→: It was early afternoon and though it was hot in Cold Water Flats, it was cool in the shade and that was where Robin was. Stretched out on the hammock on the side of the wrap around porch, he was sleeping quietly in the shade, one arm hung over the edge of the hammock. Because it was so warm out he wasn't wearing his usual. He had on a pair of black trousers, no shoes or socks and his white button down shirt and vest were both unbuttoned and left open as he relaxed. The only problem was that he had all of his loose sketches with him because he'd been drawing and now they were blowing all over the backyard.
→: Haben had spent the morning in town, as he sometimes did. By the time he walked all the way back to the Haven, he was sweaty and dirty from the dry dust coating the sides of the road where he'd walked. He didn't mind so much though, and it was nothing a quick shower couldn't cure. When he got back, he noticed a drawing that had blown all the way up front, and he picked it up, wondering where Robin was. He went inside and showered before throwing a pair of clean jeans on and going out back with the drawing. "There you are," he laughed, showing Robin the paper he'd found. "You draw him a lot."
→: When he heard Haben's voice he woke up and came to slowly. Lifting his head up a little bit he blinked a few times and rubbed one hand beneath his glasses against his eyes. When he was completely awake he just smiled up at Haben a little and at the drawing of Sullivan in his hand. "Hey, you're all clean and you smell good." He had yet to realize that the back yard and the woods were now littered with his sketches. "Where'd you get that? C'mere. Sit in the hammock with em."
→: Very easily persuaded, Haben crawled into the hammock, making it swing slightly. He was an expert lounger, and he tossed his arm across Robin's stomach. "I guess he's pretty enough to draw. You're such a stalker." Oddly enough, having sex with both of them had rather balanced him out. He grinned teasingly. "They're scattered all over the lawn."
→: Robin looked over to see them all in the grass and he just signed. Before he would have panicked and gone running to pick them all up so no one saw all of his drawings but right now he was so relaxed and Haben was there and that was reallyu all he needed. "He is pretty. I stalk you too, you know. You should see all the drawings I have of you when you fall asleep in random places." He slid one arm around Haben and just stayed on his back, holding onto the Lion easily enough. "I just started a painting of you in your lion form with your cute little mane." He brushed his hand through Haben's hair.
→: "It'll grow in," He frowned briefly, always annoyed when anyone referred to his mane as little. He vaguely remembered his father's; it was glorious and gold and someday Haben would have it. "Can I see it before it's finished?" He liked trying to sneek peeks of Robin's work. He was hardly ever successful though.
→: "Nope." Robin said, turning his head so he could kiss Haben's forehead. "you're going to be totally gorgeous when the mane fills out." Not that he wasn't totally gorgeous already. "Can we run together soon?" Because they didn't run together very often. Robin was still a little skittish around him in lion form but he tried to be brave just because he really did like doing it once they were out there.
→: As all lions did, Haben learned very quickly, and his time spent with the wolves had taught him a great deal of classic control, but he was far from perfect yet. Sometimes his mind still slipped from his lion, and it was replaced with just the animalistic nature. Still, a wolf was relatively safe with him, even a small one. He nodded. "Of course, if you want. You're avoiding m question. Do you think you can distract me with compliments?"
→: "What was the question? About seeing it before it was finished? I said nope." He laughed a little bit. "Have I let you see any of the work I've done before it was finished?" Particularly the paintings, because those took so much work and effort and he didn't want to spoil them before he had them finished.
→: Haben pouted. "I pretended not to hear it." He admitted, shifting around some more and making the hammock swing again. He liked the way it moved and the way it made the branches of the tree groan in minor protest. After awhile, he lifted his head. "Did you hear about the vampire?" It sounded like the opening of a corny joke, but it was a light whisper among the wolves, and Jocelin.
