| The Magician is resourceful, powerful, and always aware. Alistair Westerveldt is the middle brother of Kingston and Victor. He was always the second for everything which drove him nuts all through his life. He has always been grappling for power in his own way and always failing. A powerful magician and sorcerer, he has never been content with his station. Alistair was married but his constant scheming drove his wife away but not before their son Ephrem was old enough to take care of himself. Ephrem decided to stay with Alistair when his mother left so he could try to steer him toward a more positive way of thinking. Things were going well... until war broke out. Ephrem went to fight for the Arcane kingdom and returned at the end of the war injured and completely blind. Alistair has continued scheming and looking for a way to offset the balance of power while still taking care of Ephrem.
