I rewatched The Dark Knight last night, and I have to say, while I loved Iron Man, The Dark Knight blows it out of the water. I was heavily buzzing (borderline drunk) while watching it last night, and all this philosophical stuff started bubbling to the surface of my brain, and right there and then I had the genius idea to write an essay about that movie and thought processes of humanity.

Thesis: One of the exchanges between Batman and Two-Face:
Batman: "He wanted to prove that even someone as good as you could fall."
Two-Face: "And he was right."

The psychology nerd in me has got a raging boner. Yes, I know that sounds dirty in more than one way, but seriously XD

I think our nation has now become a nation of overly-sensitive butthurt pussies. For godsake, in the movie they're talking about a FICTIONAL CHARACTER. IN A MOVIE. This "controversy" (lol) makes me want to go see it even more now. Thanks, LOLlywood!

Also, two of the best Rays players are now on the DL. Carl Crawford's got a hamstring injury that could possibly be season-ending, Evan Longoria, our star rookie third baseman (and our home run leader) is out with a broken wrist and will be out two to three weeks. I hope that the team can hold down the fort while they're gone, and hopefully can hold on to our AL East lead! I think we can do it; our backup players are extremely capable of playing multiple positions as well as swing ing the bat, especially Zobrist, who's in for an injured Bartlett (shortstop). I believe!

I also sent an email to one of the people at the St. Pete Times about employment opportunities. The worst they can say is no, right? I'm not getting my hopes up at all, but if it pans out that would be awesome.

Chris and I watched Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind tonight. It was our first time watching it in four years, and we got all weepy afterwards. <3

Also: WTF IS WITH THE RAYS LOSING. Do they miss Jason Bartlett THAT MUCH? GAWD (yes, I care about baseball, and just WAIT until football season! good times)

Christ Almighty, 25 days until "the big day" omgggggggggggggg. It's kind of scary and exciting and frustrating and I can't wait for it to be all over and done with. I'm not cut out for pretty princess parties. I hate meticulous planning. To be frankly honest, I don't care what everything looks like or how it's carefully planned out like if anyone cares about stupid minutae like that. Just so long as we're married at the end of the day, that's well and fine by me.

In other news, Forgetting Sarah Marshall is hilarious. Be forwarned: there is a lot of schlong in it.

It seems half of this site is acting like it's the end of the world because icons have been reduced (I'm pretty sure it's temporary while they're fixing shit).

This isn't LJ Strikethrough '07, people. Give me a break.

Even if GJ were to get rid of ALL those extras listed on the [info]news poll, AND keep the icons capped to 100, it'd STILL be better than anything LiveJournal could offer. Right now, your extras on this (free) site are better than any paid LiveJournal user is getting.

Having tons of icons is nice. I, myself, had a small amount over 100. but I think the main issue right now is fixing all of this site's bugs, like why this site runs so slow. So slow, that sometimes, the connection times out (and I have a real fast connection btw).

I love GJPix, and I like having the ability to have a good number of icons (even though I will never ever get to 2000 like some of these bonehead roleplayers are trying to win an Academy Award for -- seriously isn't roleplaying about how well you WRITE and not based on how many teeny-tiny little pictures of Mary-Kate Olsen tweaked with Photoshop you have?), but I won't be bringing out the tar and feathers should either go the way of the Dodo. And y'all should do the same -- get a grip on this.

In other words: Superbad was awesome. You should go see it if you loved Revenge of the Nerds (I did!). Plus, the soundtrack is bad-ass.

Guys, movie critic Daniel Neman is such a fag. This is possibly the worst review he has written since he gave a scathing review to Forrest Gump (how the hell you can give a bad review to Forrest Gump, I dunno) all those years ago.

People either really love this movie or really hate it, but this review doesn't even make sense. In fact, most fo the bad reviews don't make sense. It sounds like some rambling from some radical feminazi's blog rather than an honest review.

Earth to Neman: Stop reviewing movies. You obviously don't get that they are movies, not fucking social issues. Thanks.
