Possibly due to a combination of Sherlocks, I've had the urge to play two Graves characters of late. Ajax, obviously.. and the other Illusionist I seem to have skipped in the move (I think I stupidly made him around that time and he was only in one thread which got lost. I don't think I remember his name properly either. XD But I remember some of my idea for him. Must have come up with it after Inception, thinking about it.)

Anyway.. there are some loose ends I'd like to tie up here still. I may need to do a cull of characters to make way for others. Sass mentioned she might bring her Meridian character over here. I'm considering the same for the kid I had over there. I don't know if anyone else is really interested, but I'd love to see things going here again. EVERYTHING. Believe it or not, I did have PLANS and PLOTS for characters. I'm never overly good at telling people about them, though. Which is a problem when you want them to happen.. rather than trying to steer things in certain directions. But with no direction, why go there? XD WOW. I'm rambling.

Regarding Ajax: He's technically in prison atm. It is my fault entirely that he never got there.. and that the crazy future Ajax/current Ajax LEO shooting mix up never happened. I think there were other things that happened that could have seen him in trouble that night too.. though I'm not sure what happened. *EYES NINA* Anyway, I believe the idea wound up being that Elliot may have been involved in implicating Ajax in the shooting (WITNEEESS) and that Ajax then takes it upon himself to get Elliot in there (as opposed to killing him - ROT IN THERE). Though I'm not entirely sure how that works. My idea was to have present Ajax broken out though. Then there was the idea that Morgan could somehow be involved in that.. 'cause she'd have NO idea. And who'd believe it, really? XD Anyway. IDK. But he has to get out MARK MY WORDS. (Though I do kind of want to go back and maybe finish off some of the things that happened around the time of him getting in there.) As for getting out, if he can, Miles would totally be one of the first people to visit. (SINCE HE WAS MEANT TO VISIT AJAX IN JAIL AND BE ALL 'SUCKS TO BE YOU'.) He would not have forgotten that. XD But disappearing WOULD be high on the list after that. I'm not entirely sure what his life will be.. other than nowhere near the same. He won't be able to be Ajax anymore, that's for sure.

Anywho. Enough about him. Other Illusionist - I think I may have called him Leslie. XD He's a SEKRIT AGENT. (What were they? ASPs?) So he has some sort of cover.. 'I'm an architect' or maybe something else building related. It makes sense, bear with me. XD Anyway, I'm not sure if this idea was even possible - and you'll see what I meant about Inception in a sec - but my idea was that he worked with a weaver to bring scenes and repressed memories and things they need people (people who are willing, I might add - I'm sure there are certain rules about poking around in people's heads and bringing things to not-quite-life that should be followed. That said, they may not have followed them all the time.) ANYWAY. The idea was, that the weaver went digging and.. I'm not sure if it's possible for them to then sort of weave what they've found, or the idea of what they've found for him as sort of a day dream.. or whether just verbal communication would have to do. But with the scene or whatever, he'd recreate it in 3D space.. so the person who had to remember or TELL or something.. would be in it. I don't know. XD Might not really work, but the idea was there.

It kind of went from there, though. I then had the idea that Rabiah was caught (btw she was kind of possesed by a demon who had been deprived of his body in that war a long time ago, and had been body hopping ever since. So, that's kind of why she's as nuts as she is. Anyway, this thing is hell bent on revenge when it comes to daemons and she was meant to be involved in these ritualistic killings.. and eventually caught. My idea was to have that demon swap to an ASP. In this case, Leslie's weaver partner.. which would end up getting her killed. (Not sure what would happen to poor Rabiah. I'm really not nice to my girls in this game. D:) I may have tapped away a little on my phone around NY a bit with him being sad about his partner's death. Though not that I remember it, he was meant to end up demon.. though nobody noticed. And in looking for a new partner, he was going to somehow convince people that Aislin would be a good choice, even though she's just a kid. Can't remember why. BECAUSE CLEARLY SHE NEEDS TO BE TRAUMATISED TOO. But tbh I didn't think I had anything nefarious planned. But I did have it in mind to possibly play him, still somehow possessed and not old/dead in Meridian. Not sure I thought that through, TBH.

Anyway, JFC. I've probably bored you all to tears.. or confused the crap out of you. But things don't have to go that way for those characters. I tend to get caught up in my own ideas.. and then want other people involved when I've made all this shit with my characters. SO. Maybe some of that can happen.. but then OTHER people can be involved and it can go OTHER places. XD

Aden.. I'd like something NICE to happen to her for once, to be honest. I've been completely horrible to her. But that said, I think she's pretty horrible to other people. So I'm not sure how that's going to work.

Esther.. considering just removing her or killing her off. She's lovely and all, but I just don't know what to do with her. Possibly the same with Istaqa, though I'd like something Werewolf to happen. He needs friends.. though I'm aware I failed at yet another thread with him. (I'm sorry, Carol. D:)

Kidface from Meridian. I had these kind of screwed up plans for their bunch.. even though the rest aren't technically characters. Again, another thing I've thought about but not INVOLVED. I'd like her to have other crims. Perhaps I'll go back and look at her 'crew' and see if anyone wants to pick anyone up (though they're honestly not that developed, so could be just make someone to be in that crew).

Rabiah, other than what I mentioned up there.. she's still a crazy, possessed pirate. I'm pretty sure if we wanted to pirate, she could plant ideas for places to go pirating which also relate to her(/his) search. OH YEAH. He was totally after that book. XD

I seem to be keeping all the insane characters and am considering culling the normal/nice ones. :/

Our polygroups have been taken down for inactivity. The Graves Hall one has a notice, but I'm just going to let them take it down. I didn't receive a notice for Beyond and I wrote them a very sarcastic letter, but it was mostly just to share my ire.

