Biography: Silas Ioannidis
Silas was originally from Greece. He's an old vampire, a part of the coven that was traveling on the ship.

As a human he was born in 352 BCE in ancient Greece (which makes him about 2361 years old as a vampire including his brief time as a human). He once campaigned with Alexander the Great during his conquest to expand the empire. When Alexander died in 323 BCE Silas moved away from military service and fell in with Lysandra. She turned him into a vampire that same year and they traveled together happily for some time.

When Lysandra died Silas made a vampire to keep as a companion. This vampire, Viola Winter later left him to seek her own fortune. He made another to replace her, but she (Cassandra) later killed herself by walking into the sun.

In 1556 he made Camilla as a traveling companion and has always been close with her. He turned her to a vampire after a brief and torrid affair in Camilla's homeland of Italy. He dotes on her and spoils her rotten. He sometimes struggles with her jealousy over Alexis (which is a convoluted plan he has, thinking he can gift Alexis to his girl Camilla).

He didn't particularly like the code that Victor lived by (basically not feeding off humans) and when the time came for the split (over the child vampire one of the others made) he sided with Euphemia and the others and remained in the world at large when Victor returned to the island at Rapithwin's request.

One evening at an American bar looking for something to eat he met Alexis. She was interesting to him in their conversation together and he decided not to eat her. Over the next few weeks he developed a close relationship with her and was the one who recommended her to the group as a daytime protector. Eventually he revealed his purpose to her and that he was a vampire. She was interested more than scared and he felt she would make an amazing new consort. He promised he would turn her one day, but that day never came.

Silas is a serious learner, devoted to books. He haunts libraries at night since he is so often traveling and doesn't have a home to keep his own library. He enjoys warfare but doesn't participate anymore. He has a tendency to make female vampires as companions and they are usually quite different in temperament and behavior from him; he likes the excitement that their uniqueness brings and enjoys exploring things from their unique perspective.

Biography: Alexis Wyatt
Alexis, more commonly known as Lex, is the assistant to the small group of vampires on the ship. She kept them protected and safe during the day with the promise of being turned into a vampire eventually. She met the group through Silas who found her interesting enough not to drink for dinner one night.

Before her life with the vampires she had been a security consultant and former police officer. She kept in prime physical condition because of her job and could handle a gun. Her personal life was always a step away from disaster; it wasn't a hard decision for her to leave life behind and devote herself to the vampires she served.

She was married once and quickly divorced. She hadn't been terribly interested in sex before her marriage and finding herself in bed with a man led to a quick realization. Lex was actually a lesbian and not even remotely interested in sex with men. After what she considered a failure she threw herself back into her work and didn't leave herself time to date.

She died during the boat crash and is unpleasantly surprised to find herself a ghost wandering the island. She has no desire to pass on given her unfulfilled dream of life immortal and is trying to find someone, anyone who will help her.

Biography: Rachel Parrish
Rachel Parrish is the fourth born of Edwin and Magnolia and the older twin. Rachel doesn't like being compared to her twin, but she can't imagine life without her. She is the less moral of the two, following her wants more than her upbringing. Rachel (and her sister) studied dance from a young age and both girls showed an aptitude and talent for it. They stuck with it and rather than going to college or normal high school both girls studied at a dancing academy and became professional dancers upon their graduation at age 18. Rachel studied more forms of dance than her sister, differentiating into other branches, like ballroom, jazz, tap, etc. She took more to flamenco than any other form and often takes opportunities to dance it when she can get away from ballet.

It was Ingrid's idea after a few years at an American ballet company to travel Europe and work stints as guest dancers (something of an excuse to go spend time in foreign pastures and party like rock stars. Whether or not Renee knows it, Rachel has been having an on again, off again affair with her older sister's husband Erick Vanderbilt. Rachel was more than happy to come home under the guise of helping Paul and Amelia, in order to renew her secret relationship with Erick. She didn't really want to go on this vacation but eventually decided to follow her sister to get her to stop nagging.

Biography: Ingrid Parrish
She is the fifth born child of the rich and esteemed Edwin and Magnolia Parrish. Ingrid was born fourteen minutes after her twin sister Rachel. She doesn't mind being compared to sister as much. She's a little more moral of the two, though she's still self obsessed. She doesn't remember who decided to dance first, but both girls jumped into and discovered a mutual talent for it. Ingrid was particularly smitten with ballet; she was decidedly more gifted than her sister. Upon graduation from a special dance academy (instead of going to high school, or private school) she was immediately taken up by a prestigious American ballet company. She had more than one offer, but she took the best.

