Austin David Kane was born on November 1, 1989 to Caroline Rousseau and Rhys Michael Kane, the second of six children. It was clear from a young age that Austin was meant to be on stage; when he was just a few days shy of his third birthday, he put on a "show" for his parents and then three siblings, singing nonsensically and dancing around. It was comical at the time, but his parents knew from then on that he would be a performer of sorts. Ever since he was seven, he participated in community theatre, often cast in shows as the lead child role.

When he began elementary school, Austin's parents expected him to be just an average student, more focused on theatre than his studies, but he proved them wrong: he was, in fact, an excellent student, and he would have skipped two grades if his teachers didn't say that he wasn't prepared socially. A typical afternoon consisted of homework and rehearsals, with barely any time in between for him to just be a normal kid. But his serious attitude towards theatre became much more free-spirited as he entered junior high, finally ready to open up to his peers. It was during 7th grade that Austin had his first girlfriend, Holly, who he dated for just over two months before they broke up, partially because they didn't do anything together, and partially because whenever Holly wanted to do something, Austin was at rehearsal.

Austin's first year of high school proved to be challenging. He was not only a theatre person, but he was also in choir, and he was often labeled as gay, something he proved wrong time and time again by having a new girlfriend almost every three months. He could only be a gentleman, though, and never treated girls badly; in fact, he is still friends with all of his exes. His freshman year may have been decidedly tough, but he still landed roles in all three performances; the Fall play, the Winter one acts, and the Spring musical, something never accomplished by a freshman before.

Now it is Austin's senior year and he's been getting lead roles in every performance since his sophomore year, something that he is exceedingly proud of. He works well with the techies, as well, lending a hand whenever he can. The directors adore him, and the spring musical is fast approaching; the lead role is certain to be his, but all of his leading ladies have graduated. Who will it be this year?

• Austin David Kane, lovingly referred to as Shining Star or Lover Boy, depending on who you're talking to.
• 18; November 1, 1989.
• Parents are Caroline Rousseau and Rhys Michael Kane. Caroline is an interior designer, and Rhys is a musician/up-and-coming film director.
• Austin has four siblings: Miranda, 22, Nicholas, 17, Adelina and Camilla, 13, and Brett, 11.
• 5'10", 155 lbs.
• Single... For now.
• His one true passion is theatre, although he has found the time between school and rehearsals to join the soccer team.
• He is an active member in choir, usually the one that the director sends to recruit incoming freshmen guys. He is generally a tenor, but can crank out a bass range if necessary.
• He might seem like a total nerd, but he can be an athlete like the best of them. He enjoys playing basketball and baseball, and also loves playing video games.
• Has a bit of an obsession with ninjas and Japan. Favorite food is sushi.
• Is actually a very good student. Number 4 of his class.
• Is nothing but a gentleman to all his female friends. He is often portrayed as a womanizer, but he actually hates guys who are jerks. This kind of fuels the homosexual rumor, but he knows that if he believes himself, than that's what matters.
• Has been in 20 plays and 10 musicals to date. His absolute favorite role was The Phantom in Phantom of the Opera.
• His favorite holiday is Halloween. Mainly because he finds it interesting to put on a costume and assume a different identity for one day.
• He has already recieved a partial scholarship to Julliard in New York, but he's still keeping his options open. He would love to go to University of Illinois for their amazing a cappella groups, too.
• Is very mellow and outgoing when he's not busy with theatre. If you need a shoulder to cry on, he's your man. He might not be amazing at giving advice, but he's pretty good at listening.
• Is essentially a bottomless pit. He is always hungry, and could basically eat anything that was remotely edible.
• Has two dogs named Phoenix and Bella. He wasn't very creative with pet names when he was younger, so he had his mother name them. (He was going to call them Max and Sandy.)
• Has been given the reputation of "Prince Charming," something that he finds quite irritating at times.
