There's a sharp controversy among the artists, designers and experts: is good website design an art? To know it well, we should comprehend the distinction between art and design? His purpose is to motivate the audience to allow them feel a desire for doing something like purchasing a product or utilizing a service.
2. Good Art is interpreted. Good design is understood.
Art as being a creation doesn't have limitation. It cannot be circumscribed by, definition, explanation and interpretation. Therefore people with different opinions, cultures, tastes, and amounts of education explain an art-work in different ways and viewpoints.

4. Good Art Is really a Talent. Good Design Is really a Skill.
Art is a talent. It's a spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings and expressed through drawings, paintings, sculpting by a painter. It is a natural ability and inborn-quality. It takes skill in addition to talent. It cannot be taught.
But design is a skill that may be taught. It may be improved and produced by hard practice. Therefore, from the above discussion, we can easily come to the conclusion that design is not an art.
Website design as being a significant part of design, it is not a skill. A painter has the liberty to express the way in which he thinks. It may be a personal interpretation and subjective reaction of him. On the other hand, an artist needs to reflect the way other people think.