Since we've been really slow I don't know that there's a point to saving our polygroups. They're a neat idea, though not entirely useful and polyvore's activity policy makes keeping them live a chore. I've removed the links from the communities and you can absolutely continue to include sets in your threads; we just won't have an accompanying group to share them at random.

It's that time of year again. Nanowrimo is upon us!

This usually means I take a month off from rp, write a novel, then come back in December just in time for holiday fun.

I'll still be here for modly duties, but I won't be doing much playing. Hopefully we'll kick off the end of the year with some exciting plots involving retiring prophets and disappearing stars!

Not sure if this wasn't clear before, but we can start playing over here as soon as your journals are made (and have joined the community). I set the community up for adult concepts, so you have to put a base age into your journal's info page (which you can hide from view) before I can add your journal.

RP Bingo is up. If you want to play just ask for a card.

In other news you might have noticed we have a new sister community. You can officially blame Becky for this one. It's called meridian and is based in the future from Graves Hall on the other continent (aptly called Meridian). Take a perusal if you like at the meridian tag on the mod journal. We haven't started play yet, but I imagine it'll be up and running pretty soon.

In other news in the process of moving the mod journal over here I did some housecleaning. I modified a few definitions, but nothing that affects anyone's current characters. For the most part I tried to tidy up the mod journal, since it was getting a little messy.

I still need to go through and add, subtract a few characters (since I know one or two of you have added one and dropped a few down to npc level). Just drop me a comment or an email and I'll make those changes as soon as you have the character information posted in your journals.

Last thing to note: the npc journals have the same password as before (as well as gravenews which is for everyone's use), but I don't feel comfortable posting them in the journal. If you need it im me and I'll give it you.

Anyway, to the point - I've posted /almost/ all of the comments/threads in the community. I just did them as blocks rather than the individual comments - I think that would have done my head in tbh. Thank you Becky for putting most of them in google docs though! There are some threads I came across that weren't copied into google docs - I think they are being considered. I'll link to them in this post.. probably tomorrow when I can be bothered getting them all together. XD

BUT. I guess that means we're pretty much playable? :O

RP Bingo - Rules and Cards

1. Have fun!

2. One thread or log counts for 1 square only on your card. However, one thread can count as a square for more than one person playing (so if Sass and Becky play a thread about Elemental Brew they can both count that square off, or if Sara and Nina play a thread about Masquerade and Out all night, they can each decide which square they'd rather have count).

3. You can play for more than one bingo on your card. You can also go for broke and try for a blackout (playing every square on your card).

4. The center square is a wildcard and you can count any thread or log towards it, or pick your own prompt from the list.

5. There aren't really any prizes beyond having activity in the community again, but maybe we could make icons or art or fic for each other if anyone feels like being a prize peddling panda.

6. There are no deadlines for finishing your bingo and this could be an ongoing game if everyone is up to it. If you want a new card you'll have to beg me, because making them is a bit of a process.

7. If you want to keep track, please do so in the OOC and tag it with rp bingo. You can alter your card once you get it (crossing out squares you've finished in mspaint or whatever you like) as a visual guide, or simply list off what you have.

8. Again, have fun! I'm really looking forward to this game within the game!

Reply here for your card. I have them in png format and also as tables (if you'd rather edit them by hand as a journal entry). Ask for which you'd like (I can also give you both).

ETA: The images ended up bigger than they were last year and I'm not sure where I screwed them up. But hopefully they're still workable.

One more headache

This one isn't so much of a big deal, but we're only allowed 100 tags on the community.

As a solution I'm debating removing the location tags. They're helpful, but I don't think they're completely necessary for browsing a storyline. Otherwise not all of the characters will have a tag.

Not going to lie, I shouldn't be surprised that we have that many characters. But we do. On both communities.

ETA: OMG. I went back through and fixed all the missing tags. We're almost at our 100 limit, so I didn't put tags on defunct characters whose players are no longer in the game (and I'll probably remove a few more if Joey says it's ok to delete a few threads he was involved in with some players that are no longer with us).

If we hit our limit again with new characters we'll find some way to deal with it. Because we're awesome.

Update on the Move

So here's the deal. Sassy ported over the posts with lj-sec. Some of the tags didn't work and none of the comments moved over.

We should discuss as a group how we want to handle the comments. Would we like to googledoc them and add them to the bottom of posts? Do we want to re-do comments? Do we want to leave the comments where they are and consider it done (Sass has been hand saving many of these comments, so they won't be gone, we just won't have immediate access to them until we can figure out where to archive them (as an addendum, we're over our storage limit on the current archive site I have, so we can't add any more to it)).

Let's brainstorm here and come up with a consensus and how to handle old comments.

In the meanwhile, do feel free to continue working on posts that weren't finished on the old comm (here on the new site) and begin playing new things once your journals are set up.

And give Sassy lots of love because she's been working hard.

So welcome back. We're still working on porting posts over with the wonderful help of Sass (she's been tremendous in this effort, while I've been busting my balls on layouts and info pages and all that). So before we start going buck wild playing over here, let's hold off until we figure out what we're doing with the inksome parts of the game.

I Still Want to RP Bingo

So we had this idea in another game awhile back and it helped when things were slow to give us something to fall back on and generate ideas or play.

It's called RP Bingo.

Essentially everyone who wanted would get a card with 25 squares (24 prompts and one wildcard in the middle which could be pretty much anything). You just try to do five in a row and make a bingo out of your card; one thread or log per square. The prompts could be interpreted fairly liberally, this is just an idea to get us interested in Graves Hall again and playing like we used to.

