And I just have question. When you're doing the new username list will those accounts remain early adopter accounts if they were already early adopter accounts, or will they be made to be basic accounts?

Hey, I don't know if this is the place to ask, but I don't know where else to. I registered the username hightide and never got an e-mail to validate it. I went to your support area and had them send me another e-mail, but I never received it. I checked my info on the account to make sure I put my e-mail address correctly....after that I tried it a few more times, and nothing. Is there anything you can do? I would greatly appreciate it.

Well when we get things balanced out between servers and we see how well the 100 & 500 extra userpic accounts go, we'll try some more things. It's not a lost cause yet!

First of all I would like to say thank you so much, Jimmy, for everything you're doing. You <aren't required to do the username giveaway yet you do so anyway. When my close friend first told me about scribbld I could not believe that you actually listened to us and were taking the initiative to do so with the usernames. So I really can't say thank you enough, and I'd like to say that I personally think you're doing a great job with the site, and I'm really glad the new server is coming in. :]

I think you'd have to make a new style so that you can code in that specific URL.

okay two questions, and if these are addressed elsewhere on the site, i apologize for not being able to find it :[

first, how many icons are free accounts going to be able to have? and second, are early adopters going to be able to keep their 150 icons or that limit going to be lowered?

Free accounts are 5 icons, there's an FAQ explaining account types. :)

Question! Can I "donate" a name to the usernames community that I created and then realized I don't have a use for (It's not this name, obviously, but another one)?

There is one name in that last batch that I really have my eye on, but I don't think you're accepting early claims, so I'll wait till the next post :P

You can just change the email on it and don't validate it and the script should pick it up as being available/un-validated.

stop with the fucking name purging, i don't see how deleting usernames someone didnt touch in a month and giving 10 away to someone else stops hogging. i mean i'm not trying to piss on anyones parade but logically it makes no sense. i can see waiting 6-12 months and if no one touches it, great, but this server is pretty new and if "alyson" is taken im pretty sure someone can make "aly" or add a last name to it you know? give it time. all people are doing now is collecting names and the whole overeagerness to purge/delete usernames is what killed commiejournal. oh aside from them being total dicks, that too.

ps i cant update my journal in html format it stays stuck in rich text
