Support for Jason Jones Amelia “Penny” Pennington – Penny is the middle and invisible child of a wealthy New England family. Her older sister Clarissa is the star cheerleader, star athlete, and good student. Her younger brother is the boy of the family and the one that is being groomed to follow in their father’s footsteps. Their father is a wealthy high end company lawyer who spends more time out of the house than in. Their mother is a housewife who spends her day at the spa and campaigning for well known issues and charities.
Penny is the quiet child and a tomboy. With her parents’ attention diverted she’s learned to fend for herself at an early age. She can cook relatively well, knows how to get around the city, and has a black belt in kenpo karate.
She doesn’t like anything girly and can usually be found outside in the good weather months and can be found holed up in her room with a book when the weather is bad. She hates wearing dresses, anything pink, hates anything she deems “girly” but secretly likes getting her hair done at a salon. She loves reading, following sports teams and playing sports like baseball and football. She loves NASCAR and monster trucks and tries to hide this from people. She has been best friends with Jason Jones since elementary school and has developed a huge crush on him. She plays disinterested and aloof about him, but is always watching him when he isn’t looking.