→: "I didn't hear... I mean, are you talking about the vampire that hurt Vaughn? Because I heard that he was coming here to pick up the human we've had at the main house for a while." he put one foot down on the ground and pushed them all the way to one side before pickign it back up so they were swinging a little harder and a little longer.
→: That was almost enough to rock Haben into an afternoon nap. "No," he mumbled, shutting his eyes. "The one that went home last night." He was drifting, and nuzzling closer to Robin. "Came in with Sullivan, left with him too. Felix said." Because Felix stayed up late and had seen Sullivan drive in.
→: "Weird. I'll ask Sully about it later maybe." But for now he was content to just lay with Haben and let the hammock lull them both to sleepy states. "I think I could lay out here all afternoon with you." He really liked the swinging sensation and he liked just being close to Haben. "Why didn't you come get me so I could shower with you?"
→: "Because I wanted to get clean, not dirtier." He quipped, voice still distant and heavy with the warmth they were generating together. "I can always take another." That was his general philosophy on life, there was always another something. He'd applied that to people too before Robin.
→: "Well maybe later." Because another shoewr would involve getting up. "Let's swing on the hammock for a little while longer and then we can run and after we run we'll probably need to shower again. Will you shift first so I can pet you?" Because he liked running his hands through the lion's mane.
→: "It doesn't still scare you?" That thought made him stir, and what disturbed him most was that the stirring wasn't all guilt, some of it was excitement at the thought.
→: "A little bit." Robin admitted to him, because he felt like he could be honest about anything with Haben. "It does but that just makes me want to do it more, you know? Because maybe I'll not be scared after a while."
→: Haben's voice got smaller. "I kind of like the way you smell when you're afraid. It's like copper and black licorice." Of course, he liked the way Robin smelled all the time. It would be a safe sort of fear, if Haben had a little better control of his own beast. Opening his mouth, he bit against Robin's arm, through his shirt gently.
→: That made Robin smile a little bit. "Well you'll smell it today." It wasn't crippling fear, but it was fear and he knew it would smell almost the same to Haben when he was in his lion form. "Did you... you know, like it that day?" Because it had scared Robin and hurt him, but the more he thought about it the more he kind of liked it, though he was still struggling with admitting that to himself because he thought it was kind of weird.
→: Haben didn't want to answer that question because he couldn't quite come up with a solid response. He'd felt terrible, sick with jealousy and guilt. But the predator in him had been undeniably exhilerated, joyous at such perfect prey. Thinking about that side of it left him breathless sometimes. "I did. I mean, some of me did. You're--I don't understand it, but you're really beautiful when you're underneath me, afraid of me."
→: A shiver ran through Robin and his heart started beating a little bit faster as he thought about it coupled with what Haben had just said. "Do you... you know." He always started his sentences like that when he was afraid to say what he was thinking outloud. "Want to do it again, maybe?" Because he thought it could be interesting if they did, and this time he was expecting it, so it might hurt less as long as Haben didn't claw him or bite him.
→: "I don't know if I can control myself." But that may have been half the fun. Still, he couldn't live with himself if he ended up killing Robin. Haben groaned, thinking about how it had made him feel though, the good parts. A roll of warm energy washed over him.
→: "You lost control last time and I didn't die. This time you know it's going to happen so you'll have a little more control over it. And I heal really well." He was fianlly all the way healed from having been hit by the car over a month earlier. He still had aches and pains every now and again but for the most part he was back to normal.
→: Haben laughed a little, maybe a bit ruefully. "Why do you like being hurt?" He wondered out loud, but not with any judgment in his voice. "I do want to do it again. That worries me. What if I turn into one of those rogue lions?"
→: "You wont." He said softly, biting his bottmo lip. "It's not really about being hurt, because if you don't bite me I don't really get hurt. It's just... it's really intimate, it's a part of you that no one else has ever gotten to have and no one else will." Because he'd kill a human if he did it and he was pretty sure any other shifter would fight him off.
