● Bailee is the only child that her mother has conceived but is the second of three children that dad has fathered. She has two older brothers, one is eighteen open and the other is twenty three, and a younger brother who will be due in January of 2008. She has only talked to her brothers a few times in person and quite a bit online and over the telephone. Bailee always hoped to see them a lot more once she had graduated from high school so it won’t cause trouble with her father. The eighteen year old brother is said to live in New Orleans and he attends the same college as Bailee but has not told her yet. Bailee would be thrilled to know her brother is so close but she has no idea and it looks like it is going to stay that way. One day Bailee hopes to be close to all of her family except her mother which Bailee has disowned in her mind and doesn’t consider to be apart of the family any longer.
● She started making her own money not long after she was born by becoming a Gerber baby and the money she made was put into a bank account for her. Each month her father put money into the bank account from his own pocket so that she’d have money when she got older. The money she won from beauty pageants and talent shows were put into the bank account as well. Bailee has not once touched the money in her personal bank account and does not plan on it any time soon. She hasn’t even looked to see how much she has in the account because she knows that looking will only tempt her. Bailee works at the mall on the weekends and a few times during the week after or before school and after or before extracurricular activities. The money she makes from her job is the money she spends for asking her father for things. Bailee believes in working hard for what you want or need.
● As a child she was not allowed to have a pet because her mother had allergies and when she moved in with her father after the divorce the first thing she bought was a chocolate lab. Despite her love for toy breeds she doesn’t have the want to take care of them as much as they need to be taken care of. She named her lab Tequila because the first time she laid eyes on him he was walking and bumping into things like he was under the intoxication of alcohol. Tequila is a very jealous of those who come in contact with Bailee but she does not let that prevent her from visiting friends or family. Tequila sleeps on his own bed which is directly beside Bailee’s bed and if she is at home he follows where ever she goes. He is the most loyal living thing she has ever been near. Bailee loves him like if she would if he were her child and she spoils him rotten because of her love and his good behavior. Bailee’s heart will break the day he dies and she does her best to avoid thinking about that day while she does everything she can to make sure he lives a happy, long, and healthy life.
● Bailee was told by her mother that she was a mistake at the age of six after her mother stormed out in the midst of a fight with her father. She was said to have ruined her mother’s body and her plans in life. After that day her mother never failed to remind her that Bailee was a mistake and that she would be the reason if the marriage between her father and her was to ever come to an end. At the time Bailee didn’t understand quite what her mother meant but the tone of her voice and the way she screamed and looked at Bailee had hurt more than the words did. It was then Bailee was sure she would strive for perfection to win her mother’s love even though it was obvious she never would. Despite the disdain her mother felt toward her Bailee loved her mother enough to keep trying.
● During a Christmas party when she was only eight years old Bailee woke up and snuck downstairs to see if she could see Santa. The lights were dim in some places in the house and those were the places Bailee would hide in when a grown up would walk by. In the end she decided to go retrieve cookies and milk in order to feed and thank Santa while she waited for some of the adults to clear out. It was in the kitchen that she caught her mother having sex with her father’s partner at his law firm. Her mother did not see her but he did and smirked at her. She left at that moment and kept quiet about the situation. Almost two weeks later the same man tried to molest her. When she started to cry he told her that she would get in trouble for him doing it to her and for walking in on her mother and him. Luckily for Bailee her father’s voice was heard as he walked toward the room and the man stopped. Bailee said nothing about the event until her father went to hug her good night a few nights later and she started to cry. After much convincing she told her father about the touching but not about her mother’s affair. The next day her father pressed charges and dropped all connection with the man.
● Her father put her in an all private girls school because of the male attention she received all of her life and by doing so he figured that she would be less in danger of male affection and attention. Bailee never minded the fact that she went to school with all girls and figured that her father’s reasoning was good enough. It helped keep her mind of perfecting everything about her and not letting guys control her emotions and actions. Going to school was less of a distraction and her worry about puberty wasn’t as high as when she was around guys. When Bailee moved to Texas she was moved out of a private school and into the public school where she would be around both sexes. Bailee was excited and her father was sure that she could handle herself well enough to attend. It has been a while and Bailee feels like she belongs more so than she did at her previous school. Even though Bailee looks forward to graduating she knows she will miss her school and all of her friends.
