brother's footsteps echo through the hall, no-one else daring to speak.

Vincent's gaze rests upon him. "I am Vincent von Doom, son of Victor and Amora, and I am Monarch of Latveria. Kristoff Vernard, you have one mission, which I task you with for the rest of your days, and will grant you all you desire in pursuit of it.

You are to build the perfect nation."

AU - A Boy Of Wolves

How does a child live with wolves?

With no claws or fangs to speak of, with a nose and ears that are hardly more than lumps of flesh, and eyes that are humbled by the dark, how does a child learn to hunt alongside wolves?

How does a child who knows only how to go on two legs, in a terrain that belongs to those on four, how does a child learn to run with wolves?

By learning.

By listening.

By thinking.

Between his physical disadvantages, his lack of instincts, and to say nothing of his 'late start', it would have been no surprise to anyone if Vincent had been unable to truly embrace his new life with Lord Hrimhari's pack. Vincent had much to prove however, even if only to himself. He stuck close to other members of the pack at all times, but gradually started keeping more distance between them on hunts, even though he did not go alone. He found flint and hardwood and fashioned himself knives to protect himself. He watched where scents were left, as the wolves smelled them, and from that he learned to identify tracks.

He learned to wrap his feet and hands in hide, rather than wear boots, to give him protection and still move more freely when he needed to climb or crawl. He went through a great deal of Danielle's medicinal salve in the process of becoming acclimated to that in particular, and the worst parts of winter still necessitated protecting himself more heavily.

He steeled himself against getting blood on his hands. He learned how to kill cleanly, and to appreciate his prey. Whatever he killed, he would eat or use himself, or see to it that others did. Hunting for sport was simply not done.

On the ground, he was outclassed, and no amount of practice or strengthening of his thews would overcome the divide between him and the pack. So he found the trees. Prey would not escape by taking flight or climbing away. Vincent would pursue, or he would already be waiting for it. Where he once could only help by beating the bushes or making noise to drive prey to ambush, now he would be the ambush.

The night eventually came, as it did for all members of the pack, where they were tasked to hunt alone. To bring back something that could do them harm.

"You'll be fine..." Rahne helped him affix his cloak as he prepared to leave the den. "We'll all celebrate when you come back." She bit her lip and drew a hand over his cheek affectionately as she looked at her--

"Of course I will, Mummy, I--" Vincent seemed more stunned to have said it than Rahne to have heard it, although she had far less qualms about letting the smile spill over her face.

"Hunt well, my son." Hrimhari laid a paw upon his son's shoulder, who could only tightly nod, before turning and marching out.

It was nearly a full day before Vincent returned, but return he did, a bear's limp form was slung over one shoulder, five ruts dug into his chest by the beast's claws covered in bandages. As the twins and the other pups, some of them having taken their own hunts by now even, swarmed to him, he watched Rahne and Hrimhari approach.

Vincent Hrimharisson set down his quarry and strode to his parents. "I'm home."

The day had been won, and the Golden Realm was secure for however long a peace could last. For the immortals, it was the usual cycle, Vincent supposed, but for him, it had been momentous. He had been called to stand with the realm of his birth, and he had answered it, however conflicted he had felt when standing before Lord Odin.

More than that, to have been personally recognized by Lord Thor? It was mind-blowing.

He made his way about the hall, hoping to find Moira or Danielle and see that they were well.

Passing by one particularly rowdy area, he bumped into someone. (It was a party, everyone was bumping into someone, but this was actually enough to knock him down.)

(Damn mixed heritage.)

Vincent knocked at the door to Kristoff's room. His hair was mussed, and the collar of his shirt was slightly ripped. He'd clearly been in a fight, even if his particular physiology didn't show it on his skin.

"Kristoff?" His voice wavered slightly. "Are you there?"

Vincent's tiny limbs moved rapidly as he bolted through the forest, robes tearing on branches and occasionally tripping over a root or rock. He righted himself as fast as he could. He threw what meager charms and potions he'd stolen behind him whenever he could to deter his pursuers.

He knew who his father was.

Everyone knew.

Mother was going to send him away.

He was scared. More scared than he had ever been in his brief life.

Hildy could defeat anyone short of Lords Thor or Odin, but the house of Volstagg was too far away. He had only one place to turn.