→: Haben nodded, but was uncertain of the answer. Finally, he just smiled, and leaned up to kiss Robin. "But what if I did bite you?" He whispered against his mouth.
→: "I wouldn't mind it that much." Robin kissed him back, his words lost between their lips. "Becaues it was a bite from you.' And that was perfect for him.
→: Haben's tongue slid into Robin's mouth, lapping up against his teeth. His hand had long since let go of the drawing of Sullivan and it was drifting off in the middle of the grass somewhere. "You just want to make fun of my scraggly mane." Haben grinned, mouth now at Robin's neck.
→: That made him laugh a little bit and he wrapped his arm tighter around Haben, his hand drifting up into the lion's hair. "I love your mane, it's one of my favorite things about you. I can't wait until it's full but I"m going to miss it being like it is now." He turned his head to the side a little to give Haven more neck and more skin to bite and lick and tease.
→: Haben blew a great big raspberry against the now very exposed skin. "You'd better run," he said, mostly teasing. Still every bit of him wanted Robin to get up and flee so he could give chase. The moment that happened, he knew full well the instinct that would switch on.
→: Robin just let his eyes get a little bigger and without thinking twice he rolled off of the hammock. He stumbled a little upon landing but once he scrambled back up to his feet he took off like a bat out of hell. He knew that Habe would have no choice but to chase him, he wouldn't be able to stop himself.
→: Trying his best, Haben stayed still, fingers grinding into the ground where he'd been dumped by the sudden jolt of movement. His restraint didn't last long, and the build up made the animal in him flare into action. He wanted to let out a snarl, but his human throat couldn't handle the ferocity behind the sound. His legs tightened, launching him into chase.
→: Robin was just running as fast as his bare feet could take him. Part of his brain realized it was a game and that he was in no real danger but once Haben was chasing him the fear kicked in, leaving the scent in a trail behind him. The fear was genuine, caused by years of being chased and tormented by the others.
→: Feeling his muscles work and carry him closer to Robin and that delicious blend of fear and excitement that shot straight through his body, warming his stomach. He wanted to eat Robin, devour him, tear him apart. Leaping forward to quickly, he misjudged the distance and fell. But he wasn't down for long, and soon he was nipping at Robin's heels, leaping again and snagging his ankle.
→: Robin let out a yelp as the ground rushed up to meet him. His forearms hit first and then his head hit his hands and he struggled to wiggle away from him. He dug his fingers into the ground and tried to pull out from beneath Haben.
→: The struggle made him loose it. Hand over hand, he pulled Robin towards him with merciless rhythm, as if Robin wasn't even trying to get away. His blood fueled his strength, and it lengthened his fingernails so that they hardened, becoming clawlike, digging into Robin's stomach.
→: Robin whimpered and he tried harder to scramble away but he couldn't make it. "Haben" he brought his hands up to try and pull the lion's hands away from him.
→: His name made almost no sense to him, but he let up on Robin's stomach. The dagger-sharp claws had barely punctured through the shirt and skin, but Haben could still smell blood. "Take you clothes off, now. Hurry." Or Haben was going to rip them off. But he barely gave Robin any space to comply, licking and kissing his neck before he grappled with his arms to flip him over onto his stomach.
→: Trying his best to get his pants off, he tugged at the belt to try and get it open so he could take his pants off but he couldn't get them open before Habe flipped him over. His shirt was already open and he tried to shrug out of it and his vest.
→: Robin's state of undress didn't matter, because Haben's hands were already tearing at his clothes. Hooking his fingers around the waist, Haben jerked the seam apart. "Robin," he growled, and his familiar, soft voice was replaced with a rolling purr. It was best that Robin couldn't see him, because his body was shifting, changing and bending.
→: Robin was whimpering and wiggling around but he had stopped trying to get away. Some of the fear had been replaced by excitement but not all of it. His own beast was floating inside of him, threatening to spill over the edge.
