Following World War 2 America had found itself still caught in the Great Depression. Seeks new methods to get out of it the US government begins to privatize Government agencies something that the rest of the world starts to do as well with the exception of the communist block.

After a couple decades corporations now control and run most of the world government with the two most powerful becoming Wayne Enterprises and Queen Industries. The two companies became more and more aggressive and hostile towards each other leading to a war between the two companies that has consumed much of the USA leaving the interior of the country a war zone with Queen on the west coast and Wayne on the east coast. The war has started to spread out of the country between the two companies which has began to worry what remains of the world governments and the smaller corporations.

Only Metropolis has managed to stay out of the war in the US due to the Supers and Lexcorps joint work. But this will last only so long as they both stay out of the war otherwise both Wayne and Queen have swore to kill all the Supers and Lex and destroy Metropolis.

Genius Level Intellect- Drew probably to the surprise of everyone who knows him is actually incredibly smart but that usually doesn't show up do to his obsession with money

Vibro-shock gauntlets- Based on his dad's original gauntlets. Drew has made them more powerful and even better finesse through a lot of trial and error. They enable him to do a variety of things.
- Concentrated air blast punches
- Shatter something using vibrational energy
- Vibrational air shield which can deflect blows and allow him to escape someones grasp
- Increase the force of his blows

Shock protection costume- Drew's costume is capable of absorbing a lot of blunt kinetic force enabling him to use his gauntlets without killing himself.

Weaknesses and flaws: Drew is a normal human and has all the weakness that come with that. Drew is also extremely greedy and money obsessed. He can be made to do just about anything for money and chases after money a lot.

The feedback from his gauntlets is extremely powerful and without his costume could kill him if he uses them.

Master Alchemist- Chance when enemies attack to gather mystical energy. Three mystical energies gives Jack Alchemic might.

Alchemic Might- Jack can cast Transmute Ground, Acid Rain and Alchemy Shield as quick actions.

Abilties

L1- Alchemic Blast- Single target magic ranged energy attack.

L2- Transmute Ground- Ground Attack. Causes Slowed.

L6- Acid Rain- Targets all opponents for a magical ranged attack. Catstrophic Attack. Causes Armor melt and Acid Burn. Acid Burn deals damage each turn for three turns.

L9- Alchemy Shield- Single target buff. Create a shield effect. Reflects some damage as magic onto attacker.

Dark Gods

When several Dark Gods of various pantheons allied together to rid themselves of the Famels before the could finish their work on a true Elixir of Life Hans escaped the destruction with most of the Famels journals on magic, alchemy, occult, and other secret knowledges. The Dark Gods were not happy about this and have sent the minions to collect the journals so that they could have to to ensure that such knowledge never again falls into mortal hands.

After several centuries the Dark Gods for the most part have stopped really caring about Hans since he has not really seemed to be looking into the formula or to be that much of a threat to them and has been keeping the journals out of others hands and have usually just been content to have their minions hassle him from time to time. But who knows what they might do if the found out how powerful an alchemist he has become or that he has been looking into that research himself if ineffectively.

WWII

Hans had been been working in a small village outside of Munich with the German resistance. He had not been in German since after WWI which had been for a short while to help out his home country a little. But he knew he needed to be here to defend the home he loved from this darkness that had over taken it. Little did he known that he was going to find something even more dangerous than soldier with a gun. Not much of a match for an alchemist of his skill.

But the Thule Society was another thing entirely. They knew some powerful magic and most of it was very dark. Darker than even the Fuhrer knew and Hans could not let them continue. He had been very careful about keeping his identity secret and his magics strength hidden. The resistance didn't know what he could do either but they did know he got the job done and that he had something against the Thune.

"Good news my friend," The local resistance leader who looked about Hans' age told, "We had word of a valuable shipment being delivered to your friends the Thune. I thought you might like to make it disappear."

"Yes I do like the sound of that," Hans says, "Just tell me the route and I'll take care of it."

"Along here," He says pointing his finger along a route.

"That shipment will never reach it's destination."

A couple hours later Hans was hiding in the bushes near a small road in the mountains up to one of the castles the Thune like to use.

He could hear the caravan of cars and the truck before he saw them. Placing his hand on the rough and beaten road preparing a work of alchemy pouring a bit of his aura into the road. He waited for the caravan to get up to him and for the truck to be almost directly ahead of him before striking.

The road softened to the point so that the tires of the vehicles began to sink into the road and once they had sunk in enough he made the road ridged and solid like it was before trapping the caravan in place.