The voices behind him drew closer as he came into the opening near the den. He took to the hill and threw himself into the entrance to Lady Rahne and Lord Hrimhari's den, framed by the tree's roots. "Lady Rahne! My Lord!" He squealed out a cry for help, out of breath, and already tattered and bruised from his flight.

1. What is your full name? Do you have a nickname?
Vincent Amorason. A very few various individuals have held the misguided notion that 'Vinny' is acceptable. <s>That rat-bastard Franklin called me 'Doomling'.</s>

2. How old are you? When is your birthday?
Eighteen years old, as of November 18.

3. Where were you born? Where do you live now? Are you patriotic?
Asgard, the Golden Realm. I currently live in Manhattan. I wouldn't call myself patriotic in the usual sense, but this is my home, and on that alone it is worth my defense. I revere Asgard highly as well.

4. Who are/were your parents? (Names, occupations, personalities, etc.)
Amora the Enchantress, of Asgard, and Victor von Doom of Latveria.
I don't wish to discuss them.

5. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
Not my blood, to my knowledge, but Kristoff Vernard is my adoptive brother, and the cornerstone of the individuals I consider family.
He's argumentative, stuffy, and excessively hypocritcal, but he's also brilliant, and loyalty isn't so much a trait of his as an element.

6. What is your occupation?
Teenage heart-throb, hero, sorcerer, and boyfriend.

7. How tall are you? How much do you weigh?
5'9", for now, and 350 pounds, most of which is due to non-human constitution.

8. What color is your hair? What color are your eyes?
Light brown hair, and brown eyes.

9. What is your race?
Asgardian/Balkan.

10. To which social class do you belong?
Gods and heroes.

11. Do you consider yourself to be attractive? Do others?
How could I not? I have rather sizable 'little black book' (although retired) that is testament to others' approval.

12. What is your style of dress?
When not in uniform (F4 or mage), the latest 5th Avenue finery, particularly Van Dyne designs.

13. Do you have any scars? Tattoos? Birthmarks? Other unique physical features?
I have... some scars. Their origin is a personal matter.

14. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
Weaknesses? You're kidding, yes? I suppose if you really need a response... I'm not as resilient as full-blooded Asgardians.

15. Are you right- or left-handed?
Ambidextrous, with a preference for right-handed defensive casting and tool usage.

16. What does your voice sound like?
Lightly northern European. With the right spell, whatever I wish it to, honestly.

17. What kind of vocabulary do you use?
One that befits my intelligence.

18. List three quirks or other defining characteristics.
I can't manage to grow facial hair of any noticeable amount.

19. How often do you bathe? Do you wear perfumes?
I bathe daily, and I don't care for the use of cologne.

20. What kind of facial expression do you commonly wear (dour glare, wry smile, etc)?
I'm told content and 'dismissive' are my most frequent.

21. Do you use body language? How?
I have very expressive hands.

22. Do you have a commonly used saying?
Not that I'm aware of.

Childhood

23. What is your earliest memory?
Asking my Mother why I didn't have a father, and being told that he was simply somewhere else where he could not reach us.

24. How much schooling have you had? Did you enjoy it?
I have no love for public schooling.

25. Where did you learn most of your knowledge and skill?
Tailored educational sessions with Mistress Jennifer in magic, and with Kristoff for most academic topics.

26. How would you describe your childhood in general?
Diverse.

27. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
The greatest mage in all of Asgard.

28. When and with whom was your first kiss?
If being licked on the cheek counts, then from Danielle Hrimharisdottir. If a 'proper' kiss, then a girl in my first attended year of grade school in America.

29. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
Not for several years now. I had a very nice evening with a girl I met at the library whom I parted amiably with but no longer speak to.

30. Do you have a notorious or celebrated ancestor? Does that affect you?
*facepalm* Two notorious, one celebrated as better than his predecessor. Yes, I would say they both affect me rather profoundly.

Influences

31. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
Escaping Latveria, followed very closely by my brother bringing me to task regarding my feelings for Andrea, and hers for myself.

32. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My relationship with Andrea.

33. What is your greatest regret?
Losing contact with the Lord Hrimhari's pack.

34. What is the most embarrassing or shameful thing ever to happen to you?
I believe the incident where Kristoff had to help me out of the handcuffs so I didn't snap the headboard apart freeing myself would place first.

35. Do you have any secrets? If so, what are they?
I'm largely an open book.

36. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
I wouldn't say that breaking Franklin's hoverboard qualified as 'evil', but it was probably the most spiteful thing I've done.