After a few years she decided she wanted to go to Europe, spend a few years traveling and being a ridiculously rich party girl. She used the excuse of dancing with foreign companies to expand her repertoire. She was delighted when her sister agreed to come with her. She wasn't really upset about coming back to New York to help her brother and niece. She saw it as an opportunity to return home and party in her old stomping grounds, while still looking like a good sister. After getting bored of this gig Ingrid booked some tickets on the Hnakra to go for a cruise and goaded her sister into coming.

Biography: Isabelle Hughes
A photographer from Canada. Her past has been nothing if rocky. She was originally from America, but her mother fled to Canada with her in hopes of a better life for her child (there was abuse at home from a string of bad decisions, boyfriends, and step-dads).

She met Corwin in London, a once in a lifetime trip for the former, self-proclaimed white-trash girl. It was whirlwind romance ended quickly by his indiscretions. Isabelle brushed it off, returned home, and focused again on her career as a photographer and writer (doing op-ed pieces for newspapers and magazines). Isabelle hadn't taken a vacation in years and was getting antsy for an escape from the ordinary when Corwin called her again with an offer. She doubts Corwin Grave's intentions are genuine, but the idea of traveling is more appealing. She is going to board the Hnakra with him under the guise of taking photographs of the high-profile guests.

Biography: Asher Wilmont
He didn't have an easy childhood. His mother (Dinah of the Enkeli Everto) abandoned him to his father shortly after his birth (since she was from the island and could not stay on the mainland with him). Asher grew up without ever knowing who his mother was or that he had magical abilities. His father couldn't handle being a single parent and dumped Asher with his senile grandparents, who he often had to care for; it was an awful responsibility for someone so young. He was in and out of school whenever his grandparents were ill and fell behind in class often.

He was pushed through the system and had a difficult time after graduating. He took any job he could to support his ailing grandparents. When they died he decided to change his life. He devoted the next few years of his life to studying and bettering himself. He became something of a self-made man who managed to finally get into college and graduate near the top of his class after only three years of study. He found his solace in books and his love of learning a refreshing life. He decided to become a lawyer, finding that he had immense skill at putting together persuasive arguments and convincing others to his point of view. He has never lost a case. After recently winning a serious victory against all odds he is taking a well deserved vacation.

Biography: Corwin Graves
Freelance photographer and recent divorcee. Corwin has never quite fit in anywhere. He is a lone wolf of sorts. He became so after growing up in a household with a cold father and drunk mother. His parents divorced and his mother left him, along with his sister to their father who did nothing to raise them. He does not keep in touch with his sister; he doesn't speak of his family at all. He left Germany after the death of his high school sweet heart Bridget in a tragic accident.

He met Isabelle in London, pursuing photography. They had a peculiar romance and he cheated on her with a book editor whom he later married. His marriage to her, Megan, didn't work out because she miscarried after becoming pregnant against his wishes. The ensuing rage of emotions caused a growing rift in which he had an affair with her assistant (a common pattern in his love life). She finally chose to leave him. He was contacted for a job involving photographs on the Hnakra. He thought he'd invite Isabelle along for kicks and was surprised when she actually agreed to come along.

He has never been up for a "man of the year" award.

Biography: Dane Landon
Dane is Deryk Landon's older brother. He's working on the boat to pay for an indiscretion in Atlantic City that he doesn't like to talk about. He has gambling debts that would make Bill Gates blush. He believes in shortcuts in all things (which is perhaps why most of his paychecks have been lost in AC). He carries a gun in case the loan sharks come for him. He has fired it exactly four times (while not at the range).

His hair has a personality all its own.

Biography: Dahlia Benette
Dahlia has been reincarnated more times than she cares to admit. She remembers every single life and often seems crazy or queer, just by virtue of the things she knows (and shouldn't know). She is completely aware about Insula De Virsta and has longed to return home for many lifetimes. She left after the death of her mother and when she learned that her father was Levi of the Enkeli Everto (which is why her Kantele abilities are skewed and she is gifted with a serious level of persuasion). She blamed him for her mother's death and even more so for not being around when she was growing up. Her mother, Roma, insisted that Levi had nothing to do with the cause of her death (stating so upon her death bed).

Dahlia promised herself to never forget, without knowing how to properly control her Enkeli abilities she practically cursed herself with her conviction to remember what had happened between Roma and Levi. She refuses to be called by her first name, which was also a gift from Levi.

Biography: Sven Ford
Sven has been a ship captain for most of his life, only taking up posts on cruise ships in recent years to satisfy Colter's worries about violence on the high seas. Before then he'd been something of a pirate, careful to sail in international waters with his vicious friends. He claims to never have resorted to murder and not associating with those who did (this resulting from a few bad experiences in his youth). This however is a lie, something to protect himself from his unfortunate past as a murdering plunderer in his young adult years.

Sven has always felt at home on the ocean, even though he's not as comfortable running the helm of the cruise ship, the Hnakra.
