Who: Dean and Stewart
What: Dean has something to show Stewart
Where: Classroom in lower levels
When: Friday night
Rating: lowish
Status: Incomplete

Dean had told Stewart to meet him in one of the lower level dungeon classrooms, this way he could get there first and set up before Stewart arrived. He was sitting on one of the desks and was holding his guitar ready. He was strumming making sure he was in the right spot. He had never actually sung to anyone before asides for his mother when she demanded it. He was pretty sure he was ready, but his nerves were so getting to him. He looked up at the door when he heard it open and saw Stewart walk in closing the door behind. “Please don’t ask questions just wait till I’m done.” Dean said before he started to play his guitar, the tune of a muggle song he had learnt for Stewart.

“Now that I've lost everything to you
You say you wanna start something new
And it's breakin' my heart you're leavin'
Baby, I'm grievin'
But if you wanna leave, take good care
I hope you have a lot of nice things to wear
But then a lot of nice things turn bad out there

Oh, baby, baby, it's a wild world
It's hard to get by just upon a smile
Oh, baby, baby, it's a wild world
I'll always remember you like a child, girl

You know I've seen a lot of what the world can do
And it's breakin' my heart in two
Because I never wanna see you a sad girl
Don't be a bad girl
But if you wanna leave, take good care
I hope you make a lot of nice friends out there
But just remember there's a lot of bad and beware

Oh, baby, baby, it's a wild world
It's hard to get by just upon a smile
Oh, baby, baby, it's a wild world
I'll always remember you like a child, girl

Baby, I love you
But if you wanna leave, take good care
I hope you make a lot of nice friends out there
But just remember there's a lot of bad and beware

Oh, baby, baby, it's a wild world
It's hard to get by just upon a smile
Oh, baby, baby, it's a wild world
I'll always remember you like a child, girl”

Dean finished the song and just looked at him. Dean wasn’t sure what Stewart’s reaction would be. He ran his hand over top his hat and bit his lip. “So yeah,” he said this softly.

Really the weather shouldn’t affect one’s personality so much. Stewart always attempted at keeping a positive view of things. It wasn’t as though he should be sulking, in all honesty. After all the thug had tried to hurt him, if not kill him. And even as Stewart was underneath his covers in the dormitory and closing his journal he couldn’t help but feel partly responsible for Sam’s expulsion. Stewart shook his head as he grabbed his trainers and laced them up. He shouldn’t feel responsible at all, Harper had attacked him, it was the other boy’s actions, not his own, that had caused this. Stewart kept repeating the thought to himself as he shrugged on his robes. The only problem was that this was affecting Dean, which was most likely why Stewart felt downtrodden. Then he had do deal with the fact that the school was talking about how odd it was to have Harper actually gone.

Harper was gone. There would be no more fuckery with poisoning things or wondering when something would happen between him and Stewart. The thought was daunting, as was keeping a positive view on things.

Stewart started off to the classroom that he had agreed to meet Dean at. Despite all of this all Stewart was sure of was that he wanted to see Dean, even if it was just to say something of worth to the other boy about the recent events.

When Stewart walked into the doorway and Dean told him to stop, he did so, crossing his arms and leaning against the nearest empty desk. Due to the fact that he hadn’t seen Dean in a while, the very sight of him made Stewart’s chest hurt in an unfamiliar way. Stewart kept his face blank as he took in the sound, and he unconsciously nodded along. He knew this song from somewhere. Perhaps his mother had played it for him when he was small or even his dad. He started to hum along until Dean had stopped playing completely, and then slowly opened his eyes, a small smile starting to form on his face.

It was so easy to smile with everyone else, a smile here, and a smile there. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to smile when he was with Dean, or that he didn’t feel the need to. It was probably that if he allowed himself to smile too much his cheeks would start to hurt, which happened rather often. Besides, mystery was always good.

Stewart just smiled at Dean for a couple of seconds before walking forward towards Dean. He simply took hold of the guitar, ignoring any protests the boy might have had, and moved it to another desk, before leaning forward once more and hugging Dean tightly with his chin in the crook of Dean’s neck.

“I love you, you know.” Stewart’s eyes grew a bit wide as he realised what he said, and his heart dropped for a couple of seconds. From all the thoughts in his brain that one had to come out. He loved Dean, that was obvious. But this wasn’t the way he’d planned to say it. He took in a breath and was debating on saying something but decided to let Dean speak first instead.

Dean looked at Stewart waiting for some sort of sign, anything. The suspense was killing him because all he wanted was some sort of answer because he had just showed Stewart once of his deepest secrets. Nobody really knew he sang, and very few knew he played the guitar. Everyone knew he took pictures, but this was different and something he had wanted to share with Stewart. He was scared that Stewart didn’t like it or something. He started to speak as Stewart was putting the guitar to the side, “I wanted to write you something, but this song seemed fitting too.” He said trying to explain himself and then Stewart was hugging him.

Dean fell into Stewart’s arms and leaned his head on Stewart’s shoulders. When he heard the word love come from Stewart’s mouth he smiled. Dean couldn’t help it but he felt some tears fall from his eyes as he pulled Stewart closer. Dean couldn’t get the words out, and just remained close to him for a moment. Finally the words become free from his throat. “I love you too Stewart,” he said softly and pulled back and looked at him. Dean gave his lips a soft gentle kiss that lasted a few moments before moving back to hugging him close. “You are perfect,” he said with happiness in his voice. “I love you so much,” he said warmly and pausing before feeling the need to continue. “I want you to come home with me for Christmas; the thought of being away from you doesn’t sound so pleasant.”

He wasn’t letting go of him, but he was waiting nervously for Stewart’s answer. He wanted to hear yes, it would make him so happy. He wanted to know that Stewart wanted to remain with him even during the holiday season. Dean felt bad for being happy when Sam was gone, but he just couldn’t help himself. Stewart made him so happy and he couldn’t control that.
