Rider hadn't been outside the hospital in years. Not since he was first committed. Who in their right mind would let him out? But apparently Snape wasn't in his right mind and Rider was very happy about that fact as he was led to the car that would take him to his new flat. He had an ankle monitor on, but that was nothing. He could be out almost like a normal person. He could live in a normal fucking flat where people didn't inject him with drugs every time he raised his voice. It was a whole new world.
Rider grinned to himself the whole ride to the flat, even when the stupid over-hyped security guard from the monitoring company insisted on coming up the elevator with him. He at least got to walk to the front door by himself. He put his key in the lock, opening it himself instead of knocking, and grinned at Pyxis and Walden snogging on the kitchen counter. "Is there going to be a lot of this?" he asked, dropping his bag. "Your bedroom better be sound-proof."
