Motion City Soundtrack - "A Lifeless Ordinary (Need a Little Help)" →[Listen]

I didn't think I would make it,
thought everybody was against me
all those conquered eyes
and Christmases alone.

I never gave an honest answer
But I need a lot of angry organs.
Are we copacetic? Are we behaving now?
Filling up on endless enzymes
From other peoples softly insides

All this bitterness is starting to grow cold
Encompanies an empty evening, hanging
onto complications
Sometimes quick sand has a massive appeal
To me

I want to be somewhere else

I think I can figure it out, but I'm gonna need a
Little help to get me
Need a little help to get me
I think I can figure it out, but I'm gonna
Need a little help to get me through it
To get me through it

I always knew I had the answer
But I never understood the question
Indoor living
Lacerated to the bone

And now we've realigned the edges
I'm doing very well I thank you
All this sympathy is starting to wear me down

I wish I was someone else

I think I can figure it out, but I'm gonna need a
Little help to get me
Need a little help to get me.
I think I can figure it out, but I'm gonna
Need a little help to get me through it
To get me through it

I'll try to work this out
I'll try to get it on
I'll try...

I like to tell you that I'm ready
For whatever's coming
But to be honest there's a part of me
That loses control

I like to tell you that I'm ready
For whatever's coming
But to be honest there's a part of me
That loses control

I think I can figure it out, but I'm gonna need a
Little help to get me
Need a little help to get me.

I think I can figure it out, but I'm gonna need a
Little help to get me
Need a little help to get me.

I think I can figure it out but I'm gonna
Need a little help to get me
Need a little help to get me
Need a little help to get me

Need a little help to get me through it.

Linkin Park - "In The End" →[Listen]

It starts with one thing
I don't know why
it doesn't even matter how hard you try
keep that in mind i designed this rhyme
to explain in due time
all i know
Time is a valuable thing
watch it fly by as the pendulum swings
watch it count down to the end of the day
the clock ticks life away
it's so unreal
Didn't look out below
watch the time go right out the window trying to hold on, didn't even know
I wasted it all just to watch you go
I kept everything inside and even though i tried, it all fell apart
what it meant to me, will eventually be a memory of a time when

I tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter
I had to fall
to lose it all
but in the end
it doesn't even matter

One thing i don't know why
It Doesn't even matter how hard you try
keep that in mind i designed this rhyme
to remind myself how
i tried so hard
In spite of the way you were mocking me
acting like i was part of your property
remembering all the times you fought with me
I'm surprised that it got so far

Things aren't the way they were before
you wouldn't even recognize me anymore
not that you knew me back then
but it all comes back to me
in the end
I kept everything inside and even though i tried
it all fell apart
what it meant to me will eventually be
a memory of a time when

i tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter
I had to fall
To lose it all
but in the end
it doesn't even matter

I've put my trust in you
Pushed as far as I can go
For all this
there's only one thing you should know

I've put my trust in you
Pushed as far as I can go
For all this
there's only one thing you should know

I tried so hard
And got so far
But in the end
It doesn't even matter
I had to fall
To lose it all
but in the end
it doesn't even matter

Scissor Sisters - "I Can't Decide" →[Listen]

It's not easy having yourself a good time
Greasing up those bets and betters
Watching out they don't four-letter
fuck and kiss you both at the same time
Smells like something I've forgotten
Curled up, died and now it's rotten

I'm not a gangster tonight
Don't want to be a bad guy
I'm just a loner baby
And now you're gotten in my way

I can't decide
Whether you should live or die
Oh, you'll probably go to heaven
Please don't hang your head and cry
No wonder why
My heart feels dead inside
It's cold and hard and petrified
Lock the doors and close the blinds
We're going for a ride

It's a bitch convincing people to like you
If I stop now call me a quitter
If lies were cats you'd be a litter
Pleasing everyone isn't like you
Dancing jigs until I'm crippled
Slug ten drinks I won't get pickled

I've got to hand it to you
You've played by all the same rules
It takes the truth to fool me
And now you've made me angry

I can't decide
Whether you should live or die
Oh, you'll probably go to heaven
Please don't hang your head and cry
No wonder why
My heart feels dead inside
It's cold and hard and petrified
Lock the doors and close the blinds
We're going for a ride

Oh I could throw you in the lake
Or feed you poisoned birthday cake
I wont deny I'm gonna miss you when you're gone
Oh I could bury you alive
But you might crawl out with a knife
And kill me when I'm sleeping
That's why

I can't decide
Whether you should live or die
Oh, you'll probably go to heaven
Please don't hang your head and cry
No wonder why
My heart feels dead inside
It's cold and hard and petrified
Lock the doors and close the blinds
We're going for a ride!

