I'm leaving Scribbld. I don't know what the fuck happened, but shit died quick. I've barely had a page worth of friend updates in the past like, 3 weeks to a month. Anyone who wants to talk, find my contact info. Ain't hard. Peace.

Thanks to all the people who've been here for me since the start. You're all awesome.

I'm way too fucking bored. There's like, never anyone online for me to talk to. Anyone who reads this and wants to chat, it would make me happy. I feel like I'm losing my mind.

On another note, my 21st birthday is in 3 days O_O.

So my July 4th is off to a fantastic start.

Went to the Yankee game with Josh. We picked up a couple of 40s on the way to the train, and drank on the way into the Bronx. We hit up a bar before the game, watching the hot dog eating contest while we drank. Once the game started, we drank more. The Yanks won in 12, awesome fuckin game.

At Kyle's now. Drinking more. It's been a very alcohol fueled day. Woot.

Happy Independence Day.

Watching Pulp Fiction high is fucking AWESOME.

Real update eventually. I'm slipping into a wonderful state of apathy.

Heading down to the Jersey Shore to visit Andrew on Wednesday. Very excited, but I gotta make it through work tomorrow first. Awesome.

Mos Def's new album, The Ecstatic, is fucking AMAZING.

Finally, after like, three weeks, finished The Road by Cormac McCarthy. Fucking awesome. The end is quite sad. I started Glamorama by Bret Easton Ellis today. Good after the first 50 pages, if not very long.

I hate not being able to use my iPod in my car. I like the mix CDs I have, but I miss having total control over my music when I drive around at work. I'm getting a new radio interface thing for my car, where you can put the iPod directly into the radio and control it from there. I'm excited. I'm also getting another tattoo... hopefully this week. Maybe Friday or something. Maybe I'll wait till next Monday when I have alot of money. I dunno. But I'm also really excited about these:

Where the fuck is everyone? Like, 4 people are on AIM at the moment, though I'm sure my very very miniscule buddy list doesn't do much to help the situation. I'm bored shitless, and I need a conversation. I feel trapped my own head, and I'm not about to start talking to myself. I'm not that crazy. 'least, not yet.

Barnes and Noble has a buy two get one free sale going on, I think 'till tomorrow. Very glad I stopped by there tonight. I picked up the 3 Disc mega ultra super deluxe edition of Kurosawa's "Seven Samurai", which I've been dying to see for a long time, but could never find, Hitchcock's "Shadow of a Doubt", which is, in my opinion, one of his most underrated movies, and Aronofsky's "The Fountain". I've had the soundtrack for that movie for a while, and I love it, because Clint Mansell is possibly one of the best film scorers in the history of the profession, right up there with Ennio Morricone and Hans Zimmer, so it made me really intrigued to see the movie. I love most anything Aronofsky does. So far, I've seen The Wrestler and Requiem for a Dream, and parts of Pi, and he definitely picks up on the darker, more depressing side of humanity.

Saw "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" last night as well, when I was over at Kyle's place. Aside from being incredibly long, and a little bit of a slow beginning, I was very impressed. Brad Pitt definitely deserved the nod he got for the Best Actor nomination at the Oscars last year. Still think Rourke should have won for The Wrestler, but I really can't say anything until I've seen Milk, which I own, but haven't gotten around to watching.

I really wanna see both Land of the Lost and The Hangover. Land of the Lost mostly because Danny McBride is a god damn comedic genius (See: The Foot Fist Way, Hot Rod, Tropic Thunder (I've yet to see Eastbound and Down, but I've heard very good things from numerous sources)), and Will Ferrell's been on a roll lately. The Hangover has the potential to be the funniest movie of the year, in my eyes. It might look like a stupid, run of the mill generic comedy at first, but Zack Galifinakis (sp?) is pretty damn funny, so he can definitely turn that around on his own if need be. And the Mike Tyson scene looks like gold.

I wanna meet Orson Welles. And drink with him. He's a badass.

That's all.

[A Bit of the Old Ludwig Van |Rotator- Make It Ruff]

I'm thinking about starting back up at Livejournal. Mostly for a writing project I'm working on, but also just because. I used to have one over there, but I deleted it a while back, since I barely used it and had no friends anyway. So if anyone reading this is on LJ, leave your usernames and I'll add you if I do decide to start back up over there.

