Noting the formation of the new Birds of Prey, Anansi takes some interest in their story and decides to re-tell it.

1. Joy, Sin, and Nala were never friends. They never knew each other, but were connected by

Nala is the Bronze Tigress of the League of Assassins; greatest martial artist in their arsenal. She is not in control of her mind, and was forced to kill both of her parents while under mind control. At the moment, she has no free will.

Joy is the sole survivor of Gotham City after it was nuked by the Joker. After getting her revenge by killing him, she deals out bloody justice without mercy. Her latest battle was with Lady Shiva. Needless to say, Lady Shiva is no more.

Sin didn't leave the monastery of her own choosing. The monks forced her to leave when the League of Assassins found her and attacked. All of the monk were killed, and the monastery was destroyed. Her only token to keep from them were parting words from Richard Dragon before his demise.

2. The League of Assassins attack Star City and defeat most of it's heroes. Sin is the last hero that remains to be captured. Nala is sent after her.

3. Joy infiltrates Star City and starts taking out members of the League. She comes across Nala and Sin, who are in a heated battle.

4. Nala is left open to attack at some point, and Joy tries to shoot her in the head. The bullet hits her mask, but reflects off after breaking the mask. Nala is freed from the mind control.

5. Sin convinces Joy and Nala to work with her in stopping the League of Assassins, and the three women start taking down the league members that had invaded Star City. The free other heroes along the way who join them.

6. Sin, Nala, and Joy (and he other heroes, who are just background and play no pivotal role), clear Star City of the LoA. With that threat gone, the three of them form the new BoP at Sin's suggestion.

7. However, Anansi ends up not liking the new story he created and returns things to normal. The three of them wake up and tell each other about the strange dream -- nightmare even -- that they all collectively shared. Some elements of the AU are left in their timeline, which they will confront at a later time.

Every time Nala thought she might get the upper hand, Sin proved she was always a step ahead of her. Nala sighed, but she wasn't upset. She'd never been able to beat Sin during one of their sparring sessions, so she didn't expect that to change so soon. She sat down in a nearby chair and took a drink out of her bottle of water.

"Looks like I still have some work to do," she commented.

ABILITIES: Nala is a highly accomplished martial artist, having been trained by the likes of Bronze Tiger, Vixen, Richard Dragon, Black Canary, etc.. She's considered among the best martial artists. She knows Jeet Kune Do, Hop Kido, Silat, Savate, Dragon Style Kung Fu, and Leapord Style Kung Fu, among various others. She also has the ability to manipulate her chi and read movements, skills learned under the instruction of Richard Dragon (and the latter molded further through her friendship with Sin Queen). Through her mother, she has a minor connection to the Red. She can gain the attributes of animals, but only when her emotions are running wild (it's an unconscious thing, and something she won't ever really be able to grasp without a totem like her mother's).
WEAKNESSES: Nala is a baseline human. Nala's connection to the red makes it a requirement for her to keep her emotions mostly in check. If her temper spikes, she can go into animalistic fits of rage. Likewise, she can be overwhelmed by other emotions and animal instincts will take over. With meditation and the proper channeling of her chi, she can mostly stave off the effects.

HISTORY: Ben Turner and Mari McCabe's relationship blossomed and the pair eventually married. Not much longer after, Nala was born. Nala was raised, from a young age, learning to protect herself and others. She had a natural talent for martial arts, so her father decided that he would teach her everything he knew. Lessons were also given by her mother, and family friends such as Richard Dragon. Her lessons with Richard Dragon were particularly important, because it helped her control the animalistic urges that surfaced time and again. Through her lessons in martial arts and meditation, Nala befriend Sin Queen. The pair quickly became best friends and often spar and meditate together.

In recent years, Nala has taken up a life of fighting crime. She uses her mother's codename, despite not possessing the totem that grants her mother power (given that Mari goes crazy without it). Nala joined the JLA, but frequently patrols on her own time in cities around the world that need help. On the side, she also follows in her mother's footsteps as a model.

How do you plan to introduce the character to the game? Either a thread with Sin or with the JLA.
What are you planning to do with this character? More martial artist type things. Maybe a plot with the LoA sometime.
What do you want to see happen with this character? Development with her urges and controlling them, and general RP.