Lyrical Theme:
30 Seconds to Mars - "Night of the Hunter" →[Listen]

I was born of the womb of a poisonous spell
Beaten and broken and chased from the lair
But I rise up above it, high up above it and see
I was hung from the tree made of tongues of the weak
The branches were bones of liars and thieves
Rise up above it, high up above it and see

Pray to your god, open your heart
Whatever you do, don't be afraid of the dark
Cover your eyes, the devil's inside

One night of the hunter
One day I will get revenge
One night to remember
One day it'll all just end, oh

Blessed by a bitch from a bastard's seed
Pleasure to meet you, prepare to bleed
Rise, I'll rise, I'll rise
Skinned her alive, ripped her apart
Scattered her ashes, buried her heart
Rise up above it, high up above it and see

Pray to your god, open your heart
Whatever you do, don't be afraid of the dark
Cover your eyes, the devil's inside

One night of the hunter
One day I will get revenge
One night to remember
One day it'll all just end, oh

Honest to God I'll break your heart
Tear you to pieces and rip you apart
Honest to God I'll break your heart
Tear you to pieces and rip you apart
Honest to God I'll break your heart
Tear you to pieces and rip you apart
Honest to God I'll break your heart
Tear you to pieces and rip you apart

One night of the hunter
One day I will get revenge
One night to remember
One day it'll all just end, oh

Since these are due on Christmas, I thought we should do like we did on Halloween and have a super special awesome three part theme.

Word Theme: Holiday

Lyrical Themes:
Danny Elfman - "Making Christmas" →[Listen]

This time. This time.
Making Christmas. Making Christmas.
Making Christmas. Making Christmas, is so fine.
It's ours this time and won't the children be surprised.
It's ours this time.
Making Christmas. Making Christmas. Making Christmas.
Time to give them something fun
they'll talk about for years to come,
let's have a cheer from everyone.
It's time to party.
Making Christmas. Making Christmas.
Snakes and mice get wrapped up so nice with spider legs and pretty bows.
It's ours this time.
All together, that and this with all our tricks we're making Christmastime.
Here comes Jack!
I don't believe what's happening to me,
my hopes, my dreams, my fantasies
eheHEEHEEHEEEEEEeee..!
Won't they be impressed.
I am a genius.
See how I transform this old rat
into a most delightful hat,
hmm...
My compliments from me to you
on this your most intriguing hat.
Consider, though, this substitute.
A bat in place of this old rat.
Huh. No, no, no. Now, that's all wrong.
This thing will never make a present.
It's been dead for much too long.
Try something fresher, something pleasant.
Try again, don't give up!
Altogether, that and this
with all our tricks we're making Christmas time.
This time. This time. It's ours!!
Making Christmas, making Christmas. La la la.
It's almost here and we can't wait
so ring the bells and celebrate,
'cause when the full moon starts to climb we'll all sing out.
It's Christmas time!!!!
Heeeheee!!

Adam Sandler - "The Hannukah Song" →[Listen]

Intro: Ok, this a, this is a song, that uh, theres alot of Christmas songs out there, and uh, not
too many Hanukkah songs, so I wrote a song for all those nice little Jewish
kids who dont get to hear any Hanukkah songs--here we go...

Put on your yarmulka, here comes Hanukkah
It's so much fun-akkah to celebrate Hanukkah,

Hanukkah is the Festival of Lights,
Instead of one day of presents, we have eight crazy nights.

But when you're the only kid in town without a Christmas tree, Here's a list of
people who are Jewish, just like you and me:

David Lee Roth lights the menorrah,
So do James Caan, Kirk Douglas, and the late Dinah Shore-ah

Guess who eats together at the Carnegie Deli,
Bowzer from Sha-na-na, and Arthur Fonzerrelli.

Paul Newman's half Jewish; Goldie Hawn's half too,
Put them together--what a fine lookin’ Jew!

You don't need Deck the Halls or Jingle Bell Rock
'Cause you can spin a dreidl with Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock--both Jewish!

Put on your yalmulka, its time for Hanukkah,
The owner of the Seattle Super sonic-ah celebrates Hanukkah.

O.J. Simpson-- not a Jew!
But guess who is...Hall of Famer—Rod Carew--(he converted!)

We got Ann Landers and her sister Dear Abby,
Harrison Ford's a quarter Jewish--not too shabby!

Some people think that Ebeneezer Scrooge is,
Well, he's not, but guess who is: All three stooges.

So many Jews are in show biz--
Tom Cruise isn't, but I heard his agent is.

Tell your friend Veronica, its time to celebrate Hanukkah
I hope I get a harmonica, on this lovely, lovely Hanukkah.

So drink your gin-and-tonic-ah, and smoke your mara-juanic-ah,
If you really, really wanna-kah, Have a happy, happy, happy, happy
Hanukkah… HAPPY HANUKKAH!
