James had never had a boyfriend before, but Gryffindor had just trounced Slytherin and everything was going well and he needed to find Cepheus so he could snog him. Even if he did also kind of want to head back to the locker room to see if the scout was looking to shake his hand or anything. Puddlemere was probably more interested in Roxanne anyway. They needed new seeking talent more than they needed chasers.
He spotted Cepheus standing by his half-brother and waded over to him, grabbing him and pulling him into a messy kiss, then laughing against the boy's mouth as he let him go. "How does it feel to be dating a winner?" he asked, beaming down at him.
Xavier made a face with James Potter snogged Cepheus in front of him. "Wet, probably," he said. "That looked like it was all tongue."