37. When was the time you were the most frightened?
When my father followed me to America.

38. Have you ever traveled outside of your country? If so, to where?
Every opportunity I get, for fun. Most of the first world nations, and a few more exotic locales in Africa, South America, and Australia.

Beliefs

39. What is your alignment?
Good.

40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
I prefer to think of myself as a realist with a positive attitude.

41. Do you believe in a god? If so, which one and why?
I've met several.

42. Do you believe in an afterlife?
From a cosmological standpoint I know it exists.

43. What is your greatest fear?
My father.

44. What makes you angry? Sad? Happy? Why?
My parents cause me no shortage of the first two, and my family and friends leave me no shortage of happiness. They have stuck by me when I truly did not deserve it.

45. Do you think people are basically good or basically evil?
I believe people have to go further to learn good than to learn evil.

46. What are your views on politics? Religion? Sex?
I believe politics and religion should have nothing to do with the other two.
I believe sex should be enjoyable and consensual for all parties, without fear of social stigmas.

47. What are your views on gambling, lying, theft, and killing?
Gambling can be an enjoyable activity, and we all lie for convenience or politeness, even if not done maliciously.
Theft and killing should be reserved for when it preserves one's own life, and only after exploring all other options.

48. How far will you go to defend your beliefs?
I'll let you know when I figure out what they are, but for now, I'd risk my life for friends and family, or innocents.

49. How much do you value money?
It's a means to procure nice things. Why shouldn't I value it?

50. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
Sacrifice the soul of another.

51. Do you believe in self-sacrifice for the greater good?
Absolutely.

52. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
I believe that everyone can find someone that is the best for them, but I don't believe it's always only one person, or that life is meaningless without that other person.

53. Are you superstitious?
I agknowledge the supernatural.

54. How much do you respect the beliefs and opinions of others?
When they're right, a great deal.

55. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings?
To a fault, I'm told.

56. Do you have any biases or prejudices?
I try to look at everything objectively, and then as to if and how it can be enjoyable.

57. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
Kristoff, followed very closely by Andrea. They understand me more than anyone else, and I make it a priority of mine to do the same for them.\

58. Who is the person you respect the most? Despise the most? Why?
Kristoff or Richards. They're both brilliant and gave me shelter when they had no reason to.
I despise my father with a burning passion, for what he did to me, his lack of honor, and his cruelty. On a more mild level, Franklin Richards is a pompous little thug.

59. Do you have a significant other? Who?
Andrea Denker, my girlfriend.

60. Do you have a lot of friends? Who is your best friend?
My best friend would probably be either Andrea, or Valeria Richards. I feel the most free around either of them. Danielle and Moira Hrimharisdottir place very closely, but I lost a lot of years I could have spent with them.

61. How do you relate to members of the same race? Class? Sex?
I regret that I haven't had many other Asgardians to relate to for most of my life. I like to think I cultivate a good working relationship with other heroes. I generally don't prefer the company of other men.

62. How do you relate to members of a different race? Class? Sex?
I love humanity greatly. I try to give supervillains, of whatever grade, some chance to surrender or redeem themselves, as I know what backgrounds and past experiences can do to an individual. I vastly prefer being around women; I find them less brutish and generally more intelligent.

63. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.
I've had passing crushes on the Hrimharisdottirs and Hildy Volstaggsdottir as a young boy, but I don't think I've been in love. Stay tuned for further details on that one.

64. What do you look for in a potential lover?
Intelligence, the ability to challenge me in conversation, long hair, an ability to defend herself if I'm not present, and compassion.

65. How close are you to your family?
Severely distanced from blood relatives, very close to adoptive family.

66. Do you want a marriage, family, and/or children?
I haven't decided about marriage, I already have a family, and am purposely not concerning myself with any decisions about children until I'm older. I have Scotty to dote on excessively for the indefinite future.

67. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
I only argue with people when they're wrong. Conflict can be invigorating.

68. Are you a listener or a talker?
Both.

69. How long does it usually take for you to trust others?
It depends on what they do. I try to give the benefit of the doubt.

70. Do you hold grudges?
Only when they're deserved.

71. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
It seems to be widely preferred that I don't do so.