● Because Bailee went to school with girls all of her life she learned that they are the most deceitful creatures on Earth and that she would rather hang out with males because of it. Her closest friend (like a brother to her) is NAME and she enjoys his company more than anyone else’s. Hanging out with guys after school and girls while in school allowed Bailee to hear both sides of the gossip and she was able to figure out the real character of a person and was able to choose who’d she’d rather spend her time with. Now that Bailee is in high school and spends more time with both sexes she finds herself strongly drawn to males more so because of their laid back attitudes.
● Even though Bailee fears harm from men in some shape or form she still chooses to surround herself with them because she prefers them over women. A part of her knows that she surrounds herself with guys also because she feels that she can use their protection if ever needed. Bailee chooses to wrestle around with them and such so she can learn new ways to protect herself and to overpower someone of they try to hurt her. Her therapist tells Bailee that she craves male attention partially because of what her mother did to her and because he thinks Bailee puts the blame of the molestation on her mother because her father was the one that protected her while her mother had been the one having an affair with him. Instead of thinking that he is thinking too much into Bailee gave in and agreed because she knew he was right. The only negative attention she ever received from a male was that man and it was because of a woman in her eyes.
● At thirteen she was sent to a mental health institute for trying to kill herself because of her mother’s constant belittling and the fact that she would never be good enough in her eyes. Her friends were too caught up in make up and boys or girls and puberty to notice wrong. Her father worked too much and slept around to realize anything about his daughter that was negative. Because her mother was too ashamed to have her daughter institutionalized she signed Bailee out and agreed that she’d hire someone to watch Bailee as well as having Bailee take medication and attend group sessions with kids her own age three times a week and private sessions once a week. Because Bailee was good at pretending she was happy she was allowed to stop attending the meetings and sessions as long as she took her medication.
● During a cheering competition her bipolar medication was found by a fellow cheerleader on the school bus and because it humiliated her she lied about the pills and because she just wanted to get high. Everyone believed her because the pills had been in a plastic baggy and they couldn’t tell what the pills were. To keep her good name she threatened the girls with destroying their reputations with more secrets she had in order to keep hers protected. Bailee’s reputation was the only thing she had and she was willing to do almost anything in order to keep it. Worried about the school finding out about her carrying the pills in a baggy she stopped taking the pills after that incident only to have a mental break down in which she cut off hair off. The same afternoon her mother took her to a beauty salon out of town and had Bailee’s hair styled into a short bob around her chin. Nothing was ever said and the pills she had dumped down the sink were replaced with new ones that she began taking once again.
● At fifteen she inhaled the smoke into her lungs from her first cigarette and then turned green before she started coughing. Bailee tossed the cigarette aside and then proceeded to throw up on the tile floor of the bathroom at school. The commotion brought in other students and that drew the attention of teachers. Luckily for Bailee the cigarette had landed in a stall and the teachers were just concerned about her health because they knew of her problems. After the event she swore off cigarettes and turned her nose up at them from that moment out and tend to avoid people while they smoked. Her loathing for cigarettes goes so far that she can’t even stand the smell of them or the smoke from them. Despite having friends who smoke she doesn’t find the influence strong enough to put herself through the ‘tortures’ of smoking. She also thinks that smoking would ruin her picture perfect image. She also thinks that smoking would ruin her picture perfect image. Bailee doesn’t let anyone smoke in her bedroom or her car for any reason because of her disliking and because she doesn’t want to catch cancer from second hand smoke.
● During a cheerleading during her sophomore year in high school Bailee sprung her left wrist during a stunt. Afraid that she would get behind in school by letting people take their time in helping her she would practice writing with her right hand because she was left handed. By the time she healed Bailee had became ambidextrous. After that she would switch hands daily with every thing that she did so that she could become better at writing with both hands. Now Bailee is able to write as well with her right hand as she can with her left. She has even received comments concerning her beautiful manuscript on things she had written with her right hand on. Bailee plans to teach her children to write with both hands because she finds the talent to be unique and quite helpful.
● Far from the class slut, Bailee has yet to lose her virginity because she wants to lose it to someone she can see herself marrying if she can’t make it to her wedding night. A lot of her boyfriends have called her a tease and even though she is technically a bit of a tease she doesn’t go around teasing guys a lot because she’s too worried about her image, what her father would say about it, and because of what happened to her as a little girl. She’s made it to heavy petting and making out as well as bordering the third base plate but she’s taking her time and doesn’t want to make it home just yet. When ever Bailee feels like she is being pressured into doing something she doesn’t want to do or isn’t ready for she tells them no and then removes herself from the situation completely. If they keep on Bailee breaks up with them and avoids all contact. She isn’t scared to press charges now that she is older and will do it if needed.
