CHARACTER INFORMATION
Name: Rosalie Jane Granger Weasley.
Birthday/Age: January 18th. 16.
House/Year: Ravenclaw, 6th year.
Classes: Charms, Transfiguration, DADA, Potions, CoMC, Ancient Runes.
History: Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger's romance was a tumultuous one at best. After a series of break-ups and make-ups that followed their heated kiss during the Battle of Hogwarts, the two finally decided to get married and settle down a few years later. If their marriage was supposed to end their constant bickering, it was one hell of a failed attempt, but despite all of their arguing, they trly loved each other, and that was evident. Coming from a large family, Ron automatically wanted children, but Hermione thought it best to spend a year or two working on their careers first. So they did, and Ron worked with George at the Joke Shop while he was training to be an Auror, and Hermione began work in the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, where she was instrumental in House Elf rights.

Rose came as a bit of a surprise for Ron and Hermione, as they had not planned on having children just yet. Nonetheless, she was welcomed with loving arms and almost immediately became a daddy's girl. Ron doted on his daughter as much as he could, and even stopped work at the Joke Shop to take care of her while Hermione was at work. Rose loved all the attention, and it is probably why to this day she has a tendency to steal the spotlight.

A year later, Hugo was born, and this time, The Granger-Weasley's were prepared. Rose initially disliked her brother's arrival, because her parents stopped doting on her and moved onto Hugo, but eventually she grew to love him too, and became an over-protective, loving sister. In the first few years of their lives, Rose and Hugo didn't see much of Hermione, since she was close to a breakthrough with her House Elf rights, and since Ron was nearing the end of his training, he spent a lot of time away from home too. Thus, Rose and Hugo spent most of their first years at The Burrow with their grandparents.

Sitting still was not one Rose's favorite past times, unless she was reading, so she busied herself with playing outside, bothering the gnomes, watching her cousins play quidditch, and tinkering with muggle items with her grandfather. She had a good childhood that, looking back on, she thinks really made her who she is today.

Rose could not wait until Hogwarts, and almost ran to Platform 9 and 3/4 when the time came to leave. After being warned by her father of one Scorpius Malfoy, Rose ran off with her cousins to the train and though she missed her family dearly, didn't look back. When her parents got a letter home saying that Rose was sorted into to Ravenclaw, neither were surprised. Playing with the cousins back at The Burrow, Rose was always outsmarting even the older ones with her quick wit and natural intelligence. Though she wasn't really bookish like manny of her fellow housemates, she still got along with most of them really well.

When Hugo joined her house the next year, Rose couldn't be happier. From first year to sixth year, Rose has been having a wonderful time at school, and, against her fathers wishes, has many friends she probably shouldn't have. She does well in school without really trying, though if she did try harder, she could get grades like her mother's. At current, Rose is trying to find herself a career that will make her successful and famous, but she's having troublefinding one that fits her, and that sort of scares her.

Personality: Rose Weasley is not her mother, and she makes the fact clear as much as she possibly can. Though she has her mother's intelligence and quick wit, she doesn't have that bossiness and know-it-all attitude her mother has. Instead, Rose adopted her father's quirkiness and all around amiable personality. She's courageous to the point of recklessness, and she is more stubborn than both her parents combined. Rose is brash and honest, a sometimes deadly combination, and has been known to say some things she shouldn't. She's a bit of a troublemaker, and has been known to accompany her more well-known trouble making cousins with their antics.

Rose is loyal as a dog and will not hesitate to send a nasty hex in someone's direction for a friend. She isn't the type of girl who likes to join clubs or play quidditch on a team, but she does love watching it and playing it with her cousins. Rose can be a little bit snarky and sarcastic, and though she doesn't exactly have the know-it-all attitude of Hermione, she can be a little bit condescending. She's extremely confident in herself, and will make sure you know it, and aspires to be someone famous one day.

A rebel in her own right, Rose makes a point to do the opposite of what people tell her to do. She's extremely opinionated, and does whatever she thinks is right. Rose is not afraid of taking risks, but takes risks with all the consequences in mind. She uses her intelligence for better and for worse, and has a tendency to do things for her own gain rather than others. She likes to steal the spotlight, and is very over-protective of those she loves.

Being a half-blood and having muggle grandparents, Rose knows that all that pureblood blah blah blah is ridiculous and cruel. However, she is always trying to get what she wants and do what is best for her, so it is a little uncertain where her loyalties would lie if someone were to tempt her with something that would help her. Most likely though, she would stick to her roots and support her family, because she loves them dearly.

Major Details:

+Rose loves mystery and adventure novels, and if it weren't so darn cliche, she'd probably become an Auror.

+Despite her more outdoorsy nature, Rose loves cooking. Years of spending time at The Burrow with Grandmum Molly gave her pretty wicked cooking skills.

+Though she claims that she doesn't play quidditch because she just doesn't like organized sports, the real truth is that Rose is afraid of heights. When she plays with cousins at The Burrow, she flies as low to the ground she possibly can without being called out for it.

+Rose loves to experiment and create new things. Most of the time it ends disastrous.

+MORE TO COME AS CHARACTER DEVELOPS.

PB: Annie Beust.

WRITING SAMPLE

Rose Weasley was on fire. Literally. A botched attempt at creating a new potion had left Rose with the sleeves of her robes on fire and a murky brown mixture that smelled a lot like owl droppings. "BUGGERFUCK!" She shouted as she attempted to grab her wand from the table without burning her hand, only to indeed burn her hand and curse some more. After a few minutes of flailing, Rose put that mind of hers to good use and shook her robes off her body, and proceeded to stomp on the flames as she grabbed her wand and put out the fire with a little spray of water.

"Well that sucked." Rose inspected her burnt hand, not at all fazed by the fact that she had just nearly burnt down the entire Potions room and herself. She had been working on a potion that would allow people to have specific dreams; one type of potion for dreams that resembled an acid trip, one for dreams of success. She had no real inspiration for this odd idea, just boredom and her own dream from last night about an Owl Detective. Rose had the vaguest idea of where to start with this particular potion, and would have finished it off nicely if a drop of the pumpkin juice she had been drinking hadn't slipped into her concoction.

"Oh, well." Never one to let a little fire get in the way of things, Rose continued to perfect her potion, despite her injured hand and ruined robes. Rose was not a multi-tasker; not because she couldn't be, but simply because she didn't like to be. So, despite the smell of burnt flesh and cloth stinging the air, Rose continued with her potion, unaware. That is, until the Potions professor re-entered his formerly spotless classroom and demanded Rose's attention. Rose, however, was not willing to give it to him.

"Be quiet please, Prof, i'm almost done. Could it wait, like five more minutes?"

Needless to say, Rose received a two days of detention and a weeks worth of cleaning duty.
