Finished Touched By The Devil, aka That One Book About Psychopathy That I Mentioned A Little While Ago. It's not great.
It veers like a person with terrible bipolar disorder between ridiculous melodrama and embarrassing glurge -- I'll give you a typical quote, describing a 'path's eyes as "empty voids that transmit an evil portent", and leave you to imagine the awkwardly-phrased exercise in thesaurus-bashing that is the rest of the book -- and seems to consider a page without a reference to devillishly diabolical devil-touched devils as a page wasted.

So if you're after a book about psychopaths in general, and you don't mind complaining out loud at the page every other chapter, go right ahead and try it. It's an annoying read, but an informative one. |
