Come be brutally honest about me?
I'll be taking notes. :P No, really: I do worry about whether I come off as a jackass sometimes and people are too nice to tell me.
In a completely different vein, I went to the subject-specific open day for Colchester uni yesterday, and my God was it ever just as marvelous as I remember it. The campus is beautiful -- all lakes and rolling fields and a lecture theatre like a crash-landed space shuttle. And the course looks excellent. I've gotten a conditional offer to do creative writing there, which has actually turned out to be one module of creative writing and three of other things, but hey. When 'other things' here means 'awesome topics such as Myths and Film-Making', who's complaining? :D
Next stop, Bath Spa. Which is currently second in my mental order of preference, due to the size and the remoteness and the cost of living there, but which I will reserve final judgement on until I've seen it again. And besides, it only asks for 220 UCAS points, whereas Colchester wants 300. O_O Bath'll probably end up as my reserve. |
