Lucas smiles just slightly, then shakes his head.
/Nothing so severe, Miss Drumm. Voodoo, or accurately, sympathetic magic is literally magic through another agent... same way voodoo dolls, voodoo healing made with a piece of the target's hair, and so on work./
He's sure this is elementary for Shelly. But he wants to both assure the others he's not asking for some dark ritual, and also explain to them why Shelly is critical to his plan.
/The Darkhold and the Book of the Vishanti are mirrored opposites. What happens to one happens to the other. With even the tiniest scrap of the Darkhold, Miss Drumm should be able to home in unerringly upon the Book of the Vishanti. And because her magic uses a different agency than most, its unlikely to be blocked unless another agent of the Loa is working against us./
His focus turns to Dawn.
/Which is where she comes in. Asgardians are powerful dimensional mages. If the book is not on Earth, her magic, empowered by the rest of us, should let us travel to wherever it is without hindrance... and the only way to block her travel would be to block the Rainbow Bridge... and I doubt our enemy wants Odin's attention right now. The rest of us don't have that luxury.
