I don't think I've ever felt so irritable. I dislike exams for one reason - not necessarily my preparation for them, as I'm confident I'll do well on all of them, but my parent's nagging done in an uniquely Asian fashion. Needless to say, teachers and certain administrators are beginning to imitate them.

As for everything else that's been going on lately, all I can say is: ridiculous. Really, really quite ridiculous.

Recent events have deeply saddened me, as I am sure it has done to most of us, to some degree or another. I see that for some, they may cause them to question their beliefs. Nonetheless, I find myself clinging to them, going back to read more of the Pali Canon. I do find these matters easier to contemplate to oneself rather than discuss them - I think the easiness will come at a later time.

I am happy to announce the Third Annual 'Dream House' Offer, a period in the end of the year in which I design whatever is requested to me, for no fee whatsoever. Previous works, which some of you may have saw, were based on the following: The Hobbit, Star Trek, The Jetsons, Disney Princesses + other characters and a modern adobe mansion.

This year I will taking two requests, mostly on a first come, first serve basis, as long as they're reasonable . It will come with detailed floor plans, as well as coloured drawings of the exterior and interior. However some rooms I will not design that were previously suggested to me: "BDSM" chambers or anything extremely sexual or kinky, cult rooms, etc. I don't necessarily mind encorporating Greek statues of the idealized human form, but these have been deemed pornography by certain authority figures.

Chieh-lun, Su's father, opened an importing service from East Asia to Europe, as well as the States. The business specializes in rare, Japanese pens and pencils by such makers as Ohto, Pilot, Uni-ball and others, and such a background is demonstrated by Su Li's pencil case. A successful business that brings in moderate profit, Su can afford some of the luxuries in life, one being attendance to the prodigious Hogwarts, a school in which her family had never attended before.

SEXUAL ORIENTATION: Heterosexual.
APPEARANCE:: While Su is not lacking in her physical appearance, the Chinese/Korean mix is by no means the beauty queen of Hogwarts. Stick, pitch black hair that ends at her thigh is one of her trademark attributes, something that she always keeps in silky smooth condition. Defined arch eyebrows rise above dark brown eyes, which are often pink around the edges due to lack of sleep. She very rarely makes up her face with foundation, rouge and such, keeping her appearance natural and her complexion good enough. Slight eye bags protrude at the bottom, occasionally giving her a very haggard appearance during particularly rough times. However, when she has garnered at least eight hours of sleep, they make her seem oddly cute.

Unlike most Asians, Su manages to stand a little above average height at five feet, seven inches, as well as a curvaceous body. Her limbs are slender, her skin kept impeccably white, giving off the honest appearance of someone that does not enjoy athletic pursuits at the least. Her dress is unimaginative, but remains professional. Skirts are the bane of existence, and thus one of her displeasures at attending the school. Smiling, surprisingly, comes rather easily; her pink lips do manage to quirk up in corners, her eyes become half-moons, which does her appearance a little favor here and there.
PLAYED-BY: Jeon Ji-Hyun

PERSONALITY: An aspiring architect, Su combines the better of two worlds, the one of practical mathematics and the other in arts. Therefore, her drawing skills are very, very good for drafting and her perception on buildings is packed full of vocabulary such as dormer and lintel. Rather than homework, Su dedicates herself the next Frank Lloyd Wright, someone who can change the direction of buildings, someone who can ultimately contribute to society through her pursuits. While she can very well draw the façade of Hogwarts, as well as detailed floor plans, Su would stress to any stranger that there is much, much more to architecture than calculations and a pencil sliding against a transparent ruler. The last thing she would ever become is a hack that leeches off the ideas of others. She'd much rather have a pen, piece of paper and ideas rather than be unhappy with her pockets stuffed with bills.

Passion is one of the main emotions that drive Su. Passionate about architecture, passionate about her political beliefs, passionate about succeeding. Besides those three, one could say that Su is indifferent, probably due to the fact she shows little interest in other realms. A die-hard socialist, her stubbornness on these issues will probably never lead her down the path of another philosophy. Her socialism derives from her compassion towards the less fortunate, besides the fact that her Korean mother lived through excruciating moments of poverty. This all leads Su to be politically aware of these problems that still fester on first-world countries like Great Britain, and it's a fact that infuriates her like no other. Her liberalism, coupled with her Buddhist beliefs, also leads her to be a bit of an environmentalist and she strives to make her own architecture style one that conserves resources rather than wastes them.

Although architecture comes before friends and any forms of socializing, it can not be said that Su is unfriendly. It's just that, at first impression, she appears terribly engrossed with what she is doing and oblivious to whatever else is going on, including other people's chit-chat. However, strong ties of friendship around Su constantly form. Her philosophy towards keeping and maintaining friends, or any other relationship for that matter, is that actions, rather than words, are crucial. Doing multiple favors for her friends out of generosity is not an uncommon scenario for the Asian girl. Giving rather than receiving is one of her ultimate mottos. Patience is also something Su has a great deal of, she has the capability to wait a long time for her friend's to come around to her, when such problems occur.

With that said, pretty words are also something that Su is incapable of saying without them being true. Su is awful at flattery, stretching the truth, or simply at conducting 'small talk'. Telling someone the truth, on the other hand, is what she is good at. A bit too good at, apparently. There are moments in which Su, seemingly without fear, will call people out on their comments, whether outright false, a white lie, or just something outright obscene. This habit of hers can create awkward moments for the victim of brunt, and can also make her seem small. However, these moments are by no means on the snarky or bitchy side, but simply informative.

