Characters: Kia and Claire
Setting: Summer of 2041, The Donnelly's dark room
Content: SFW, language and crying
Summary: Kia destroys the family dark room in a fit of rage over Benji leaving, Claire has to comfort her older sister.

Kia sighed, flipping on the safety light as she entered the dark room, it had been a while since she had been in the small dark box in the back of Mackenzie's office. She hadn't developed anything since spring break and hadn't had time in the last quarter of her senior year to really take any new rolls of film. She wasn't sure what had drawn her there but she suspected it was due to the fact that she had spent the last week locked in her bedroom, only leaving every so often to shower. It had pretty much been that way since Benji had decided to leave without so much as a "see you later", Kia was surprised she had been able to make it through the rest of the year, let alone graduate in good standing. Now that she was home though, she didn't even try to get through the day like nothing was amiss.

Spotting a stack of old prints on the counter she walked over to them and began sorting through them absentmindedly, trying to get her mind off the older blonde girl that always seemed to be on it. Most of the prints had been from spring break, but she stopped flipping through the different shots when she saw a particular one. It was of her and Benji, they had gone to the beach for the day, just the two of them. Benji was holding out the camera with one arm so they could both be in it, scrunching up her face in mock disgust as Kia kissed the blonde's cheek. Benji was smiling though, despite her attempt to look as though she wasn't enjoying the brunette girl kissing her. The wind was blowing her hair back and Kia could almost feel how soft the girl's blonde locks were as she ran her finger lightly over the picture. She felt a small sob bubble up as she stood there holding the photo, her hands shaking.

She hadn't meant to hurt the older girl, it had just been one of their usual blow out fights. Except this time, Benji had pushed a little too far, Kia had gotten a little too mad and in the end she had ended up spilling all the beans to the older blonde. It had started with telling her that her family was referring to Benji when they talked about the dog in the room, Kia had regretted it the second she told the blonde. Benji might have been oblivious to what went on around her but Kia loved her dearly and she felt like Benji didn't deserve the way her family treated her. The fight had ended finally when Kia screamed the truth about Benji's biological father, something that she had never intended to tell her girlfriend. She could still remember the look on Benji's face after, and it caused something to break in the brunette.

Pushing the stack of photo's off the counter violently, she began throwing various objects that sat on the work space across the small room. She got a particular rush of satisfaction from the coffee mug full of pencils shattering against the opposite wall. Once the counter was free of throwable items, she rounded on the sink, a few trays of chemicals sitting in it from when her mother last used it. She began throwing them at random, not caring where the chemicals splattered as they flew across the room. She let out a feral scream as she ran out of trays to throw, grabbing the jugs of chemicals from under the sink and throwing them instead. Several of them cracked when they finally hit whatever they were headed for, and began leaking onto the floor. She finally turned to the last untouched and most expensive object in the room, the enlarger. Hooking her hands on the top of it, she gave it a few mighty yanks before sending the heavy machine crashing to the floor.

Kia looked around the dark room, breathing heavily as she surveyed her handy work. The prints from the counter were slowly soaking up the mix of chemicals that was now pouring out onto the floor, all except for a few that had somehow managed to stay in the only dry corner of the room. Among them, Kia saw the photo that set her off in the first place. She walked over to it, her shoes squeaking on the wet floor, stooping to pick it up once she reached it. What had happened to the happy girls in the photo? Why had Benji just left her without saying goodbye? A few sobs shook the girls body before she broke down completely, her anger ebbing away as she slid down the wall onto the island of dry floor. She missed the blonde girl horribly, she couldn't remember a time from her entire life that Benji hadn't been a part of it, and now she didn't even know where the girl was or if she was coming back. The brunette clutched the photo to her chest, wishing it was as good as the real thing.
His poor guitar suffers, and a friendship is forever ended, replaced by a blood feud to survive the ages.

Theo didn't care that Benji was eating all of his food, chilling on his couch, and otherwise being a pain. It was the typical Benji M.O. if you asked him. And, besides that, he was more focused on his video game, dominating Mortal Kombat with Sub-Zero. What she had to say didn't really matter at that point.

"What are you talking about?" He asked, as the game flashed K.O. with the all too familiar chime. "I missed like, half of that."

He reached forward, dropping his controller down in his lap, as he grabbed a handful of gummy bears. "You want to smoke? Cos like otherwise I am going on to the next level." Which was about all the warning he would give on his sheer amount of cluelessness about what was going on around him. He couldn't help that he zoned in, really. Video games took a lot of focus! She couldn't blame him...

Could she?

Characters: Everybody!
Setting: The Donelly family home in New York. Circa the summer of 2038.
Content: NSFW. We know dem kids and this is THEIR KIDS SO THAT'S EVEN WORSE.
Summary: Tatum & Mackenzie are gone away for the weekend, so Kia enlisted Rosalie & Benji to throw a giant rager with her.

There was no way that a parent-free weekend was going to go without a little bit of destruction. It just wasn't in Benji's nature to let things go by peacefully, and it was one of the many mentalities she had adapted from her mother. If there is freedom, let there be party. She would have died of boredom if she just spent the whole weekend laying around watching television with Kia or something.. sure, they'd find something to do. But it just wouldn't be the same as a really awesome all out weekend, and with opportunity in their laps, Benji felt it was the totally right thing to do.

Almost as soon as Mackenzie and Tatum had left the house, invite texts were out, Benji was there, and Rosalie not long after. With Claire off the scene, and Theo subdued into either helping out or getting beaten up by his sister and a bunch of girls, things were coming along nicely. Wrangling Kate into helping was no problem, and by the time people started arriving, the four of them had managed to clean up and hide a couple of more valuable possessions. Kia would probably be grounded for life if someone broke something. The house was set to go, liquor and food all round and music already blasting. Benji had even only gotten a couple of shocks while messing around with the wiring in Tatum's speakers, trying to pump up the bass. It was all about the fucking bass.