Samra and Tearlag talked about recent visions.

Ohana and Cress got married. A lot of my characters attended. I think the only thing worth mentioning on that front is that Ganymede had a nice moment with Emelie.

Gideon confronts his sister one last time before poisoning her. Her obit.

At the wedding:
Hamlin chatted briefly with Aldrich.

Ganymede asked Agatha if it would get any easier She danced with Hamlin and later met the illusionist Ajax (while accompanied by Garage).

Circe confronts Ohana about some vaguely ominous things. Ohana dances with Bethany after a little prompting by Ajax.

Tearlag gets creeped out by Elliot, though she's been collecting evidence. Elliot makes small talk with Samra who's watching Enki dance. Enki was later kidnapped when Samra turned away for a moment.

Puck was invited to dinner with Hamlin and his family. Enki participated as well.

Every body went to the wedding reception. Evie and Oz were introduced to Morgan by Professor Titus, Enki and Tully danced their booties off. Puck will eventually make an entrance, my b.

Everyone also went to the wedding. Evie and Oz sat with Hamlin, Samra, and Enki. Titus and Juno sat with Morgan and Puck was almost late.

Enki had a play date with Samra and Taerlag.

Oz spoke to Jesse about Grey and fixity magic.

Enki and Chai were meeting in the Hall about daemon magic and MAGIC they found the Book of Daemonica!

Emelie attends Ohana and Cressida's wedding; she and Ganymede have a little chat.

Several of my characters attend Ohana and Cressida's reception and party, including:
Aldrich, who chats with Hamlin.
Agatha, who talks with Ganymede.
Sera, who meets Puck.
And finally Elliot, who has an interesting run-in with Teàrlag before he dismisses her. Then he finds his way into a conversation with Samra.

Deirdre secretly follows Draven until he outs her and they have an interesting conversation about the past, before an unexpected person butts in just in time to save Draven's life.

Ajax attends Ohana and Cressida's wedding reception for something to do on All Hallow's Eve. He meets Garage and Ganymede. (I evilly never finished this one. D:) He also brings the brides together on the dance floor with the help of his mythical friends (who also happen to be illusions ;).

Deirdre drops off a letter to Samra revealing the whereabouts of Elliot, whom kidnapped Enki. Sam arrives with Ham and they take Enki back from Elliot (who slips away just in time). (Nov. 9th)

Agatha finds out about Gwen's death and, blaming herself, makes the decision that she must step down from her prophet position. (Nov. 10th)

Elliot meets with Aries, one of Circe's faces. (Nov. 18th)

Deirdre and Elliot show up at Agatha's home in the middle of the night and murder her and her grandson, Draven. (Nov. 23rd)

Elliot finds Emelie while she's walking home from work and winds up shooting her for reasons unknown. (Dec. 13th)

Many of my characters (Amon, Anjelique, Ryu, and Vic) attend/are attending the Solstice Feast and make new friends. (Dec. 21st)

News of Enki's disappearance and subsequently being found.

Strange tidings about Hamlin follow the return of his adopted son which he later confirms in a press conference.

Agatha Ambrose's obiturary.

Hamlin reacts to Agatha's death, Ganymede comforts him.

Kiri invites her new friends down to the farm in Salem.

Trix, Kiri, Tearlag, Ganymede, and Garage head to Isla Partei for the Solstice Party.

Riona writes to Oharu about looking up a spell so she can show him Aylasia from space.

All Morgan has done in the meantime is have lunch with Miles and Isabelle and Ajax. She thinks they're all thinking about each other naked. (It makes sense in the thread, just.. don't ask).

Séreméla comforts Emelie whom awakens, startled, after recovering from wounds that she's convinced her brother, Elliot, is reponsible for - he apparently having tried to kill her unborn child.

Ajax finally corners Elliot down and the two meet face to face for the first time.

Corvus falls from the sky and is found by Ganymede, a fellow star.

Esther brings a ton of king cakes for the people at the Twelfth Night celebrations at Salem Park. She meets - Unfold Garage (outside of school) and Enki (a shifter too!), as well as Teàrlag - Unfold (a faerie, omg).

Ajax follows Elliot and decides to have a chat with his BEF (best enemy forever, OH YES).

Isabelle experiments with help from Garage.

She spends time at the lakes with Miles and things get a bit much for the commitment wary Isabelle - which mean she immediately goes to the city where unfortunately she runs into Ajax in a bad mood and is violently attacked.

She goes to Miles for healing and ends up staying there surprised she feels safe around him (she's in so much denial.)

Shortly after that she goes home but is freaked out by the fact that Ajax has tidied his tracks so she heads back to Miles.

She's abducted by Ajax a little while after this. After he lets her go - she goes to visit someone from her past - Havan to warn him about Ajax even if Havan does not deserve a warning.

Then home to Miles who is worried about her after she's been missing.

A couple of weeks later. Havan and Ajax have a confrontation which goes badly for Havan and his partner Valev.

Ajax then goes to Miles for healing - mainly so he can upset Isabelle and inform her that her warning failed. Isabelle reacts badly to this but also has other things on her mind. She suspects she's pregnant and doesn't know who the father is. She tells Miles of her suspicions and a test confirms it.

Titus asked Morgan to marry him, she said yes!

Amaterasu (pretending to be Amanda) met Aislin and helped her find her classroom.

Ohana seeks out her brother hoping for some sympathy about her up and down marriage, but Oharu isn't in a very sympathetic mood.

Hector teases Trix about her infatuation with Andrew Mast.

Gwen continues to haunt Gideon, though the new baby Kat seems to be helping him.

