Damn. He knew he should have Looked at her the day they met. It would have given him a point of reference to go from. He wanted to make sure she was okay, but he didn't know how to do it without upsetting her more.
She also had a point. Whisper didn't like...that creature under the hood, but he couldn't get enough of Marlow. Why was that?
And then something comes to mind.
"Marlow...you said to me, the last time we spoke, that magic had become easier for you, right? You looked completely different when we met, and now you have a new form. You're far more powerful than when we met, and you were pretty tough even then." Matt says, a train of thought forming in his head.
The demon he could see barely had a hold on her now. If she'd gone through all of these changes since the first few times they'd spoken...did that mean the demon was losing it's hold over her?
God, what happens if it loses it's hold completely? How much more powerful would she get?
"Look, don't take my word for it. If and when you visit Ian, ask him for an opinion. I've only mentioned that you'll come see him, but noting else. He may be able to give you more information." Matt says.
