As a mother, I'd have thought you would understand how devastating it might be to a child to have them completely wiped out of their family history because of some stupid traditions, but I also thought you might realize that being told you were born simply to be married off and carry the family bloodline to the next generation was horrid as well. I suppose it would have helped you to understand if they had bothered to arrange some sort of engagement with a bloke who assaulted you in dark corridors, or told you you had to break up with your first love because he was a muggleborn, let alone a Hufflepuff! Merlin forbid it all!

But I suppose I was wrong and that I shouldn't assume so much of you anymore.

What are you talking about! Do you really believe they didn't give me the same hassle. I never heard the end of Archie MacMillan for months. They got over it after some time---

And this is the first I have heard of any of this, so I don't know how you can expect me to be offended on your behalf for something I know nothing of.

You should be offended on my behalf because I was completely disowned and wiped clear off our family tapestry because they didn't approve of who I wanted to spend my life with! I don't care that you didn't know or that they harassed you about a bloody crush you had on a boy, they erased me from their lives and didn't bat an eye about it! And you and Patrick just kept being friendly as if nothing was wrong!

Be on their side Ally, like you always have, I don't care anymore. I'm going to put Graeme and Jackson first before anything so I can keep my priorities straight and that's all that matters.