Circe taunts Cressida about her wife's disappearance.

Esther attends Tearlag's Changeover and has a chat with Enki.

Aislin manages to lose her class at school, but a nice older girl called Amanda helps her to find them.

Ajax has his work cut out for him when he goes to eliminate Havan ..and Valev. He succeeds, but is injured.

Ajax heads to Miles' for healing. While there he torments Isabelle who reacts by making him feel sore and sick and dizzy. He leaves to return to his crime scene.

I fail at making Ajax/Aden/Butterfly Brother's at the crime scene interesting to even myself. ;)

Ajax attends Morgan and Titus' Engagement Party - he arrives appropriately late and congratulates the happy couple. Later in the party he finds that he can't help but approach Isabelle - much drama ensues

Haneul meets his new roommate, Nix, at Salem Academy. Unfinished.

Séreméla meets with Gunnar to inform him that she's pregnant with his child (so she thinks); Gunnar shrugs a shoulder and Séreméla ultimately decides that she's better off raising the child on her own.

Emelie runs into a fellow expecting mother, Isadore, at a cafe where they chat the afternoon away.

A moody Corvus spends time with Ganymede and Enki. Unfinished?

Séreméla writes a letter to Puck confessing her feelings for him and how she'd like to spend more time with him.

More of Elliot's devious plans are revealed with a flashback.

Séreméla and Emelie both give birth to healthy baby boys. Emelie, soon after giving birth, abandons her son, Alexzander, in the care of her older brother, Aldrich.

Ludovic sleeps with his favorite employee, Iris, and pays her for her "services".

Emelie, having run off to Isla Partei, spends most of her time in bars. Trix strikes up a conversation with her as Emelie begins to drink the afternoon away.

fter the engagement party confrontation, Isabelle worries when Miles is late home and her worry is proved to be not unfounded when he comes home hurt by Ajax, she tries to fuss over him and do her best to heal him given it is not one of her talents.

She decides to deal with Ajax and informs him of her pregnancy before rendering him unconscious and taking a sample of his blood for a bit of experimental magic.

Then Isabelle meets up with Morgan and they discuss babies and weddings.

Once her binding is done Isabelle decides having dealt with Ajax that she is ready to put him behind her properly by showing Miles how she feels about him and sharing some
of her past.

Ajax reacts badly to finding out about the binding and creates a medical emergency for Miles to deal with. (Isabelle is only mentioned in this thread.)

Isabelle attends Morgan and Titus' wedding.(Unfinished)

Ohana met her old friend, Amon on Isla Partei. Later, Cressida begs Garage to find her wife for her. Once on the Isla he runs into his old friend Trix.

Ganymede had a bad dream and went out for coffee, meeting Aden. (I think I stalled out on this one, hopefully we can finish it quickly (and I'm very sorry for stalling)).

Tearlag gets the crazy idea that she should take Enki to meet his shifter kin. Later, Tea's idea comes to fruition and she and Enki travel to the shifter's summer camp.

Hamlin discusses October first and business from the other mainland with his old friend Hayward.

Haneul meets his new roommate, Nix, at Salem Academy. Still unfinished.

Emelie, having run off to Isla Partei and abandoning her child, finds herself in a bar conversing with a vampire. Still unfinished (My bad... where were we going with that one?).

Amon runs into his old friend Ohana. Unfinished...?

Séreméla brings her new born baby, Maeglin, to meet with Puck. Unfinished (what direction did we want to go in with this one?)

Deirdre kidnaps Haneul and brings him to Elliot. Later Elliot switches bodies with Haneul, against Haneul's will, and he and Deirdre then drag Haneul in front of the Parliament building and shoot him in the middle of the night.

Atlanta receives a warning of betrayal when casting runes aboard the Vicious Barnacle. She warns the Captain and Navigator about what she saw.

Later she attempts to scry for more information and is attacked by a mutineer. This prompts the mutiny to start early.

Following the little.. upset at Morgan and Titus' engagement party, Ajax has Miles understand that keeping his mouth shut on what he's learned about the illusionist is really the best for everyone. He pushes Miles one step too far though.

Aden is awake after a crazy night and in need of coffee. She finds it, though ends up sharing a table and some conversation. (Unfinished?)

Ajax returns to his crime scene after leaving it in the capable hands of the Butterfly Brothers. They've recruited another (Aden) who has some history with the illusionist. They get the job done despite the tense working environment. (Backdated.)

Aden tries and fails to prove some points to Ajax. At least she gets to knock him out and tie him up. (Also backdated.)

Isabelle has some big news for Ajax. For once he finds himself at a loss.. and eventually unconcious in an alley. (Probably backdated a little too.)

Ajax is emo and decides that the baby issue has to be taken care of. He knows exactly how to deal with that, so he heads off to Isabelle's where he is thwarted by her ward of pwning. Angry at this, Ajax decides that the next best thing for him to do is piss Miles off.. which he can do by giving him a nasty emergency to attend. And who better to be that emergency than Aden? He can prove some things himself that way. Ajax manages to secure his Aden emergency, to which Miles tends.

Miki goes to check on Aden and winds up helping her escape from the New Meridian Clinic.

Ajax turns up early - Unfold to Morgan and Titus' wedding to run an illusion 'gift' idea past Morgan before her big day. (Unfinished.)

Vivian acquires a new customer after Isabelle decides to check on the address Ajax gave her when she told him she was pregnant. Isabelle and Vivian get on quite well.

Aden turns up at Miles' house instead of the clinic for advice on her sleeping issues. Miles is not home yet, so Isabelle deals with her until he is.