Ambition is one of Su's most notable qualities and some might say that her personality points to a more Slytherin tendency, but others are sure to disagree. For one thing, Su has no cunning, no sneaky bone in her, and is surely neither shrewd nor perceptive when handling people. Her strengths lie in base intellect, logic and honesty, as well as a side that appreciates aesthetic, but only when that aesthetic also has practical purpose.
DEFINING CHARACTERISITICS: A Buddhist from birth, Su has no problem with correcting people on their misconceptions, and go on a tangent that includes something like Buddhism isn't all about "uhhmmmmmm," mediation and getting along with everyone. These tirades are usually conducted in an unusually kind and patient fashion, due to the fact that Su rarely unmasks herself to reveal her annoyance, unless the issue belongs in the politics realm of her mind. There's little humor with Su as well, and she is rather slow at catching onto one of those witty jokes people like so much. She's more of a slapstick humor girl. She also has a peculiar love of calligraphy and can write her English letters in different scripts, while often writing with fountain pens, although rarely does she writes notes in anything but her 0.3 mm black gel ink pen.

LIKES: Brunelleschi, Modern Architecture, Europa's Gate, The Seven Wonders of the World, Fresh Apple Scents, Scandinavian socialism, giving relatively expensive and thoughtful gifts, Drafting, Analyzing buildings, Buddhism, Calculus, Statistics, Practicality, Organization, Classical Music, Vegetarianism, Calligraphy, Writing tools.
DISLIKES: Snobs, Liars, John D. Rockefeller, Superficiality, Athletics, Techno Music, Colds, 'Artists' that 'paint' or in other words VANDALIZE buildings, bridges, etc, Boats, Airplanes, Crude jokes, The taste of meat.
INSIDE SCOOP:1.) Her parents do not want her to date anyone but an Asian man. Not that Su's had any particular success with the male sex, but she has had a couple of flings here and there, with boys whose ancestry was definitely not in that racial spectrum. However, due to the fact that she does not want her blood ties cut off from her parents anytime soon, she attempts to avoid the male sex at Hogwarts in general, which leads her to be viewed as a bit frigid.
2.) At home, Su's known to uncharacteristically watch soap operas, Asian or Western. And she loves them, although she'd never, ever admit it to anyone else unless her life is on the line. Although she believes there's something that lacks dignity in these drama-filled shows, she can't help but be drawn to them.

HISTORY: Li Chieh-Lun considered himself a lucky man when he met Kim Eun-hee, a young Korean secretary in West Yorkshire. After all, at that time, he was little other than an aspiring business man negotiating with suppliers, buying cheap warehouse space and clinging onto the little connections that he had. Chieh-lun and Eun-hee's relationship was not the classical fairytale, in fact, it was far from it. Years of hardship, plus the luck of being able to immigrate to Great Britain, made Eun-hee a strong girl with a bit of spunk and fun to her, in comparison to the relatively more submissive Chieh-lun. They had their spats, and became business partners before lovers. Eun-hee was a vital asset to the import company, as she had more of a backbone and was better with negotiating, while Su's father handled the details. As the business prospered, and the two realized that while the relationship wasn't what one called romantic, that they were simply a pair that could spend their lives together and be very happy with it.

After a spring marriage, Su Li was born roughly a year and a half after their union. An oddly chubby and happy child, Su became literally the apple of her parent's eye and was spoiled to the best of their ability. This did not mean that their parents were not already concerned with Su's future and her academic ability, like most Asian parents are. When she was three, her mother devoted a great amount of time to Su's reading and mathematical abilities before she was sent off a few years later to grade school to mingle with the more normal, less academically-obsessed children. At school, Su made a few friends despite initial oddities. Her parents decided during this period to focus their attention on one and only child, that being Su.

As Su grow older, she also discovered books, and with books came architecture. At that point in her life, she was at the elementary stages, simply deciphering between the different styles. While her parents were less than thrilled that she had set her sights out not to become a doctor, or perhaps a lawyer, they knew that she could be successful if she had a little push. That little push was Hogwarts College, one of the most well-known boarding schools in Great Britain. Although both of her parents realized that they would be very, very alone from now on, they did it because they believed in hard work and their child's future, not instant gratification.

Her years at Hogwarts started out with little bang for her. She felt oddly at home with these strangers, and she was eager to pursue her students and excel well, similarly to her Ravenclaw counterparts. However, she was different in the way she carried herself. Without a competitive streak in her bone, she helped many people with their homework within her house and in other houses. Studying architecture and learning how to draw properly was always the first and foremost in her mind. Not only was she seen as 'the girl who always draws,' Su became known for her uncanny, and often naïve, selflessness. Intelligence allowed her to do relatively well on her GCSE's, although the most notable grades of excellence came from history, art and math.

Whatever does the future hold for Su? Much, but while she does look forward in life, Su lives for the present, which seems to be mangled with discrimination and a dark outlook. She would be one of the least not to notice, but she doesn't consider herself a politician or one that acts upon such things. Cowardly as it may be, Su doesn't necessarily view politics as something she's meant to commit her life to. Rather, she is happy to be a follower of someone entirely more significant and capable than she is. Then, she will lend a helping hand. Otherwise, Su remains a normal schoolgirl, happily indulged in her own self-interests, aiding her friends at times of need, and, well, having fun while it lasts.

A-LEVELS: Art History, Art and Design, Mathematics (with Mechanics), Physics.
GCSE's: Art (A*), Chemistry(A), Classical Civilization (A*), English (A), English Literature (B), Latin (A), Maths (A*), Modern History (A*), Religion Studies (A*), Psychology (B), Physics (A)
EXTRACURRICULARS: Architectural (Head), Political, History.
SPORTS: Step Aerobics (Michelmas), Tai Chi (Lent), Badminton (Summer)
