Ted was bored in class, as he often was, staring out the window to his right and daydreaming about the beautiful spring day outside. History of Magic was always his class for daydreaming, rife with homesickness for summer and the green hills of Limerick, where he could spend the whole day outside without any stuffy lectures from beyond the grave to worry about.

He sighed softly, chin propped up on his palm as he stared out the window, entirely oblivious not only to Binn's lecture, but also everything else that was going on in the classroom around him.

History of Magic was never a time to actually sit and pay attention. It may as well have been a not-pay-attention-and-write-notes-to-everyone-in-the-class study. That was how Andromeda looked at it, at least. So she sat in class, writing little notes to her sisters about how the octopus didn't like ranch dressing on Wednesdays because the weather was too sunny with a chance of meatballs through memos to their other classes. Once they had gotten utterly sick of her, refusing to respond, Andromeda sighed frustratedly, not bothering to hide her disinterest in the subject.

So she wrote a little note on a piece of paper and threw it at the back of Ted Tonks's head, who just so happened to be sitting right in front of her. Normally, she sat in front of him, but she needed a chance every so often. And her last table mate had kicked her out.

Ghosts named Binns dance with the leprechauns on Saturdays, but only on Saturdays because the House Elves are napping precariously with the turtles.

Ted jumped when the piece of parchment struck the back of his head. Who would be passing him notes, anyway? He frowned to himself as he unfolded it, and then frowned even deeper as he read what it said.

Andromeda. Of course. Only she would come up with something so insane.

Ted used to struggle over these notes, trying for entire periods to decode them, only to realize in the end there was no hidden message, no secret she was trying to communicate.

She was just batshit.

Ted rolled his eyes and turned around to flash a good natured smile at her, a little wry as he crumpled up the note and tucked it into his bag.

Suffice to say, however, that did not satisfy her boredom. Andromeda stared into the back of Ted's head without meaning to, counting the hairs that stuck up on the back of his neck. It was a habit she had. She liked to see when people were slightly uncomfortable and then notice something that had come because of it. Like blushing. She loved when people blushed because she liked to count the splotchy red marks it left. It wasn't not normal, she thought, at least.

That bored her quickly, and Andromeda sighed loudly, not even hiding her dislike to this class.

She wrote on another piece of parchment, tapping it with her pen as she drew a picture of herself, killing herself with a giant arrow because of her extreme boredom.

On the same sheet, she wrote Ted another note.

I see the back of your head today. I think it's opposite day.

	Can't be, Ted wrote back after getting her note. He didn't know why he encouraged her really, except for it's History of Magic and being blown to smithereens by an angry pureblood's got to be at least as interesting as goblin wars of 1818. My pants are on straight. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	That makes you bloody insane, she wrote. To be completely honest, the only thing that Andromeda thought was hysterical about her whole family was the whole incest rumor. Everything else was disgusting, in her opinion. Andromeda called herself a Black, but she really showed no interest in keeping the family name proudly like she once did. 	Andromeda was the first one out of her seat, anxious for class to get out from the start. Luckily, she had no more classes after this.
