Cletus Kasady is dead, and the Carnage Symbiote was nowhere to be found until recently. Severely weakened from it's last battle against Agent Venom and SHIELD, the Carnage Symbiote retreated to recover. Agent Venom was released into the city to locate it and capture it.
1. Carnage Symbiote bonds with a temporary host; a waitress at a diner. It lays low while attached to her in order to speed it's recovery.
2. Peter contacts Ben Parker to get his help on tracking down the Carnage Symbiote.