● Writing in diaries began for Bailee as a child because she found them to be cute and wanted a different kind of diary each time that she finished one. It helped her get through things and she enjoyed writing. After trying to kill herself her therapist told her to keep one and so she just continued with writing in her diary. She expresses herself more in her written diaries but she does keep an online journal as well so that her friends can keep touch with her. Bailee also writes songs when she wants the world to know exactly how she feels but she doesn’t want to take the blame. The diaries that she has completed stay locked up in a wooden box that has a lock. The box stays in the attic and Bailee only ever opens the box so that she can put a completed diary in it. One day she hopes to write a book or to publish her journals. For now Bailee wants her deepest thoughts and problems a secret and she does so by writing in diaries she keeps hidden.
● Before her mother made her departure from Bailee’s life she made sure that Bailee had taken ballet, piano, violin, and singing classes starting right before was she first entered in beauty pageants at the age of four as well as signing her up for (recreation and competition) cheerleading, soccer, tennis, and track every year until the divorce. Bailee enjoyed all musical related things as well as cheerleading and sports so she did not resist them while her parents were married and even continued them after the divorce. Singing has always been a top priority in Bailee’s life because she finds it easier to express herself while having fun. All of the activities such as ballet and musical classes have helped Bailee with her music because she has the training to both perform and create. It is the only thing that she thanks her mother for.
● The nervous habit of Bailee’s constant gum chewing began as a little girl when her friend gave a her a stick of gum before climbing on a kids size roller coaster. Realizing that chewing the gum kept her mind from wondering about the ride she picked up the habit. Due to her being afraid of the dark she decided to chew it before bed every night until one night she fell asleep with it in her mouth and got the gum stuck in her hair. From the on out Bailee stuck to chewing gum until an hour before bed and dealt with being afraid of the dark by leaving her bathroom light on. Bailee is rarely ever seen without gum in her mouth unless she is eating food or drinking a certain kind of beverage. If Bailee is drinking a certain kind of beverage that will make the gum taste bad she tends to stick the gum on the side of her cup or she wraps it around her finger.
● Always the life of the party, her mood is constantly happy in front of others and if she is feeling a little blue she just tosses back a shot of alcohol and makes her way out onto the dance floor with her friends. Partying is one of her favorite things to do but she isn’t one of the girls that ends up passed out by the toilet or in the back room with some random guy. She knows when to stop and always has a friend by her side that she knows won’t take advantage of her or let her be taken advantage of. Her mother had always thrown back glasses of whiskey like it was water and so Bailee resists even more so because she doesn’t want to end up like her mother. The fact that most people take on a different personality when drinking isn’t something she favors as well and it makes her feel unsafe when she’s intoxicated. Cutting herself off before it is too late is a way to save her body not only in health but from attack as well.
● One of her guilty pleasures is dancing around in her underwear while she pretends that AJ Mclean is really signing to her as different Backstreet Boy albums play on her IPOD. She has always preferred the Backstreet Boys over Nsync because she feels that the Backstreet Boys actually have talent when it comes to singing. The lyrics and the singing is much better in her opinion and it doesn’t hurt that she thinks that every single one of them are easy on the eyes. She does like Nsync but she is a true Backstreet Boy princess. The first thing she listens to when she wakes up or comes home from school and the last thing she listens to before bed is a Backstreet Boys song. Bailee also admires that they have stayed together for so long and still manage to make amazing albums. She does almost everything while listening to music and it is usually the Backstreet Boys or and older musician that she is listening to when she does it.
● Bailee’s fear of the dark derived from the molestation of her father’s ex-partner that she received. Even though she knows that he is know where around now she still feels that the dark is dangerous because other men like him still exist. If she is out and about at night she always has an escort that she feels can protect her and some kind of weapon that she can do to protect herself if her escort fails. Still to this day she sleeps with her light on and when she has a friend over she leaves a night light on or her computer laptop. People have asked her why is she afraid of the dark and she’s always denied it by saying, “I’m not afraid of the dark. I’m afraid of what is the dark.” People have never questioned her further and she thinks it is because they assume that her answer talks about fears derived from scary movies and the like. In her bedroom Bailee has several different kind of lights and has a bad habit of buying things that create light. She doesn’t think she’ll ever quite conquer her fear.