Aden visits the market where she encounters Isabelle. They have an awkward sort of conversation about Miles, Vivian and Ajax. Ajax makes a brief appearance, noticing the two before clearing out because of Isabelle's ward.

It's Aden's Birthday! She turns up drunk at Miles' and winds up telling him just why it's the sort of occasion you want to get completely smashed for.. and gets completely smashed. She is awoken the next morning by an angry Isabelle, who is understandably suspicious about her presence in their house once more.

Rabiah is in attendance when Atty tells the Captain of her latest, worrying readings. The navigator then works out the best course for them to avoid land.

MUTINY. Rabiah winds up helping Atty after she is thrown overboard by an unhappy member of the crew. Swashbuckling ensues.

Aislin meets Isabelle during her break time at the academy. She learns a lot, even if she (thankfully?) doesn't understand half of it.

Puck and Sera meet in the park and he is introduced to Maeglin.

Titus and Morgan got married! Puck invited Sera to the wedding.

Enki and Tea start on their journey to the shifter community.

A bunch of the kids went out to the Inaugural Ball but nothing particularly exciting happened.

Garage found Ohana in a hotel on Isla Partei crying and not making much sense. Since then she's been hiding at Garage and Ganymede's house; the girls have a heart to heart chat about her situation.

Isadore does what any good wife would do and banishes the ghost of Gwen Wells from their house so that her husband can get a good night sleep.

After the engagement party confrontation, Isabelle worries when Miles is late home and her worry is proved to be not unfounded when he comes home hurt by Ajax, she tries to fuss over him and do her best to heal him given it is not one of her talents.

She decides to deal with Ajax and informs him of her pregnancy before rendering him unconscious and taking a sample of his blood for a bit of experimental magic.

Then Isabelle meets up with Morgan and they discuss babies and weddings.

Once her binding is done Isabelle decides having dealt with Ajax that she is ready to put him behind her properly by showing Miles how she feels about him and sharing some
of her past.

Ajax reacts badly to finding out about the binding and creates a medical emergency for Miles to deal with. (Isabelle is only mentioned in this thread.)

Isabelle runs into Ajax and her ward fails due to her magic being affected by late pregnancy. Before Ajax can have any fun threatening her she spoils his fun by going into labour. Then Miles shows up and is not pleased to see Ajax who eventually leaves so Miles can get Isabelle home and she gives birth to a daughter - Kendra.

A Yule visit to Miles' family goes horribly wrong when they do not approve of Isabelle - further complications arise when Isabelle and Miles realise they each have assumed Kendra will have their last name. Marriages comes up in a round about way but Isabelle leaves in a huff saying he can't get his own way by suggestion marriage, she waits up for Miles but then gives in to go to sleep not knowing he is out drinking but also planning on further discussion.

Ajax receives an unexpected letter from Cressida Wolff, leading to them meeting and him acquiring a job (finding her wife) to keep him occupied.

In all of his wisdom, Ajax takes advantage of the fact that a heavily-pregnant-Isabelle's ward appears to be down and approaches her. Things tend to go downhill from there - with her going into labour (with what he presumes is his child) and Miles turning up trying to be intimidating. He handles the situation as best as he can, but finds himself left in the lurch as the couple departs - Miles having given him the impression that the child may not actually be his..

..which will lead to him not dealing with the situation at all. (Placeholder I will fill soon, omg.)

A ton of backdated crap I promise I will get to will lead to Ajax spending his Yule in a grimy old bar instead of at his mother's. After a few drinks he is joined by Imma and then, through some bizarre twist of fate, by Miles. Further awkwardness and drinking ensues.

Isabelle takes Aislin to the lake/river (I think I keep changing it. XD) ..for the cute! I mean.. for an educational, yet enjoyable, outing.

Evie, Imma, Puck, Oz, and Pete went to the inaugural ball. Unfinished for the most part.

Evie and Oz have an engagement party and Morgan PARENTS. Everyone is shocked, I assume.

I never linked to Yuletide Haul and Candlement Wishes in which some people gave and received gifts and some other people made goofy and revealing wishes.

Bonne informs Aries that he has to finish the job (which involves killing Nix Rathsas). He gets to it but doesn't realize that Amaterasu was weaving for him while he was dying and she lost a part of herself in his dying mind. The incident becomes an unsolved mystery on the front page and rattles Teàrlag who insists that Oz and Evie come stay with her while the school is closed.

Ohana finally comes home to Cressida.

Evie and Oz go to Tea's house after the murder at Salem rattles them all.

Oz meet Istaqua in Salem while he goes back to get some things.

Picnic! with Icarus, Isolde, Morgan, and the familiars.

Ajax decided to fool his way into Ganymede's home in an effort to have Ohana return to her wife. He was - for the most part - successful. He was also successful in making enemies. (Backdated)

Vivian received some unpleasant information regarding her son via her correspondance with Isabelle.. who she then visited for the whole story. With her fears confirmed, Vivian collected her son and confronted him with what she'd found out. Things didn't really go too wellfor either of them. (I got sick of it.. but will finish it eventually!)

Istaqa - not wanting to spend his life alone in the woods - finally gets up the courage to try his luck in town.. and hopefully find himself some pants. He's lucky enough to come across Oz - who seems to understand his predicament somewhat.. and is wonderfully helpful. (Unfinished 'cause I fail.)

Aislin gets herself in all sorts of trouble.. but it'll be okay!

Plot Check In

We do occasional plot check-ins. Sass worked very hard to preserve our check-ins from Inksome. I'm copying and pasting her hard work here. I've edited out bits and pieces that are no longer pertinent to the game.