→: The heat and aura was undeniable. Haben's tongue, rough now lapped over the skin between Robin's shoulder blades. His increased mass pressed down on the small body, sleek fur smoothing over soft skin. Haben was losing himself in the gold of his lion, mixing desire with hunger.
→: The softness of the fur turned his whimpers into a moan and his own hands started to elongate into claws. "Habeb, Haben." He panted, his hips lifting to push back against the lion's body.
→: That snap of energy, Robin's wolf, made Haben rumble with anticipation. He could feel his tufted tail lashing and he knew the shift was complete because that was always the last part. Pushing his cheek and muzzle against Robin's neck, his now massive paws slid down Robin's arms, pinning him even more solidly. If he was going to shift, Robin was going to do it beneath Haben, connected to him. His haunches lowered, and his instincts carried him forward, taking what Robin's hips offered and sliding inside of him harshly.
→: Robin screamed out, not entirely ready for it. A growl tore out of his throat then and the shift started to push forward a little more as his teeth turned to fangs and his fingers even more into claws.
→: Somewhere in Haben's consciousness, he knew not to bite, even though his teeth ached to feel it. His tail curled in anxious loops, and his claws dug into the earth. The scream was nothing but exhilerating.
→: Robin groaned and his body convulsed and the shift completely took hold. Everything started changing and he sprouted dark black fur as his body shifted. He never oonce pushed Haben out of him though.
→: As soon as he knew Robin's body could handle it, he grabbed hold of the scruff of his neck with his teeth and drove into him. The act was mostly pure mating, animalistic, and raw. But Haben was present this time, not utterly lost. Robin was right, no one else was privy to this part of him. He came far too quickly, but didn't have the drive to hold back.
→: Robin, once in wolf form, was pushing his hips back, thrusting against his lover until he came too. His claws were dug deep into the dirt for leverage and he kept moving as much as he could, as long as he could until he was finished.
→: As his movements slowed, he stayed pressed inside, the sensation of terror gone from the moment and intimacy taking its place. The smell of it was maddeningly good, earth and sex and wolf. Clamping down just a bit more ferociously before he released Robin from his grip, Haben exhaled hot breath over Robin's back.
→: Robin didn't move. He didn't try to pull away as he laid there pinned beneath his lover's body. He was content to stay there all night if he needed to.
→: Not having any biological need to stay together, given Haben was a cat, he let him up rather quickly, pacing around in a circle before rolling over onto his back, legs up in the air.
→: Robin got up off of the ground and shook himself off before turning to look at the cat on his back. Running over to him, he licked the lion's face.
→: A padded paw came up to bat hard against the wolf's muzzle, more playful than injurious. After a moment, he stood up, loping into the treeline.
→: Robin took off after him and he started nipping at the lion's tail. But Robin was easily distracted and when a butterfly went fluttering by he took off after it instead of after Haben.
→: Haben did not like that lack of attention, and he turned quickly to stalk after Robin. Disappearing behind the brush, Haben went as stealth as he could, staying downwind and crouching low. His feet were silent and his breathing slowed until he could get as close to Robin without him noticing as posible.
→: Robin was nipping at the butterfly, just running along after the little thing. When he got up to it he would jump and try to bite it but it wouild flutter right away.
→: Erupting from his hiding spot, Haben stretched out his forepaws and tackled Robin. It had been a long time since they'd been like this together, and it was relieving to play.
→: can you resend last said?
→: →: Erupting from his hiding spot, Haben stretched out his forepaws and tackled Robin. It had been a long time since they'd been like this together, and it was relieving to play.
→: When he hit the ground, Robin rolled and he tried to put Haben off of him. It was fun to play with someone in this form and it wasn't very often that he got the opportunity to do it.
→: Haben let it happen, his dominance played out with his hunger quenched. Tail lashing back and forth, he snapped meaninglessly at Robin's face. After awhile, Haben trotted off to hunt, letting Robin decide if he would follow.
