Where you able to import your journal over or did you have to purchase an account?

are you going to fix it so that we can actually purchase an account or get invites? because at the moment i'm stuck, unable to register a new username to import anything over.

If it helps, I was able to import and register a username in a few minutes just now.

Do those of us who have accounts here have to create new accounts there ourselves, or will our...I think they're called credentials be recreated for us?

What I mean is...I get having to import my content myself, but I couldn't even sign in to do so. It doesn't recognize my username/password (and I don't have a code or the extra cash right now to create one).

You just have to put in your username and password on the service you wish to import from and then the site will take care of everything. You have to register a username to do this, something that I was able to do in just a few minutes.

So, to answer your question, you have to create a new account yourself.

Thanks, though again, what'd I'd been asking about was the account itself, not the import, and that creating a new account required either a code or a payment, which was the main reason for asking. As of tonight, though, they seem to have lifted that - or else, I wound up on a wrong page somehow before - so there's that (thought it best to check again before replying here). I've now created an account. Thanks!

Will be able to use the themes that are on scribbld.us at any point? I miss my old layout, but its not available on the new scribbld nor on dreamwidth. None of the new base themes really appeal to me at all :(

Why has the site reverted back to the old Livejounal code all of a sudden? What happened to our new journals?

I second the above comment. What happened to the other site? What's up with the flip flopping and lack of communication

A little angry that I probably lost about 6 months worth of entries. Like the above comments say, the lack of communication kind of sucks.

I'd like to add my frustration to this sudden change and lack of clear reasoning. I registered an account with scribbld to keep a private diary of my therapy at diary, including self help resources, tracking my mood and progress, filling out dbt/cbt forms, writing diary entries, and setting goals and making reward lists. I had made a lot of entries and comments already this year and visited the site daily.

Suddenly all of it — my links, my distress forms, my progress charts — is gone. I can't even log into the account since it's owned by someone else, and I don't have a code to create a new one, thus the openid. I'm also upset that there doesn't seem to be any announcement of these changes nor response to complaints after five days of the rollback.

I'm really unimpressed. If you're closing, at least give your users the courtesy of some notice so they can back their shit up on a more reliable hosting service.

Yeah, I'm really pissed off too. Is it really so hard to send out one single mass email to the userbase to notify them of the change, or to at least make an announcement about it in the news account? I really hope they didn't do this on purpose... because that's pretty fucked up. I had no backup of the new journal...

What's really going on?

So it is May 23, 2015. According to the update which won't allow comments, the server was off and has now been turned back on, who knows for how long. Just want to say that I am here! Anybody else? :)

I'm here too. Really wish my new journal with the new entries didn't completely disappear.... I guess its nice having the old one back, but it's not much consolation. I guess it pays to back up entries every month.
