I just realized something. I've been watching The Rocky Horror Picture Show for about 15 years now. o_o That's a really, really long time, considering I'm 20. I've come to realize that this movie will always be part of life. It was the first rated R movie I ever saw, my first musical...♥ Each and every time I watch the movie, I learn something new. Just a few weeks, when I saw the live show, I finally understood what Frank means when he goes, "Or should I say Dr. VonScott?"...He's calling Dr. Scott a nazi...::Chuckles:: Took me 15 years to find that out. That movie is just always so full of surprises.
I'm loving the stage shows that we get every weekend in New Jersey. The Home of Happiness, the group that does the shows, are absolutly amazing. Bring me there every week and I would never get bored! ♥ The show is always so full of life and just the fandom of Rocky Horror alone seems to bring out the best in people. I am going to petition that anyone who is not offended by Susan Surrandon singing or Tim Curry wearing heels and lacy panties should see this movie. It's just that amazing. ♥
The sequel, Shock Treatment, which I just recently saw last month, wasn't as amazing as Rocky Horror, however the entire idea, the love of the show compelled me to really like it. I just wish they could have gotten back all the cast...Richard O'Brien [Riff Raff] wrote it, so he was in it, as well as Patricia Quin [Magenta], Little Neil [Columbia], Charles Grey [The Criminologist], and Jeremy Newson [Ralph Hapschatt]. Susan Surandon, as far as what I read, wanted too much money for the movie, Barry Bostwick had other offers at the time and Tim Curry was afraid he couldn't handle the American accent for the character he was choosen for, so he turned it down. D:
And now...I find out that Shock Treatment was going to have a very different plotline if Tim Curry would have participated;
One working idea for the movie was that Frank-N-Futer was going to come back from the dead and travel to Denton to find out Janet was pregnant with his child. Brad and Dr. Scott were supposed to have become lovers, and discovered a way to revive Frank using virgin blood. When he returns to Denton, Frank attempts to convert the entire town into a new cult of Transylvanians, and Riff-Raff and Magenta were to return to kidnap the child and destroy Frank once more. The idea was dropped when Tim Curry declined to participate.
I TOTALLY WOULD HAVE WATCHED THAT. XD ♥ I WANT THIS TO BE MADE! :D
Anyway...The Rocky Horror Picture Show will always be a huge part of who I am. Richard O'Brien & cast...thank you, thank you for giving me something to fangirl over even when I was just a little kid. ♥ I leave you with an icon made by myself and a few songs. :3