There were a few curses in confused German and people got out of the cars to investigate what was going on. There were maybe ten of them and all armed with guns except one of them. The others did not worry him too much as long as he was smart about all of this but the last one seemed like he might be a high ranking member of the Thune which meant some powerful magic.

Deciding it would be best to take out the guns before dealing with the rest stretched out his will to transmute all the gunpowder nearby into sand. He could feel it getting to him doing these works like this.

Coming out of the bushes Hans spoke, "Looks like you are having car troubles."

"And I guess you are the source of them," The unarmed one said taking lead them waving his hand detecting the magic in the air, "Shoot him now."

Pointing their gun at him to fire they found their guns not firing.

"What's the matter shooting blanks," Hans says touching the ground again, "Let me know you how to really fight." With that the road burst open as Hans created a thick forest around him tapping into the dead growth underneath the road.

The trooper were all knocked out or trapped by the rapidly growing forest but the leader created an aura of fire around him burning away at all the plant growth.

"You will find me not so easy to beat," The leader says throwing a fireball at him, "Your master has trained you well but he should have come himself to fight me."

"And you don't know who or what you are dealing with," Hans says barely rolling out of the way of the fire ball. He than cause the ground under him to liquefy like quicksand trapping him up to his head in the earth.

Getting up on his feet he gave the leader a savage kick to the head knocking him out as he got the to the back of the truck.

It contained a manege of mystic artifacts that didn't really surprise him which he would make disappear. But the book did surprise him. It was one of Famel's journals that he had lost. A prize great and more dangerous than they probably knew.

Book Store

A rather standard looking small bookstore with the main area selling books typical for a normal bookstore. There is however a small back room with some rare older books including a few books of note and power. Though Jack is very care about selling any of those books and does not advertise that the back room even exists.

Jack has an apartment upstairs were he lives and the locked basement is a perfectly set up alchemist lab with the Flamel journal hidden within the concert of the basement.

When asked about how he can afford to own an run such a place at such a young apparent age Jack tell a story about getting inheritance from his parents death that allowed him to do this.

The store has a few other employees but they don't know any of Jack's secrets nor are they allowed to sell any books from the rare books stock without his say so first.

Apparent Age: Twenty Something

History: Jack was born to a poor family in German in 1394. There really wasn’t much chance for him to advance in life even though he was rather bright. All of that changed with a chance Nicholas Flamel where he greatly impressed him who apprenticed him as a student where Jack showed true talent for alchemy and became one of his favorite students and learned many of his secrets.

However the darker gods felt Nicholas was going to powerful and starting to become a threat to their waning power. They set into motion events that would ultimately lead to the demise of both Flamel's and most of what they worked so hard to accomplish when the Flamels though they had discover the secret to the Elixir of Immortality. Jack barely survived the fall out and possesses many of the Flamel's journals and books on magic an Alchemy something that he has kept secret. Some of the servants of the Dark Gods made off with a few of the journals but Jack has most of them and has been slowly hunting down the other ones.

Jack has been in hiding ever since brewing the elixir of life every month to stay young and virtually immortal. Jack keeps just how powerful he really is a secret with only a few people left alive that still know.

To most he is just a nice fun loving guy with some still in alchemy if they know of such things and works very hard to blend in with the times. Every decade or so Jack likes to attend college again having found them to be a good way to blend in if he doesn't let himself stick out to much and he moves to different cities on roughly the same cycle. He is currently located in Denver where he runs a small bookshop after have graduated again at a college nearby.

Powers: Jack is an extremely powerful Alchemist. As such he is capable of Matter manipulation(Such as turning lead into gold and coal into diamonds), Force Blasts, Chlorokinesis, Pyrokinesis(Exciting Air molacules till they combust), Intangibility(By making object permeable to him with a touch) among other powers. These abilities are all do to the use of magic mixed with science that makes Alchemy work. Due to his aptitude for Alchemy Jack does not process much skill for sorcery or any other type of magic.

Jack is an immortal in the sense that as long as he takes the Elixir of Life he does not age, is unaffected by disease or poison, is slightly more durable than a normal person and has a minor healing factor in the hours after taking the Elixir. But otherwise he can be hurt and killed like a normal person. Though doing that is much harder said than done. After a month of not taking the Elixir the effects will quickly fade and he will start to rapidly age still he dies which he guess would be about a week.

Even for Jack the Elixir of Life is a complex thing to make and only know how to make it for himself.
