michael corner ([info]cornerfied) wrote in [info]riddikulus,
Could she possibly have known that he got more curious when she went to block his view from the books that were left on the floor? He wasn't one for subtle little hints, especially these kind. He was good at picking up on them, and his mind would have wandered in a direction even if he had knocked Snape over and he was trying to hide whatever it was that had fallen. She didn't seem keen on sharing any fascinating titles, however, so he took to shaking his head and pretending to lose all interest in the books altogether.

Not very talkative, he said in his mind, wondering if he really was missing his trousers or something. Was there something in his teeth? Rotten breath? Was something crawling around in his hair? That was an alarming thought. Or maybe he just smelt so good that she couldn't speak. He prided himself on how he smelt, so maybe it was overwhelming for those who weren't used to it. It also made him want to keep complimenting her to see what would happen.

"What are you studying? Would you like a study buddy? I'm pretty good at that." Clearly she wasn't picking up on his hints, and his own nose was starting to get annoying with the itching of the non-existent itch. Bloody non-existent itch. "That ink really adds to your features. Would you ever consider leaving it there so I can appreciate it whenever I see you?" Michael asked, finally reaching over and tapping her on the tip of the nose so she'd know what he meant. Finally.
