home again - test scene [29 Oct 2012|12:19am]
So, Gabriel was finally back at the mansion.  Mom and Dad had called in and wrangled him back from his romp around Europe, much t his displeasure.  But it was alright, he guessed. This just meant that he could hang out with some cool mutants again.  He decided to raid the kitchen after letting his wings stretch with a mid-morning flight.  He was currently at the fridge, scoping out the cold treats.

Character Name: Gabriel Kenneth Worthington
Character LJ: archlocke
Physical Description: Athletic, blue eyes, blonde hair, 5'11", very lightweight due to hollow bones.
Age: Twenty Three
Birthday: December 1
PB:  Freddie Stroma

Abilities
Gabriel has white, feathery wings. His natural wings give him the ability to fly. They are super-humanly strong, easily capable of breaking a man's bones and tossing someone through a wall, and allow him to lift an additional 200 pounds. He has super-humanly sharp vision and hearing, and his eyes can withstand high-speed winds. His body is accustomed to low temperatures at high altitudes, and his lungs can breath easily even at full flight speed.  His body has developed a higher metabolism, lost all body fat and is more muscular, and his bones are hollow, allowing him to run faster and jump higher. Gabriel is at peak human levels which include his senses, strength, speed and reflexes.  He also possesses a blood-borne regenerative healing factor that enables him to heal at an extraordinary rate.

Psychic Arsenal:  Gabriel's psychic powers are condensed to only having the ability to create a wide range of weapons to wield in battle.  They act exactly like the Telekinetic Katana used by his mother.  They will short-circuit the nervous system, while slicing through almost any form of inorganic material.

Gabriel is an excellent martial artist and superb aerial combatant, having been trained by some of the X-Men's foremost combat specialists (his parents included).

Weaknesses and Flaws:
Although Gabriel has a healing factor, severe injuries such as broken bones and damaged internal organs are not immediately reparable and take time to heal.  Because the physic powers he inherited from his mother are condensed so finely into creating manifestations of weapons, he lacks any ability to use traditional telepathy or telekinesis.  Notably, the weapons he creates have proven unable to cut through mystical metals/fabrics and vibranium.  While he can create multiple weapons, creating too many at one time or continuously crafting one after the other within a short period of time becomes mentally exhausting, thus weakening them.  This can even temporarily disable his powers until he has time to rest.

Character Location:  Xavier's Institute
Alignment: Hero
Relatives: Warren Worthington III, Elizabeth (Braddock) Worthington, Elizabeth Lyta Worthington

History:
Gabriel Kenneth Worthington is the youngest of the faternal twins born to Warren Worthington and Betsy Braddock. Betsy's pregnancy completely unexpected, Warren proposed to Betsy after she found out that she was pregnant. Betsy said yes, and the two were married in a sort of shotgun (but fabulously executed wedding). Nine months later, Gabriel and his twin sister, Elizabeth Lyta Worthington, were delivered via c-section delivery, as it was discovered early on that both babies appeared to be growing wings in an ultrasound.

Gabriel, and Lyta, were raised around Xaviers, and grew up with the rest of the X-kids. Though Warren tried to groom both of his children to eventually go into business at Worthington, Gabriel was always more interested in other things. Both twins fought with the X-Men when they turned seventeen, though Gabriel took a break to explore his wild side and party around.  He was very much the wild child of the pair.

About a year ago, Warren sent Lyta oversees to England to work on a business deal with Worthington's London branch. Wanting Gabriel to get a better feel for things, Warren sent him with her, though Lyta handled more things on the business end than Gabriel. The business deal finally closed, but Gabriel stayed in London to entertain a few people he'd met while Lyta returned to Xavier's.  After being contacted by his parents, he finally returned to the states and to Xavier's.

How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?  He's going to show up at the X-Mansion to be with the X-Men and his sister.
What are you planning to do with this character?  Eventually a good Sinister plot, but mostly just X-Men things.  Possibly movement to other places.
What do you want to see happen with this character? Mainly just plots and social things.
