Starting grade is a B... you know the drill

* is the player named 'Hatcher' supposed to harken back to the days in the NHL when there were Hatchers in the NHL? And, they make him a fighter too? I'm wondering if this was a subconscious move or done deliberately.
** Derian Hatcher - former captain of the Dallas Stars was well-known for fighting (among other penalties)

* oh Chase - thank you for being the guy who watches hockey for the fights... at least it makes you not a moron like Taub who thinks all the hockey players should be polite and bow when they skate by each other.

* Taub 'fighting cheapens the game' - for the record, no, not really. Unnecessary and excessive fighting cheapens the game. Notice they don't give out a trophy for the most Unsportsman-like conduct. There isn't an opposite to the Lady Byng. Fighting has it's moments, but shouldn't be the core facet of the game.

* I should also point out that I'm annoyed that the House writers went w/ the 'tried and true' cliché that only 'enforcers' fight in hockey and that the only reason the NHL would look at their current patient is for his penalty minutes - believe me, the kid's gotta have some hockey skill to go with it or the NHL really won't give a shit. If he can't pass, block and score, he's rather useless as a hockey player. (goaltenders excepted, b/c they have a whole different job)

* oh hell - they turned Wilson into Cuddy... *cries*

* ah House - still wanting all the girls to take off their clothes for you... at least that's consistent.

* WHY???? WHY ARE THEY GIVING ALL THE CHARACTERS KIDS???????? WHY???????? THAT DIDN'T WORK BEFORE!!!! STOP IT!

* oh - and the hockey player dude has boobs

* so, Chase has a new roommate - Park, and apparently her grandmother?

* now they're running a differential on 'crying inna corner'

* Park is a moron

* Wilson's kid looks like a mini version of Kurt Hummel from Glee...
** okay - why do I get the feeling that this kid thing is a set-up by House?

* okay - LOL - Chase left House in the MRI.... hahahahahahaha

* Wilson... why are you making pizza in the dark with a kid? no no - the important part is the IN THE DARK! Turn on a fucking light?????
** Yeah - this has to be a set-up, no WAY this kid is for real.

* Ford? When did Wilson get a Ford? What happened to his Volvo?
** and duuuuuuuuude - there really *is* something wrong w/ this kid! No kid estranged from his father for the 1st 11 years of his life is automatically in love w/ his supposed father from the moment they talk on the phone and goes all for the hugging and having pizza in the dark. I smell set-up.

* OMG, for real? PoW hockey player's dad used to 'flood the backyard' in the winter - ummmmm - every hockey fan knows that story from Gretzky's childhood, you know that, right? Not that other dad's didn't flood their yards, but when it's put on TV, it sounds like they just stole the Gretzky childhood story.

* How 'convenient' that Wilson's 'kid' needs a place to stay b/c his mother is going to Costa Rica?

* the hockey metaphors are starting to get a little over-the-top.

* Wilson says 'I'm not ready for this' and... House does the big reveal... DUH... seriously, Wilson... how long have you KNOWN House?

* oh dear lord, Chase... the family thing... I mean, maybe it's understandable, it's just really cliché - then again, this whole episode was cliché.

* was Omar, like, out of the country or something? He's not in the episode once. He's only mentioned ONCE. This is a new record!

Final Grade - B- for some of the vaguely insulting hockey stuff, but otherwise, an 'eh' episode. It didn't suck, but it wasn't awesome. Though, apparently, Taub is the new Foreman. Taub's always trying to stand up to House and prove that he's good enough for this and not a moron. Except, he kind of *is* a moron and will never be as smart as or as good as House.

** add to this, part of the 'minus' this week is b/c the kid is named 'Bobby'.... really?? Ugh.

Whatev - imma watch H50 now... then go to work.