● Religion has never ruled her life but she does manage to make it to church at least one Sunday out of the month. Because she doesn’t like to make choices even when it comes to her religion she went the easiest way and chose to be non-demonational. By attending church with different demonations Bailee feels that when she finally makes a choice about her religion it will be easier because she will have associated with and learned what different demonations believe. Ever so often Bailee gets the urge to switch her religion and put her time into becoming a catholic but the life-style ends up preventing her from doing so. She feels that she should not become one unless she’s able to devote her time into becoming a real one instead of being a hypocrite. Most of her family is catholic on her mother’s side but her father’s side do not have a dominant religion.
● The young woman that her father married after the divorce treated Bailee horribly while they were in school and after the marriage with Bailee’s father she seemed to worsen. Because Bailee wants her father to be happy and because she feels like she was the cause of her parent’s divorce she says nothing about the mistreatment. Her step-mother refuses to acknowledge Bailee being her step-daughter. She tries to treat Bailee like Cinderella but Bailee does her best to stay out of the house in order to prevent an argument about it. Even though Bailee loathes her step-mother she still likes her a lot more than she does her real mother. The only talent her step-mother has that Bailee can see is shopping and whining and those are talents Bailee wishes the woman lacked. As of late the nagging from her step-mother has been getting worse because she is on a kick of trying to order Bailee around in front of others. Bailee refuses to acknowledge her existence unless she has to and she barely does then.
● Bailee has an addiction to eating Wendy’s but she prefers to use McDonald’s barbeque sauce on her fries. Due to the fact that she is really athletic her metabolism is very fast and she gains no weight despite the things that she eats. On a normal day she’ll order a double cheeseburger and make it a large as while as ordering chili, a frosty, two five piece nuggets, and a Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger. After eating it she’ll usually want something from Taco Bell and then something for dessert. She does not share her food and has a pet peeve about people picking off her plate. Bailee will buy someone anything they want off the menu but they can’t pick off her plate. If they do pick of her plate she will give it to them after she gets angry because she refuses to eat after them. The only person that she will allow to pick off her plate or drink her beverages is her best male friend.
● She can not sleep by the door if she is sharing a bed with someone and if she is alone she will sleep on the side of the bed that is furthest from the door. She can’t sleep on her stomach at all and finds it very hard to fall asleep on her back. She typically sleeps on the side of her body that puts her back toward the door. Her bedroom door has to be closed and locked and the blinds have to be closed before she can sleep. Heat is something that keeps her wide awake so she tends to turn on a ceiling fan and the air condition on full blast before she climbs in the bed. Her sleeping schedule is never the same and she rarely falls asleep before two am in the morning. If Bailee does manage to make it to bed early it is because she has pulled an all-nighter for two nights in a row before that. She was once prescribed with medication to prevent the insomnia but it would make her fall asleep during class so she stopped taking it. It is easier for her to sleep during the day than it is the night and she thinks it might be because of the fears she harbors.
● The want for brothers and sisters was always there for Bailee but she didn’t ask her parents for more because she was a mistake in her mother’s eyes and because she did not want them to have to go through what she did. Bailee swears that she will save her little brother from anything that he may need saving from. She is glad that her step-mother is going to have a boy instead of a girl because she feels that she and her sibling will get along better. Even though she wants to escape from the state and move far away she knows that she will not because it will be leaving her brother alone to deal with all the problems in life. Bailee has a love for babies and little kids and so she looks forward to helping raise her brother. Her father let her choose the name Caden because he wanted to make up for what Bailee had to go through.
● Television has never really been a big priority in her life. The only shows that Bailee ever made a big deal about watching were Buffy The Vampire Slayer, The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, and Angel. The only show she makes a big deal about now is Instant Star and it is only on a few months out of the year. If Bailee is caught watching television it is usually reruns of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air, cartoons, Home Improvement, or cartoons. She owns every season of Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel and is currently working on trying to buy The Fresh Prince of Bel Air seasons. She feels that almost everything on television isn’t worth watching anymore and is starting to feel that way about the radio. If Bailee could she would go back in days where her father was her age or even further back if she could.