Also. For both here and there. I was wondering if someone could do a layout for me, pl0x? I'm sick of looking at generic shit on sites like these, and I need to make things a little more interesting. So again, if anyone's good with that stuff, get in touch with me, please.

In other news:

Work tonight wasn't bad. It was busy enough where I wasn't really rushed, but I was busy to the point where time passed really quickly, which is awesome. I love those nights. I also made a pretty decent amount of money. I'm working again tomorrow night, then again on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the old store. I'm saving up as much money as possible over the next year. Aside from the necessities, like gas, food, and movies (Yes, those are a necessity. I'll wind up posting a picture and list of my collection when I move into school and I can get them all in alphabetical order again, which is going to take FOR-FUCKING-EVER), I'm putting alot of money into travel expenses. Between going next spring to see Andrew in England, and going backpacking not too long after that, I'm gonna need alot of money. I'm not horribly worried about the backpacking expenses as much because I'll have graduation money to throw around as well, but still. I don't know how much money I need because I don't know how long we're going to be going for, where we're going, or how we're travelling. So I need to save alot.

I've been on a huge jungle/electronic kick all day. It started this afternoon with me listening to a DJ Starscream CD that I had downloaded (He's the DJ from Slipknot under a different name), and I moved on to Last.fm to find other artists to listen to, and when I couldn't download them, I just left the Last.FM radio on and some really good stuff is coming up.  I really need to start listening to more varieties of music.

My fucking body's been spazzing on me all night. Different parts of my body have been twitching randomly. My leg was like, fucking twitching in time with one of the jungle songs I was listening to. It was fucking crazy. I think I just need some sleep.

The fucking music detection button on the Post Entry page isn't working. What the fuck.

Camp Fest 09 [Jun. 2nd, 2009|01:27 pm]
[A Bit of the Old Ludwig Van |36 Crazyfists- Vast and Vague]

So yesterday I got home from camping for the weekend. Holy shit. It was fucking amazing, even though we hit a couple of snags along the way.

Saturday morning, at like, 2 AM, I got a text message from Bryan saying he had to take his girlfriend Jess to the ER, because she was complaining of blurry/double vision. They did tons of tests, nothing came back as positive, which they took as a good thing. I met them at their place at 1 on Saturday, and I followed them to Bryan's house so they could drop of their cat with Bryan's parents. From there, we drove up to Croton to pick up Conor. Jess said she was feeling kind of numb on one side of her body, but we started heading up anyway. We planned on stopping at the Walmart that was about half an hour away from the campsite, and stock up on more food, beer, whatever else we needed. Halfway there, we stopped at a gas station, and Bryan told us he needed to go back home, since Jess was really sick. We understood, and he left us the directions to both Walmart and the Campsite, the 60 beers, and handle of Captain Morgan. Conor and I went to Walmart, stocked up on food and other necessary shit, and headed up to the campsite. We got there around 6ish, and got set up by 7. We had to go back down to the store by the campsite and pick up some firewood, and we went back, lit the fire, and started drinking and grilling. We didn't do much, since it was a long, semi stressful day, so we headed to bed around 11:30.

The next morning, Andrew called and said he and Monica would be up around 1, so Conor and I got up, relaxed around the campsite, and drank. We drank alot. Like, in total, I don't think I ever drank that much in my life. We started around 11:30 in the morning, with Captain Morgan and Coke. We hung out, and I opened the windows of my car and put the Yankee game on while we drank. Andrew and Monica arrived a little bit late, and they set up their tent and started drinking as well.  Monica made sangria, and we left that to sit for a bit and get the fruit soaked in wine. We headed back down to the store to get more wood, charcoal, and ice. We lit the fire around 1, and just sat around drinking, grilling, and talking all day. Around 6:30, we started getting low on wood, and the store was closed, which we found out after a very intoxicated walk through the campsite. So we asked the guy working the gate at the park if there was anywhere else we could get firewood, and he told us there was a stockpile of it behind the building across the street. We brought down Andrew's truck, and loaded it up with everything we could, including a tree stump. We went back up to the site, threw some more wood on the fire, and drank and grilled yet again. We put the stump on the fire at around 9:30, and it was still smoking the next morning. We stayed up late into the night getting wasted and talking about random shit, including funny stories from high school. I think my drink count for the day was 7 Capt. and Cokes, 8 beers, 2 large cups of sangria, and 2 shots of whiskey.

