I don't understand why people hire interns if all they do is expect them to do everything but study and observe and do what they were hired to do.

No wonder they didn't give us desks--there's nothing to need them for!

I totally tried to do a piece on that protest Ingrid was talking about and someone took one look at it and said "What paper do they think they're writing for?"

The really cool part of this was they didn't know an intern wrote it and what they said sounded more impressed than that it was accompanied by eye-rolling. And more like "Well, you tried, too bad we're totally LAME and don't publish stuff like this."

Annnnd I also stuck it under the door of the editor's office, but that's irrelevant, right? Someone totally could have had it slip off the pile they were levitating in there. With no name on it. Or editorial mark-ups.

It's such a ~~surreal~~ ~~sad~~ surreal feeling to go from the youngest of four to the only child in the space of a very short time.

Well, perhaps surreal isn't the perfect word, but.

At least the internship with the Prophet looks to be panning out. That's one thing going right, at the very least.

I also made blueberry muffins, but somebody ate them all.

I think I'm going to have to jump on the bandwagon and mention how overjoyed I am that N.E.W.T.S are over! Why are exams always so stressful? I think I just about pulled out my entire head of hair in stress over it. And the distractions-- I never thought I'd get a bit of studying done! But they're over! And now we can properly begin to enjoy our last days of term while I refuse to think about what I scored.

And I think I shall start enjoying myself by finding a very perfect tree by the lake and spending a few hours doing absolutely nothing.

It has come to my attention that History of Magic is oh-so-very boring, and therefore I am not paying it any more attention. Is that awful of me? Perhaps it is, but I don't care. There are much better things to occupy my time with then goblin rebellions or spell inventions or anything else that class can teach me.

Or perhaps I am just awful at history because I can hardly remember what happened to me yesterday, let alone four hundred years ago. Well, not what happened to me four hundred years ago, but what happened four hundred years ago. And the entire century. And not just this day in time, four hundred years ago. I mean a rough approximation of four hundred ye--well. I suppose you get the picture.

I want lovely weather. I think an outside picnic would be lovely. Also, excellent Quidditch weather is in order. ~~Or perhaps not, because Slytherin is playing soon and they're already in last place, where they should stay~~. I am so pleased we won.

Sometimes, I think I shall either cut off all my hair or change its color.