72. Do you like interacting with large groups of people?
Absolutely.

73. How well do you express yourself?
Boldly.

74. How quickly do you judge others?
It doesn't take me long to assess someone.

75. Do you care what others think of you?
I enjoy being liked, but who doesn't? I do what I deem necessary though.

76. Do you have any enemies? How or why are they your enemy?.
I share in the general rogues gallery of the rest of the Fantastic Four. On a more personal level, my father has my eternal contempt.

Personal Taste and Opinions

77. What is your favorite pastime? Color? Food? Possession?
Sex. Teal. Fries with cheese and gravy. My copy of the complete tales of Fafhrd and The Grey Mouser.

78. What are your preferences in arts and/or entertainment?
I am very fond of industrial art, as well as arms crafting. I also enjoy the occasional opera.

79. Do you smoke, drink, go whoring, or use drugs? Why or why not?
I enjoy the occasional glass of wine or cocktail, but I don't drink heavily. Smoking and drug usage are vulgar. 'Going whoring' is a bit open to interpretation, but I've never sold or solicited sex for profit, if that's the reference.

80. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
Previously I was more likely to spend them out of the town with a girl of the week, but lately my priorities have shifted to quieter engagements with my girlfriend. I am finding this to be very satisfying.

81. What is your most cherished fantasy?
Becoming the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth.

82. How long is your attention span?
That is wholly dependent on the subject matter.

83. Do you laugh a lot? What do you find funny?
I enjoy political and slapstick humor, and am very free with my laughter.

84. Is there anything that shocks or offends you? If so, what?
Most regularly, my brother's continued attachment to my father.

85. How do you deal with stress?
Mechanical work.

86. How much athletic ability do you have? Artistic?
I have more than enough physical prowess to suit the needs of my life. My entire passion for my strongest area in magic stems from my artistic imagination, so I would say I do that rather well.

87. Do you like animals? Do you like children?
Animals can be fascinating, delightful, boring, or annoying. Children are animals, remember.

88. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
I am capable of meticulous planning, but find that life is more enjoyable at high speed.

89. What are your pet peeves?
Ketchup on steak.

Self-Image

90. What is your greatest strength as a person? Weakness?
I don't think that's a fair thing for one to assess about oneself.

91. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I would like to say my father, but if that were the case, Kristoff would not be in my life.

92. Are you generally introverted or extroverted?
Extroverted.

93. Do you like yourself?
Immensely. Why wouldn't I?

94. Do you have a daily routine? How do you feel if your day is interrupted?
I can deal with most interruptions, but I have a particular routine I usually keep open for flexibility. Get up, clean, dress, eat, go from there.

95. What goal do you most want to accomplish in the next six months? Your lifetime?
Maintain my relationship with Andrea for the short term. I don't have any particular long term goals other than continuing my magical, and resuming my scientific education.

96. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 10 years? 20 years?
Widely known.

97. If you could choose, how would you want to die?
In the arms of a beautiful woman I love, with assurances that she would be well cared for in my absence.

98. What is the one thing you would like to be remembered for after your death?
Being better than my parents, in every sense.

99. What three words would you use to best describe your personality?
Passionate. Brilliant. Developing.

100. What three words would others probably use to describe you?
I am unsure, but I welcome the input.

101. Why are you risking your life to adventure?
Adventure without risk is a contradiction in terms.

Lets see who is willing to finish this beast. If anyone wants to respond go ahead and feel free to steal it for other games and characters too.

Matters involving the Fantastic Four, present and preceding, were a matter of family for Vincent.

Matters involving Victor Von Doom were a matter of blood.

Vincent stood at the Latverian border, cloaked, with blood on his mind. He'd pinpointed where the assemblage of Symkarian and mercenary forces were preparing to make their move from. Let Kristoff fret and go through diplomacy. This country was loved by his brother, and therefore it would be protected by him. Taking a course of action that benefitted Von Doom twisted Vincent's stomach, but it was necessary. If the forces crossed the border, an area left so open as to be inviting, Von Doom would have his 'reason' enough to go to full war. It was mere inches behind his heels that the line was drawn.

As the tanks ahead set the ground to rumbling, and he could hear soldiers shouting, he raised a hand, and sharpened his gaze.

~~~
Reports are still inconclusive about the explosions, tremors, and brief wildfire near the Latverian border, but it is believed to be a training exercise along the border, with a weapons malfunction. Officials are investigating the possibility of nerve gas usage, as the unit, a dozen tanks and five hundred soldiers strong, report no memory of the incident. Injuries are widespread through the group, but no fatalities have been reported.