Check In 1
Garage cheated on Sam with Ganymede. Their marriage thread broke. Garage inadvertently moved in with Ganymede, though it's pretty much on the down low. He's still teaching, only now he travels from Homestead. Ganymede is happy to have Garage around (she's never shown brighter).

Sam's been up and down, conversing with Hamlin on and off. She's finally on the verge of being his girl with a not-so-subtle push from her sister Teàrlag.

Hamlin's been busy with this, that, and the other thing. He's trying to draw attention to the Blanket Plague. He's been chatting up the other-worldly faeries. He's been trying to give Sam her space while still being there for her. And his birthday was on May day.

Ohana has been hanging out with Bethany (we're still working on the thread).

Oharu has been grappling with his relationship with Isabella.

Gideon has been doing his usual lizard king things. He's been attempting to work an angle with Ganymede but without much luck.

Morgan met a squish-face Noah and the two became fast friends.

Gideon schmoozed Morgan. She thinks he's nice.

Morgan visits Miles. Miles puts his foot in his mouth a number of times.

Teàrlag told her sister Samra that she was an idiot for not being with Hamlin. She got a job at Salem Academy and then met her first new student, Evie Chanson whom she informed was a part-faerie.

Hamlin had tea with Seamus and explained marriage in Aylasia, as well as conversing about interdimensional travel. He also received a visit from Samra who finally admitted she was ready to love him. A few days later Ganymede approaches Hamlin to warn him that Gideon has it out for him. Hamlin brushes it off and Ganymede worries about his sudden and out of character recklessness.

Garage helped out Titus who had dropped his books and talked about being a new teacher. A few days later he has a nice moment with Ganymede who reveals that she can grant wishes, a secret she's never told anyone.

Ohana finds love with Bethany who reveals her secret wings. Isabella contacts Ohana to talk about her relationship with Oharu.

Gideon takes Ganymede to dinner in order to learn what secrets he can about Hamlin Graves. He comes up short handed. He then takes Morgan, the weaver out to dinner, hoping to sneak her into his back pocket to use at his will against his enemies. He's not entirely successful, but he didn't fail completely either. At Parliament he chats with Madeline to learn about any new bills that may be coming up. She tells him that Chai wants to introduce some laws about the school. Madeline mentions her siblings, Lucie and Ferand, as well as the king's upcoming birthday celebrations.

BACKSTORY:
Gabriel told Hamlin about some family secrets, basically that his father was Kenichi Abe and that he was part daemon. Hamlin seeks out Kenichi Abe to teach him daemon magic when he learns that Kenichi has the Book of Daemonica. Neither reveals that they know they are family.

Elliot, a law enforcement official and head of the Blanket Plague case, meets with his old friend Chai to see if he has any information regarding a possible lead.

Agatha and her deceased daughter (and Draven's mother), Lilith, get into an argument regarding Draven and his jeopardized, personal well being upon meeting a particular someone. Unable to stop Draven from meeting and spending time with Deirdre, their relationship grows quickly.

Emelie complains to her room mate, Sera, when she realizes her brother's are trying to control her irresponsible spending of their parent's life savings given to them.

Haneul meets a fellow student at Salem Academy.

Noah and Morgan meet again! Noah introduces the weaver to his mage, Titus. Morgan's crushing a little.

Miles and Morgan inspect the apartment offered to her by Gideon.

Gideon writes to Morgan, and she accepts his offer of a place to live.

Morgan receives a letter from the king, and flips out.

Miles and Morgan celebrate Morgan's new home. Turns out she's not so shy when she's drunk.

Sam found out she was pregnant after a visit to Miles. She exchanged letters with Evie about being part-faerie. Later she tells Hamlin about their baby. Much later Hamlin talks about his father with Sam, asks her to marry him, and they have an impromptu wedding ceremony in their backyard.

Hamlin and Enki talk about shifter magic and bake cookies in a bonding moment.

Teàrlag meets Aldrich and Elliot, the later of which is charmed by the faerie.

Gideon meets Lucie Albertine at the official birthday party; he is thoroughly charmed. During the following week Gideon is visited by Fernand (who threatens him), Madeline (who apologizes) and Lucie (who charms him again). Later he exchanges letters in which she apologizes for Fernand's behavior and he assures her that it was not taken seriously.

Hamlin invites Edvin to the hall.

Gwen talks to Agatha about her concerns for the future of her abilities and Agatha tells her about her future niece, foreshadowing that Gwen isn't long for this world.

Edvin approaches Hamlin about his visions and asks for advice about what to tell and what to keep to himself.

Draven and Merk get into a argument they've had many times before, though this time (much to Draven's surprise) ends unlike the rest.

Brothers Aldrich and Elliot both meet Teàrlag for the first time.

Emelie has a disturbing nightmare that raises some questions for her. About a week later she writes her brother, Elliot, so she can cut a bitch talk to him about their family financial issue.

Gwen Wells pays Agatha a visit in hopes to get a few questions off her chest about some odd visions she's been having. The following day Agatha heads into New Meridian (where she runs into the newest prophet, Edvin) to find something to help her with a vision problem of her own.

Elliot goes to his sister, Emelie, and Sera's apartment to (surprisingly) see Sera, whom isn't too fond of the idea.

Garage and Sam exchange some letters in which she informs him of her pregnancy and marriage to Hamlin. Neither reacts very well.

Morgan informs Gideon that she couldn't get into Ham's head. He's politely peeved.

Evie and Samra discuss being part-faerie, as well as Sam's pregnancy.

Ohana informs her brother that they're having a huge birthday party. Later she sends out invitations.

Hamlin takes his long needed vacation and meets his familiar, Shirotaiki. Ham and Shiro head out to the hall and he finds that he's to invite Morgan to the hall. He's not happy about it since she's a weaver and he decides not to do it for the moment.