The next morning, Conor and I woke up around the same time, and started up the fire. We grilled the last of the hot dogs and burgers for lunch, and then went on a hike. We went from the trail down to this amazing rive, and we spent most of the day leapfrogging across stones and trying not to fall in. Andrew and Conor stopped and went for a swim, and the water was freezing. We eventually reached a spot where we really couldn't go any farther, so we all went for a swim. The water was unbeliveably cold, and it made getting dressed again absolutely miserable. We then had to climb about a quarter mile up a hill to get back to the path, and we found out we were in Massachusetts for some of the hike, which was cool. We went back to the campsite, dried off around the fire, packed up, and headed home, after throwing everything we weren't bringing home with us on the fire. It took about an hour and a half to get back down, and we made really good time. Conor came back to my place while Andrew and Monica went to her place to shower and change. They came over about half an hour later, and we went to meet up with Kyle, and came back here. We watched My Bloody Valentine 3D and ordered some pizza and just hung out. Sleeping in my own bed never felt as good as it did last night.

I think we're going again next month, hopefully without the complications that we had this time.

[A Bit of the Old Ludwig Van |Andrew Bird - Anonanimal]

Shit's been up and down lately. I haven't had much time to update, since I've been working everyday this week. I moved back home to my parent's house for the summer. I'm glad to be away from all the bullshit, drama, and filth that my house at school contained. Everyone was all pissy because they had to move out, and for a while, I blamed myself, but now I just don't give a fuck. They were shitty friends to me anyway. I should be taking joy in their suffering. Fuckers.

The only reason I'm working every day this week is because I have the weekend off. The reason I have the weekend off is because I'm going camping with Andrew, Monica, Conor, Bryan, Jess, and Conor's cousin Mario. I can't fucking wait. I'm really excited to get away from everything for a few days, relax, drink, fish, go hiking, drink, drink some more, light fires, drink more. Yeah. If I'm lucky, I'll remember the weekend. I'm about to go out and pick up and tent and sleeping bag for the trip. Solid update when I get back, I swear.

This song is fucking amazing. Thanks to [info]archangel  for showing it to me.

Potential idea for my next tattoo [May. 18th, 2009|12:46 am]
[A Bit of the Old Ludwig Van |Children of Bodom - Sixpounder]

I wanted to go relatively simple for my next tat, since my last three have been a little more on the complex side, in terms of design, colors, shading, or whatever else. So I'm going with text. My three possibilites, at the moment, are:

"There's nothing worth having that comes without the risk. Sometimes, it's not important which way you jump, just that you jump"
- Choke, by Chuck Pahlaniuk

"This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time"
-Fight Club, Same author

"It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything"
-Fight Club

All three of those hold personal meaning to me, so I think  I might wind up getting all three eventually. Any suggestions on which to get first?

I'm gonna do a post on the meanings of my tattoos... probably tomorrow. But for now, I need ideas.

[A Bit of the Old Ludwig Van |CKY - The Way You Lived]

Life has been amaaaaazing lately. The past couple of weeks have been incredible. And I owe it to a girl haha. I haven't been this happy in a long time, and it's all because of her. I like her alot. Like, alot alot. She makes me feel so... good with me being me. Which hasn't happened in a long time.

Aside from that, life's just been good in general. School's over, so I've just been relaxing, playing music, getting back into WoW, all that good stuff. Getting back into a normal raiding schedule for WoW is also fun, as I'm finally getting to explore the new content of the game. I'm gonna write a blog post about it on my blog, since that should be an interesting first entry lol. I'm also gonna get an entry up on Star Trek, which was fan-fucking-tastic.

Just figured I'd give a quick update, since I'm going to bed soon.

[A Bit of the Old Ludwig Van |Destroy The Runner - A Mountain So Big, A Question So Small]

I really dunno what I'm updating about. I've been feeling like shit all day, and I'm so glad I don't have to work tomorrow. I'd be in a FOUL fucking mood if I did. I'm going into the city with my mom and sister for Mother's Day. Going to a cool looking Cuban restaurant. Might go to bed soon.

Oh, and what the fuck, when did they make a third I Know What You Did Last Summer movie? It actually wasn't too bad. I mean, yeah it was bad, but it was tolerable. Especially because of the amazing cinematography in landscape shots and shooting locations. Acting was so-so, deaths were... a little on the unimaginative side, but the ending was pretty fucking sweet.
