On Proverbs
Let's play a game.
Let's find out how many proverbs we all can come up with. It doesn't matter how obscure, weird or whatever. Just comment here with whatever you think of, whenever you think of it.
Here are a few to start you off:

'Tis better to remain silent and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.

The closer you get to the light, the longer your shadow grows.

Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for a lifetime.

When men make plans, the gods laugh.

Hoho, proverbs and me ... we go hand-in-hand.

Great minds think alike
A miss is as good as a mile
A friend in need is a friend indeed
A rolling stone gathers no moss
A stitch in time saves nine
Better late than never
Birds of a feather flocked together
EMPTY VESSELS MAKE THE MOST NOISE
Where there's a will there's a way
Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
Once bitten twice shy
Faint hearts never won fair ladies
Penny wise pound foolish
An apple a day keeps the doctor away
Spare the rod and spoil the child
