Lyla Reed Appearance Short and petite with long dark hair and dark eyes. Adorable is the best word to describe Lyla and she knows it, too. She'll tell you, herself, that she's cute as a button and she definitely knows how to use her appearance to her own advantage when she needs to. She stands about 5'2 with a slim, dancers frame, weighing around 120lbs. She's small-boned and toned, but not really muscular and she moves with the grace you'd expect from someone who's had a lifetime of ballet lessons. Personality Bright and bubbly, Lyla is friendly to pretty much everyone she meets. She's a natural flirt, though it's almost entirely innocent. Lyla is that typical cheery type that makes you want to stab her. She's almost always bright and bubbling, even at five o' clock in the morning. She's a total morning person, up at the crack of dawn every day and looking as happy and cheerful as if she'd been up for hours. She's so bubbly, you almost want to shoot her some days. It's really kind of disturbing. She's loyal to her family, adoring her sisters and brother more than anything, and while she has more casual acquaintances than true friends, she's fiercely loyal to them, too. She'll punch someone she thinks is hurting her friends without a second thought and she isn't afraid to show people that even though she may be bubbly, she has a fierce temper when it comes to the people she loves being hurt. She can be hopelessly naive about people, too. It goes along with that whole loyalty thing, but once Lyla decides to believe in you, she has a hard time believing you can do any wrong. She'll stand by your side until the end, even if she really shouldn't, and she's the last one to realize someone she's chosen to trust isn't good for her. Which is a shame, because she gives that trust away far too easily. History Lyla Marie Reed was born the second youngest of five children (four of whom were girls!) in 1988 and she's always been a little bit spoiled. She loved her siblings to pieces and she loves that she comes from a fairly large family, because even if they sometimes got on each other's nerves, she never had to worry about being lonely. She had a perfectly ordinary childhood - dance lessons and birthday parties, and had she gone to a "normal" school, there would have been boys and cheerleading and all the things every normal teenage girl dreams of doing. As it was, though, she received her Hogwarts letter on her eleventh birthday, learning that she was, indeed, magical. While Hogwarts doesn't have cheerleading, though, it does have boys and a lot of other similar social dynamics to a regular school. She was quickly sorted into Hufflepuff, for her value of honesty and hard work and probably a little bit for her friendly, bubbly personality. She was thrilled when her younger sister Brooke received a Hogwarts letter, too, on her eleventh birthday. The two have been pretty much inseparable for most of their lives and Lyla couldn't picture going off to school without her baby sister who also happened to be her best friend. Being sorted into the same house was great, too, because it meant sharing a room and continuing the closeness they've always shared. Lyla has had a pretty happy time at Hogwarts. She's had her share of casual boyfriends, though she's a romantic at heart and still looking for THE guy. This isn't something she focuses on or thinks about often, though. There's plenty of time for settling down and figuring out what she wants to do and be. Right now, she's just enjoying her youth.