Massive log with Gideon and Hamlin in which Gideon tricks Hamlin into drinking wine laced with truth serum and grills him with questions for the next three hours. Gid learns that Ham has been casting a spell so as not to dream (intentionally), that he has more spellbound secrets than Gideon probably has enemies, and that Morgan's last name is Morrow: Part One and Part Two. As a result Hamlin does invite Morgan to the hall.

Ohana answers King Chai's questions about weaving. My portion of this thread is finished.

Gideon takes Lucie out for their first official "date". They share a mostly pleasant lunch. She kisses him during their carriage ride to the dress store. He buys hers a pretty gown and some jewelry. We're still plugging away on this one.

Garage meets Deirdre, the photographer of Without the Sun and Draven's girlfriend.

Evie and Samra are having a chit chat.

Puck and Titus go for a walk.

Titus and Morgan write some letters.

Isabelle and Morgan meet at the river. There's a mudfight.

Draven's band plays at the Rundown where he meets Madeline before his band performs. Deirdre meets a loyal fan, Garage, of her boyfriend's band, the two chat for a while until the band plays. Emelie and Fernand meet, whom get along well right off the bat (to say the least), and end up leaving with each other.

Elliot and Emelie meet for lunch to discuss Emelie's spending habits. Naturally their little meeting ends before Emelie has time to order something to eat.

Sera writes Emelie a letter informing her of an employment opportunity.

Enki has been a busy boy. He spent the night with Evie and Oz during the party thread, it hasn't been posted, but I will do that. He spent a few days with Garage and Ganymede while Samra and Ham were on vacation. Enki discovered that he could do daemon magic under control. He was invited to the Hall and ran into Chai and agreed to study daemon magic with him.

Evie hasn't been up to much, just hanging out with Enki and Oz.

Oz met the other wolves! Yay! He was pretty terrified but excited at the same time.

Titus has been making smooches with Morgan. Sickeningly cute and now he is in a thread with Miles, completely oblivious.

Puck is discovering weird wonky things about his magic and other peoples magic. He brought Juno to the museum one night. He met Evie W and Chai at the twin's party.

Morgan was invited to Graves Hall by the name Morgan Morrow.

She asks Gideon what it means. He says WHO'S YOUR DADDY? ME!

Morgan is impressed by Graves Hall's built-in decorating skillz.

Miles is annoyed to find out that Morgan is stupid-in-love with Titus.

Ohana wove a dream for Garage in which she learned that he is still hung up on his ex. Ohana dropped a bomb about Oharu having once been married and widowed, and later using memory modification magic to forget about the whole thing (also serving time for using that magic, which finally explained his dislike of most leos).

Hamlin officially announced his marriage to Samra and that they are expecting. He later invites Aldrich and Enki to become members of the hall. He suggests a little vacation/honeymoon to Samra, which they take to Sparrow Island and discuss why it is that Hamlin's having concentration problems.

NPC Theresa discusses plans that will result in the downfall of Gideon Morrow with a mystery NPC. The Mystery NPC casts dark and dangerous magic to make good on those plans.

Hamlin invited Ohana to the hall when he realized that Morgan could not be trusted to weave for him (if only because of her relation to Gideon). She wove a dream for him. The next morning they discussed a ritual that would bind her to him as his official weaver.

Gideon goes to Hotel Mosaique to talk to Evie about recent events, only to finally realize that Evie no longer works there. He ends up meeting Mariella instead and the spell that the mystery NPC cast is realized (it was a lust-compulsion spell that would react only to Mariella and caused Gideon to do rather inappropriate things with her).

Teàrlag is starting to realize that she's got the blanket plague.

Ganymede's mother Meissa comes to speak with her about matters relating to stars (and I'm not revealing exactly what yet).

At the twins' birthday party:
Garage introduced Ganymede to Ohana.

Hamlin and Samra arrived late and left early. They chatted with Ohana and Oharu and had an awkward moment with Ganymede and Garage.

Ganymede and Riona have a nice moment and Gany introduces her fellow star to Garage.

Gideon escorted Lucie to the party. Even though they were being relatively discreet it still caused gossip later.

Cressida asked Ohana to marry her and Ohana exuberantly said yes.

Oharu asked for dance lessons from Isabella, whose birthday present for him was a surprise vacation.

Grandmother and grandson chat about his ventures outside the home against her wishes.

Deirdre visits Elliot, at his office, to discuss 'business'.

Agatha writes to Isabella Aznar requesting her attendance at her home for a meeting that happens later that evening.

Emelie attends Ohana and Oharu's birthday party and talks to several of the guests.

Miles reprimands Isabelle for her lack of punctuality and her tendency to smell like river.

Isabelle tells Morgan about the birds and the bees.

Titus invites Morgan to go swimming sometime soon. She demands he come to her house right away. Where she tries to jump him.

Ganymede tells Hamlin a little bit of truth that she's learned (mostly that her mother meddled and now everyone's futures have changed) and that it's very important that he protect Samra and their unborn son.

Ohana makes wedding plans with Cressida. She's practically bursting at the seams about it.

Gideon is confronted by Madeline. He decides to lay it all out on the table and tells her that he'd like to marry Lucie. It doesn't go over very well, but it's not disastrous either.

Of note: some time after this Lucie was removed from the game. Gideon's player decided to replay his romance with Lucie as if she were an entirely new character named Isadore.

Teàrlag has a series of visions all about terrible things to come for Samra and the baby.

Morgan learned how to make cupcakes, which she tested on Gideon. He invited her to his wedding, which she attended with Miles.

