ooc: this is a post to describe addie's life from hogwarts afterwards. :bic

Addison was one of the biggest flirts of her year when she was in Hogwarts. She got quite a reputation for being a tease and never actually following through. She had several boyfriends, but they always ended when Addison got bored of them. She dated several Quidditch players, mainly on other teams, but never anyone serious. The only one who was remotely serious was [Desmond?], who she dated for a few months. He was a year older than her and, in her mind, far too serious towards the end of their relationship for her to want to pursue anything--she was barely seventeen! That was far too young for her.

Once she graduated Hogwarts, she began writing articles for the Daily Prophet. As she was a freelance writer, she never had many good stories, except for one that she followed very intensely--a series of articles regarding the financial situation of the wizarding world in France. This is how she met and fell in love with her would-be husband, Guy Leveque, who was the International Liaison between the French and British Ministries of Magic. She discussed many of the financial issues of France with him, and, over time and many coffee dates, the two fell in love. After she finished writing the series, she moved to a small flat in Paris with Guy and the two got married when she was 21, in 1996. She quit writing for the Prophet shortly after they got married.

Around the time she stopped writing for the Prophet, she ran into Pius Thicknesse at the headquarters for the newspaper, who had already been Imperiused. She was questioned intensely by him for marrying a Muggleborn wizard, and her husband got taken into questioning about his magical heritage. The morning that Harry Potter infiltrated the Ministry to steal the locket from Umbridge, she was sitting outside the Wizengamot courts with her husband, awaiting his trial. When Harry-as-Yaxley in disguise came out and told them to flee, Addison and Guy left London for Paris at once, using Guy's best friend from Beauxbatons as their Secret Keeper. Thicknesse sent Death Eaters to kill Guy's family and best friend; once the Fidelius Charm ended, they headed to the Leveque flat and killed Guy and seriously tortured Addison using the Cruciatus curse, along with Sectumsempra and other harmful curses.

Addison spent months in St. Mungo's recovering, with enchantments being cast over her daily to restore her to health from the serious magical damage that her nervous system had incurred. She was kept in a magical sleep for months; when she woke up, she discovered that her husband and his entire family had been murdered, and she was devastated. The Second War was over when she awoke. She stayed in the flat her and Guy owned in Kensington, feeling lost and lonely in a large three-bedroom flat that only she occupied. For months she only left her flat to buy necessities, refusing to leave. Her older brother, Aiden, finally convinced her to get a job at the Ministry of Magic, who needed another employee in the Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee.

It was hard for Addison to reenter the Ministry of Magic, after what had happened the last time she had been there, but she went straight to Level Three and applied for the job. She got it instantly, and became close with the only other member of the department, Thomas Archibald, who was a bit senile and cooky, but he was incredibly kind to her.

She didn't start dating until she was 30, nine years after she got married and seven years after Guy was killed. Most of the dates she went on were failed dates--either they were too young, or they were just not interesting to her.

After the Minister announced that there would be an election for a new Minister, she immediately became interested in the idea. When the final candidates were announced, she applied for a job with the Bristow campaign, who she believed in immensely because one--she was all for equal rights after what had happened to her husband, and two--she refused to vote for Thicknesse, even if he had been Imperiused when all of the horrible things happened to her. She became friends with Parker, the speech writer for the campaign, and saw her as sort of a younger sister--she had never had one.

She is looking for someone to live in her flat with her now.
