Rar. >:( [Apr. 27th, 2007|12:51 pm]
My second art teacher is useless, I swear! Our A-level exam is next week, and on Monday I told her what I planned to do for my final piece. The topic I chose is skulls (yay morbidity! :D) and I'm painting a Day of the Dead dancer with a skull-mask and a skull-pattern on her dress. My teacher said that was fine, it sounded good.

Today she corners me (corners me I say!) and asks if I've planned my final piece. Well... yeah, it hasn't changed since I told her last... so I described it again, and she gives me this dubious look and says she thinks I'll get marked down for not having a real skull in the picture. We'd been told from the beginning that we could do anything so long as it's linked somehow to our topic, but now, less than a week before the final exam, she turns around and tells me that I have to do a life drawing of a skull, preferably against some nice fabric.

Um... what?

I told her that I couldn't exactly change it now when I've planned it, got stuff ready for it, and everything in my sketchbook leads up to it. So I asked her why she didn't point this out a week ago when I told her about my final piece, and she started talking about something completely different. Rar! Answer the question! >:( Screw it anyway. I want my Mexican dancer, damnit.

At least one of my art teachers can actually, y'know, teach (we rotate classes between two, hence 'second art teacher'), but neither of them actually talk to one another about classes, one constantly loses her art block keys and the other doesn't have any, and both of them constantly change their minds about what we can and can't do for our projects! It was bad enough on the last topic, where they told us till the end that we had, had, HAD to do a life-painting of hands on wood, and then at the eleventh hour decided that all along we'd been allowed to do anything to do with bodies.

*blows something up*