Not long after, she recieved an invite to Bethany and Ohana's wedding, and a letter from Titus. She asks Titus to be her date to the wedding, and they make plans to take Juno swimming. Also, she rsvps to the wedding... three times. (Which pretty much made Ohana's day.)

Gideon has a bonding moment with Morgan about his then upcoming nuptials and her budding relationship with Titus. The backdated wedding to Isadore went surprisingly well.

Ohana sent out wedding invitations of her own for her upcoming union with Cressida. A few days later she's invited to visit her brother to talk about weddings, proposals, and relationships.

Sam and Ham have a romantic evening.

Gideon finally succeeded in his breakbinding endeavors and finally learns Hamlin's first spellbound secret. Later he confronts Samra about what he thinks he's seen.

Aldrich and Edvin meet for dinner, a meeting that is slowly developing into a romantic date.

Emelie meets with Fernand to break the news that he's going to, unbelievably, be a father to her unborn child.

Elliot attends Gideon and Isadore's wedding.

Draven ends his relationship with Deirdre.

Deirdre meets with Elliot who sends her on her next mission.

Over the next few days I want to work on some parts of the mod journal that still look like crap (ie: the familiars pages. I hated them. I redid them).

I also added 3 new npcs. A parliament official. A lady LEO. And a prophet who's sick of seeing the future. Anyone can play them. I just felt semi-inspired and this is preventing me from making any more actual characters (when goodness knows I should just play the ones I have).

I also added some new content to the mod journal regarding societies within Aylasian Culture. And a tiny little post about all the silly acronyms that have been invented in our game.

I re-did the tagging system a bit.

I've added "!location:" to the beginning of places in the game so that they're all together and easier to find when tagging. I also added "!" to the beginning of other non-character tags (such as "letters"). Finally I deleted some errant tags and fixed misspelled ones.

I'll go through and fix all the links that lead to tags later once I've finished my overhaul.

On a side note my computer was glomped by an unfriendly virus and I'm borrowing Joey's until I can get it looked at (and hopefully fixed with minimal loss). Thanks for bearing with me!

Inksome has been having some financial issues from what I could gather from this news post.

At the moment what this means is that our icon allotments, as we're all a bunch of free users will go down to 10 icons per journal. This is a pain for some of us (who have multiple characters on one journal), but it's not the end of the world. This may take effect on April 1st if things don't turn around, but I wasn't real clear on that point. It might be happening regardless. I figured you kids might like to know so you can figure out what to do with your icons should they be axed down to 10.

We've certainly been through worse times. Should Inksome close (which from the sounds of it would only happen in April 2011 if the money continues to leak, so we would have decently advanced warning) we'll try to find another home. I'd rather not spend another long winter on googledocs, but this is all in the far distant future so I'm not even going to think about it.

1. I killed a defunct character (since the player never got back to us for over a year and didn't leave any sort of wishes for how it should be handled). This generated all kind of story I think, since it's a BIG DEAL that a student was murdered in the Salem Academy dorms. Please feel free to have your characters react or freak out.

2. Girls and their clothes. I made us a polyvore group if you want to join and share your character sets: Graves on Poly. Since we're not addicted to it or anything.

Hi folks!

Sorry I've not done the billions of things I said I would yet. I seem to have fallen out of RP things as quickly as I fell back in. Hopefully the out will be as brief as the in this time though. ;) But to motivate myself, I've decided to change all of Ajax's icons to a 'younger' RDJ average.. so I can use an older RDJ for future!Ajax and Ajax in Beyond. (Maybe I'll actually play him there then. c.c) So yes, expect some changes during the week. Unfortunately it will muck up the icons in the threads I'm in though, but oh well!

And yeah, probably didn't need to announce that. XD But SHH. Hopefully it will motivate me to tag and finally post some of the things I owe/need to/etc.

(I will eventually do proper Runes character info too.. but this stuff might come first!)

Posting from work to let you know that my internet might be sketchy for a bit. I hope not.. but best to give you a heads up if I can't post from home later. XD I might be able to do some tagging from my phone if there is a problem though, but I might be quiet for a bit. (And I'm already behind with what I wanted to do, wah. XD)

Internet is fine, netbook isn't. XD I do have my laptop though.. it also needs to be fixed at some point. Whoops. But provided it doesn't sound like it's going to take off I'm content to use it. Aww, just as I typed that the noisy fan started to kick in. Still not as loud as it has been, so we'll see. Hopefully I'll get one of these fixed though. I should still be around as long as one of them is usable! (Will let you know it that changes. XD)

After a long delay and no contact from our players on hiatus I've decided to remove their characters. They've offered no indication that they'll be returning to the game and only played in a handful of threads anyway. This really only effects those incomplete threads Ellie had which can be resolved any way the other player pleases.

I've updated the add all to remove their journals if you want.

Yuletide Season

Yuletide Season is fast approaching.

We've (meaning mostly me, but I think this extends to everyone in one shape or form) been a little bit discombobulated this year with school, work, internships, extended holidays, real life crap, and a whole plethora of things. Usually the holidays are a mixed bag. Some of us have a lot of free time to play and others are engaged in family activities and other obligations.

You know our policy around here. No pressure to play.

That being said we'll have a few opportunities to do little things around the holidays if you have a chance to steal a computer for a bit (cause I know Beckany and I will be sharing the lappy when she comes home again). Last year we had mass threads for snow day and Twelfth Night and the super easy one liner threads for Candlement and the Yuletide Haul. We can definitely do more of the same and all are welcome to jump in and maybe jump start some new story ideas for the upcoming year.

I can't wait for school to be finished so I can get back into game mode with you guys.
