Player (nickname, handle)/ LJ: Allie Email: on file AIM (if you have one): on file Character Name: Helena Marie Davis Character LJ (if applicable): catgoturtongue Physical description (face, build, weight): 5'8", 145 lbs, brown hair, brown eyes. Age: 23 Birthday: April 17th Codename (if using one): Catwoman PB: Sophia Bush Abilities: Helena has received some hand-to-hand and self defense training from her mother, but not enough to make her an expert by any means. She has been teaching herself how to use a whip and finds that she is pretty handy with it. A trained ballerina and gymnast, Helena is very flexible and agile. As she is also a fashion designer, Helena is handy with disguises.
Helena also has a natural affinity for cats and they seem to be drawn to her.
Weaknesses and flaws: Helena is a normal human woman, with normal human weakness. As she is also very new to the whole costumed vigilante gig, she does not have as much experience as some of the other more seasoned heroes out there, and this can be used against her. Helena also has a very short temper at times that she lets get the best of her.
Helena also has a different set of morals from those that pick up the cape and cowl. While she'll beat the ever-loving crap out of a mugger, the crime lord that murdered her family deserves nothing worse than death...and she'd kill him herself if she got the chance. Helena is not above killing those that "really, really deserve it". A mugger, not so much, but someone as bad as the Joker deserves a bullet through the head.
Character location/Home: Blüdhaven Alignment (villain, hero etc): Team: None Relatives (living/dead?): Sam Bradley Jr (father, deceased), Selina Kyle (mother, deceased), Frank Davis (adoptive father, deceased), Ellen Davis (adoptive mother, deceased) Backstory: The result of a romance with Sam Bradley, a member of the Gotham City Police Deparment, who died in a confrontation with a crimnal, Selina Kyle, the reformed villain turned hero Catwoman, gave birth to their daughter, Helena, and retired from the costumed scene, passing on the mantle of Catwoman to Holly Robinson. Selina raised her daughter as a single mother, though their happiness was short lived, as the B-list villains Film Freak and Angle Man figured out the identity of Catwoman, and kidnapped the baby Helena. After successfully saving her daughter, and not wanting to put her in any further danger, Selina enlisted the help of Bruce Wayne to help fake Helena's death, and Selina put her up for adoption.
Helena was adopted by Frank and Ellen Davis, a wealthy couple in Gotham Heights who were unable to have children. When she was seven, her parents told her that she was adopted. And while this was a lot to handle for Helena at first, she knew that it didn't change that her parents loved her. Still, Helena felt like there was a void in her heart, as she wanted to know more about the parents that gave her up, especially her mother. However, she not allowed to learn more about them until she turned eighteen.
When Helena turned eighteen, she contacted the agency that handled her adoption to see if she could find her birth parents. Nothing was found, as she was given to the agency with nothing more than her name, Helena Marie. Helena then went through the various medical procedures to find out who her birth parents were. Upon finding out their names, Sam Bradley and Selina Kyle, Helena did some background work into who they were before contacting them. Though she was sad to find out that her biological father was deceased, she was both excited and a little scared to discover that her mother was still alive and living in Gotham City. Helena applied to Gotham City University as a fashion design major, and decided to find her birth mother to try and get to know the woman who gave her up better. While Selina was shocked to see Helena at first, and tried to send her away, afraid that one of her old enemies would out that she was still alive and use her against her again, Selina gave into her feelings and began to form a relationship with her long-lost daughter. While she knew that her adoptive parents still loved her as if she was their own, Helena was happy to get to know her birth mother.
When she first asked Selina why she gave her up, Selina was hesitant to tell Helena the truth about her past as Catwoman and why she couldn't raise her daughter. After sometime, Selina told Helena everything, about her past as Catwoman, and why she had to give up Helena for adoption, as she didn't want to risk losing her daughter for good. Surprisingly, Helena seemed to accept this, though she did ask that her mother give her some basic hand to hand and self defense training, and after making Helena swear that she wouln't try and go into costumed crime-fighting, Selina obliged.
Helena graduated from Gotham City University when she was twenty-one with a degree in fashion design. She got a job at the Gotham City branch of Mad Mod Fashions and moved there full-time. Helena was happy, having developed a closeness with Selina as well still being close to her adoptive family.
But her happiness was shirt-lived. On New Year's Eve, tragedy struck, and while at a party with her co-workers, Selina Kyle was murdered by an old enemy of hers...who had been spying on her long enough to know that she had reformed ties with her daughter, and done research into Helena Davis. Shortly after her mother was murdered, the Davises turned up murdered in their Gotham Heights home. Devastated, Helena broke into the Gotham City Police department and stole the evidence from the evidence locker. She was able to piece together that the man that had her mother murdered was an old enemy on Catwoman's...and was actually based out of Blüdhaven. When going through Selina's apartment (as she had left everything to Helena in her will), Helena found her old Catwoman costume and whip, and decided that she couldn't let the murders of her mother and her adoptive parents go unsolved. Helena moved to Blüdhaven, deciding that it would be best for her to track down her mother's killer if she moved there, and took her mother's costume and gear with her. Though she commutes to Gotham for work, Helena spends the large portions of her nights trying to solve the murders of her parents... and plans to deliver her own brand of justice when she finds the scumbag who did it.
She has yet to don the Catwoman costume, however. First, she plans to find an old acquaintance of her mother's to try and get him to help her.
A Mr. Bruce Wayne.
How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: She will go to talk to Bruce Wayne to try and get him to help her. After he rejects her, she'll don the mantle of Catwoman and try and take matters into her own hands. What are you planning to do with this character?: Try and find her mother's killers. While she's not exactly Bat-family or based out of Gotham, maybe run into a couple of them at least once. Her and Maria could be interesting to see. What do you want to see happen with this character?: I'd like to see her have some disagreements with other heroes about her "different" morals. Maybe eventually set her up as still trying to clean up Bludhaven, though right now, she doesn't consider herself a hero by any means of the imagination, and just wants to find who killed her parents.
