Well you can twist and shout, let it all hang out,
But you won't fool the children of the revolution

Born in '67 on the 25th of August, just outside Cirencester, Barnaby Heathcliff Boldwood missed his calling as a sixties free-love junkie but did catch on to the arse end of the seventies with a vigour that'd make your head spin. Loving all things rock and roll, Barnaby hated when his fun was broken up by the politics of the first Wizarding War when he was fourteen years old, a feisty half-blood fucker and fourth year Gryffindor at Hogwarts who didn't like the idea of rock being bollocksed up by no pureblood arseholes looking to cut his ties from The Who and T.Rex. Wizarding rock was all well and good, but a boy who listened to The Rolling Stones on his radio at night before Hogwarts wasn't going to take no wizarding rock in exchange for the glimmer twins, thank you very much.

It wasn't all about his music, of course--it got personal when his older sister was killed in a Death Eater raid, sure. She was on the wrong side of it, dating a pureblood with a taste for those "beneath" him. It wasn't about blood statuses after that for young Barnaby. It was about 'them fuckers what that got me sister done in', plain and simple, Barnaby having never really cared about bloodlines and all that. He was a kid, and what mattered was music, his friends, and his family, and when you messed with any one of those, you had a angry young Cirencesterian on your hands, that was for certain. It was anger that turned Barnaby to music, the need to channel his hatred into something productive (violence was destructive, not constructive, his ma always told him) and what lead him to his dream to be a musician. Fuck the war, fuck fighting, he wanted to make people move to a beat they couldn't deny, to come together over melodies, not maladies. That would be the message, in his opinion, of The Weird Sister's music years later, when he and the boys got together over a lot of beers and shared goals. He would fight with his guitar and lyrics, teaming up with the brilliant (and equally barmy) Rom Baulstridge and the other blokes of the band to make something out of the lot of nothings they were before they got together. They got a wee bit of fame at first which snowballed into a ridiculous amount of fame come the second war, much to his surprise. Their music was pop rock politics and he was happy to provide what he could for the fight against the pureblood fuckheads.

While some retired and some were lost, Barnaby remains a musician in the band and in his heart to this day, having survived two wars, a marriage he doesn't speak of and that didn't last more than a month, and being around Rom as much as he has. He's ready for another war, if he has to be, writing songs to be armed with if/when the time comes.

Barnaby Heathcliff Boldwood, birthdate August 25, 1967, guitarist for The Weird Sisters, wicked loud leftist .
