[Current Music |Shiver- Maroon 5]

These past few days have been really, really fun. There was the concert Saturday, then Sunday I visited James at work and he took his half hour break, so we got to see each other a little bit then. Yesterday was even better though, in spanish I decided I wanted more of that delicious cheesy thin crust pizza, and Liza wanted ice cream. So we decided to compromise and go to Friendly's, since we did Palio's last week. So after school she, James, George and I all went, and George lectured us on the safety of seatbelts, and Liza's mind became entremely dirty and there was talk of the "fat kid at the help desk" who came to the brilliant conclusion: it wouldn't be rape if they just said yes.
We decided we didn't want to go home yet, so we went to the mall and I bought some more Sims add-ons haha, and we went to Brookestone but they got rid of the iGallop. That thing was insane. We did a photobooth which resulted in my head getting in the way and James looking like a "little drummer boy" and Liza squishing George. We all came back here afterwards, and we played apples to apples, danced to ghetto tunes and took pictures, then played Mario Party. (Where Liza physically stopped George from getting his star, ahem) and it was just lots and lots of fun.

And today my dad surprised me with the new Jodi Picoult book! I'm such a nerd for getting excited over something like that. But I started it and it's amazing, as usual.

The concert last night, ohhh my goddd.

Sara came down at like three yesterday, and we left and made a quick BK run, and listened to good music all the way up there. My mom even got into it and started singing along to Sublime. She's not half as bad at these concert things as I thought.
We get up there at like four thirty or five, and it's such a small venue. It was great! They let us in and Nightmare of You was doing a sound check, and we got to sit and listen. The place reminded me of a school dance- like a stage, and then just a big wood floor and that was it. The other bands set up little tables on one side with all their merch, and then around seven they started. Online it said that it was going to be Nightmare of You, The Peasantry and Edison Glass, but there was more. Two smaller bands opened, (Harris and Once More) so there were four opening acts. It was fun, but we were all getting restless.
There was only like sixty people there, so we got to get up really close. I swear, Brandon Reilly is yet anoter gift from God to me. He's scrawny and had messy hair but he was really funny on stage and was making jokes and rolling his eyes at the staff who kept messing up the acoustics. I got lots of pictures and Sara and I had so much fun just squeezed up real close to this boy who I thought was a girl who was dancing really spasticly, if that's even a word. But the kid sure did have snazzy shoes, we decided.
But that's not even the best part. After the show they just walked right off and went and sat at their merch table! I had already bought a cd & a shirt, but Sara and I were like, fourth in line to meet them. While we were waiting Brandon threw something, like a gum wrapper, and it hit me in the head. He smiled and apologized and I melted. When I got up there I was all happy and this is our conversation:
Me: Hi! Would it be okay if you signed this and I maybe got a picture?
The guitarist Joe: Of course we can!
Brandon: Why aren't you so polite. And formal. But in a good way! You'll go far in life. And as if we could say no to that adorable smile.
they sign my cd and Joe moves so I can go back with them where Brandon proceeded to put his hand on my waist and Joe's hand was on my back and I know that it probably isn't such a big deal but at the time it was!
Then I thank them and Sara goes and then we run away screaming. Probably like idiots.

Oh my God, if I'm like this with a smaller band, how will I be when I finally meet Gerard? We talked about it in the car and decided I better stock up on diapers so for when I piss my pants, I'll be all set.

pictures! pictures! )
